Cs or Valorant doesn't matter. But the fact is that Cs was going down before Valorant's release and after Valorant got dropped, valve had to pull up there pants and make the game better. To have two games is much better for both parties cause they push each other to be better.

I have the same opinions as Tarik, both games are fun and you play whatever you’re feeling that day. Since I’ve been playing csgo for so long I started getting back to valorant to spice things up and the game is also great.
Neither game is better since they both have aspects that can make a game better at a certain point while other not so much, csgo movement will always be the best movement for me, source engine’s spaghetti code will always have a special place in my heart, tho needing to learn a shit tons of line ups can be a bit tiresome and pretty daunting when learning a new map. Valorant abilities are unique and easy to use, you don’t need to rely to 3 other guys to know the line up and throw at a certain timing for a site execution, you only need one guy with an iPad, shooting mechanics was broken when run and gun was a huge thing, but now it’s fine as hell, no random spawns helps a lot and a great anti cheat, like seriously, the main reason why I recommend valorant a lot more is because of cheaters, VAC doesn’t do much and you can pit against cheaters a lot while valorant I haven’t see one till this day, but I still love both games.
Can’t deny the fact that content and beginner friendliness valorant is much better, but some gameplay aspects I feel that csgo is much better. Like whatever you want, both games are amazing

Before valorant cs was getting dull/lazy, 2019 was the year of the AUG/Krieg which finally made the community realized how much of cs’s playerbase just dickride pros, what they do and stay with the mentality that if its working, dont change it. Dont get me wrong, those 2 weapons were way too good but it has been like that since the beginning but no one wanted to try them out because why change from the m4/ak? And instead of balancing it valve just nerfed both to the point that both guns are kinda irrelevant now, same with every other gun. Devs were getting so negligent and the game became boring, they barely cared about the pro scene and only have a minor change every few years.
Valorant was a breath of fresh air, bringing cs and even overwatch, siege, fortnite, apex, etc pros to the scene and innovating the ceiling every week. Agent metas, guns, maps, strats were came up with and countered every patch and pro scene was fun, the community actually had a say and devs cared(at least more than cs). In valorant there never was as much of a rigid rule like in cs where you have to do this, or that doesnt work. People limit tested the game even to this day and its amazing to play. After which valve finally put some effort into the game and its better to play now, esp after the nade drop changes and map pool changes.
Both games have its flaws, but honestly having both games coexist is amazing for both scenes and esports in general.

I started playing fps like a year and a half ago after playing MOBAs for like 15years and I started with CS but couldn’t handle the cheaters and left immediately :( now I enjoy both Val and CS but I just play Val most of the time since I have more skins there :P

The CS vs Valorant war isn't as bad as people think. I still remember how cancer the LoL vs Dota kids were 10 years ago

Tarik would be playing CS if all the NA CS pros didn't switch to valorant. There's more content to be farmed in valorant cos theres more people he knows playing it. People make the content not the game.

Funny thing is Valorant players rarely think about CS but Valorant lives rent free in the heads of most CS players.

Val fixed every issue that I had with CS. Personally Val is more fun to watch. CS has some absolutely amazing moments. But that just it. They're moments. In Val, yeah there are boring rounds. But for me personally it's more fun to watch as a whole. And that's just talking about the watching aspect. Playing CS just never clicked with me. It is quite literally a "Mad cuz bad" situation. I do respect the impact it has had on Val and Esports as a whole. Definitely a classic and one of the best shooters to come out ever.

Yes man. Both game hv great thrilling tension when we watch their tournaments. But Val, its just something else. The dynamic due to agent selection, role, nerf, buff, is just so fun to watch. I always found something intresting each tournaments.
