- After hours and hours and weeks and weeks, I've finally finished every relic in Final Fantasy XIV's Eureka - the exploratory zone from Stormblood. Just in time for Dawntrail, which is going to add a new exploratory zone. Cut my life into pieces. At least we got a bunch of achievements and money out of the deal.

Yep, I checked his Lalachievements profile. He doesn't do them off-screen or anything, he really is just grinding the mats and throwing them out. That makes me irrationally angry but also begrudgingly impressed. It takes some motivation to commit to a bit that hard.
The final achievement video is going to be a mad dash through all the dragoon relics. 😂

I know his joke about Dragoons and as a Dragoon main I find it funny, but one day he'll HAVE to do the Relic hunts for them if he wants to have all the achievements and he'll have to suffer through this again.
I mean, it's still gonna be funny, but still.
Nah he's just not gonna do them. Because the series is going to end well before the achievements do, because of several multi-year grinds and besides it continues Dragoon main tilt.

23:00 Hi! I used to be an avid Eureka farmer. There are actually some REALLY efficient ways to farm Moisture-warped Lockboxes, and I can confirm that the platinum pieces are generally what you look for out of those. The Yukinko Snowflake minion might still be worth a bit as well, but the emotes have tanked in recent months and never sell unless you've got a stack of 20+ and can offload them on someone trying to play the market by offering a steep discount. I usually just give away those emotes to friends for free because they're so hard to sell.
The aether oil can't even be vendored, so trash it. Tacticals get given to the Doman Enclave. Orchestrion rolls get burned to serve as fuel for the poor kids in the Brume. And the platinum pieces are just 10k gil to a vendor,so really, that's all you want out of them.
29:29 The most efficient money maker in Eureka isn't actually Baldesion Arsenal, it's moisture-warped lockboxes. You can get ~60 platinum pieces in 40 minutes every night cycle if you have a properly set-up farm group, which is 600k gil in just raw vendor items, disregarding drops like Snowflakes and emotes. Bunny treasures can pay out huge as well, but that's for people that like playing the lottery, and you're better off doing that in Pagos where you can get a minion drop worth about 20m

Dyed metallic orange, it's a deep red when sheathed and burning orange when drawn.

You asked which relics are our favorites, and I think I like the same ones you do. I will probably go for the Dark Knight sword first. If I have it in me to grind for a second Eureka relic, it will probably be Torigashira, the SAM katana.

Tuah Eureka/Physeos was the entire reason I started Eureka, it's gorgeous. Now I've had them all for a couple months now and still enjoy doing bunnies, boxes, BA and helping folks pop NMs when I'm bored with nothing to do. It really is a special chunk of content and I'm hopeful that the new zones in Dawntrail will be closer to it than Bozja.
Hydatos boxes are good because you can open them in bulk fast without stopping to sort the dozens of trash glams and furniture of other zones, their rates on sell tokens are decent and you can pull the Yukinko Snowflake minion rarely. The reason the emote books and minions plummet in value is that the devs put them on the recent moogle events, so people got them in bulk to slow sell, not thinking of all the other people who had the same idea. They'll go back up over time.
Jebat was my first current content relic when I finished it. It will always have a special place in my heart.
Ah, a fellow keeper of completed relics. That's what one of my retainers is dedicated to.
The Eureka ones are especially worth keeping because they’re bis within Eureka if you Physeos them
I got all the physeos weapons about a month ago, happy to see you get all the eureka weapons! Was there spawning stuff on the last day to take a break from all my own grinds lol

The best way to farm gil in eureka is actually farming Moist lockboxes from mutated enemies and obscures from the enemy that you kill to spawn PW. There's a way to get it done so you get 1 - 8 obscures per pull and like 400 moist boxes in like a 30 minute mutated enemy farm.
Truly one of the hardest of the hardcore achievements in this game. CONGRATS!
The 100 million amuses me because I've probably spent that much on registrable stuff like Orchestrion Rolls and mounts. I rarely have more than a couple million, but it's absolutely correct that you can make a lot of money just playing the game normally.
Petition to make Cider complete every ARR relic weapons
The funniest part of Eureka is because of stat squish Maiming, and after a recent patch changed some stats, and Striking sets can have much higher defense than tanks have using Platebarer. So you can legit solo prep anything as a DPS if you have elemental gear and use that.
After seeing the Eureka Relics, it does make me want to start getting some for Glams
I forgot how many of the NMs in the Eureka Series were from FFXI. Ovni was from Abyssea La Theine Plateau and Provenance Watcher was from provenance as the final boss of Voidwatch which was a great Endgame activity. Grats on the new Relics/Achievements

I really wish Baldesion Arsenal dropped crystals. I was heavily involved in the European BA community for a while and have more than enough fragments to max out every weapon, but I would still need like 2000 crystals..

I really dig the simplicity of the Withe Mage rod, is very druidic, and the glowstick version is a tad too much
& yeah that shield is pretty nifty
i feel the pain. grinded all relics back to back... then continued to get all the gear and upgrade the elemental stats... most fun ive had raiding. 😂 eureka community is amazing

I personally use and enjoy both Mollfrith (MCH) and the Pyros Tuck (RDM). For MCH, I dislike how bulky a lot of the weapons are, so the slim and sleek Mollfrith is perfect. The glow kind of ruins it (unfortunately the case for a lot of Eureka weapons) so I use the base, non-glowing version. For the Pyros Tuck, I think the white flames are really cool. Unfortunately it's another one whose final stage is ruined by the glow, but I think it's one of the few Pyros weapons where the glow doesn't look hideous.

The WHM staff, the Rose Couverte, is still my WHM glam to this day. And not the glowy one! The golden staff with the dyeable crystal is perfect without the piss glow!

Pyros special lockbox farms. There's where the big money is, although you have to farm within specific timeframes since it's weather dependent.
im 35 crystals away from the 2nd to last step from my Eureka weapon for DRG. Cant wait. One tip if you are alone and want to grind a little faster, use Wisdom of the Platebearer, it makes you super tanky even as a DPS and can really help solo grinds. Pagos is by far the worst. Just navigating it takes time and can be annoying. Pyros is probably my favorite.

I loved your turn in to Gerolt Relic comments lol As much as I love Eureka I could not grind for a month or more, hell no, I commend you for that cause holy. I am in the last stages on mine as well with Tank/Healer Jobs done, all im missing are the DPS ones . Taking it slowly but i understand now why you got burn out
i'm going for the mch relic atm (still need to finish pyros) but *might* come back at a later time for the ast one. it's just another globe but i personally find the ast globes quite pretty lol

To answer question at the end, it's the Samurai sword. I made it for my LP guy, and it goes with tons of glams really well.
The non-glowy RDM weapon is my favourite - I specifically set out to get that solely for glam reasons.
Currently been working on grinding out titles in bozja,mainly the ones not locked behind duels yet.

I did Eureka at first solely for the purpose of getting the elemental armor, but since you need relic progress to get there, I got the ninja one. Its not the best weapon of the lot, I agree with DRK and SAM being the clar winners here, but I have grown attached to my glowy knifes and the glam I made around them.
*claps* Well done! You can join the ultra rare 0.1% who have completed this insane task. Let's hope the Dawntrail relic quests try to live up to the hype. ;)
2:20 oh my sweet summer child. You finished Eureka without ever knowing SAM is the most OP job. You can solo prep any NM, yes including Ceto and PW, doing the whole pack and super fast too, while also being the bulkiest job. But oh well, not like you need to know that now lol

@@coaster1235 damage output, and sustainability. As for the bulkiest, simply PB (platebearer) makes it more bulky than any tank even if those are using guardian logos. Tanks can be more bulky if using indom, but you need to prep indom for about 20 mins to get a 16 mins buff which you need to keep refreshing. But still the tank won't have the damage output. In the time a tank can solo one pull, SAM can do 3 pulls. For sustainability, you can use PB together with bloodbath (BB) and that's enough to solo pretty much everything except PW solo prep. But you can take SAM even higher by combining PB with double edge (DE), while using a protect logos (and a shell depending on the prep) and a REM (remembered). With that setup you are both the bulkiest and highest damage dealer at the same time. You kill stuff so fast you can simply use the job's own BB ability. With that build you can even solo prep PW, and in the time it takes a tank to do one pull you do 5 or 6. But for most stuff you fine just with PB + BB logos, both logos super easy and cheap to get. Since SAM already does so much damage it takes the more value out of BB.
18:42 Yeah, there's a lot of fugly ones. Shout outs to the High Durium Shield, though. It's got little roses on the boss and is quite nice.
I think they all look great up to the Pyros step. It's basically the Anemos glow but on fire and with extra effects (the summoner and scholar wings actually flap).
I think the final Red Mage one looks decent?
the Yukinko Snowflake minion used to be worth around 1M before the GC lockboxes which was pretty nice considering how ridiculously rare it is
Pretty sure it was a reward from moogle tome event which have had many eureka items which then tanked greatly in value.
The Katana is the one reason I slogged through Eureka when I was new. Still use it to this day.

My fav. Relic is definitely the rdm one, followed by the last stage of the pld relic.
Genuinely I really like the Bard bow from Eureka, that's the one relic I picked to do from there so far xD I like that it looks like some super weird insect leg bow
I just really did not enjoy Hydatos at all.. and I only did the RDM weapon. As annoying as getting around the previous zones was it was at least interesting. Hydatos is just flat and boring to spend time in. I can't imagine spending more time there than I did so kudos for hanging on for the whole ride.
As for the best looking weapon, It truly was RDM all the way through. The Brunelo isn't my favourite of the steps but it's still pretty nice (the focus in particular is actually one of my overall favourites in the game), and I frequently use every other Eureka relic step depending on the glam I'm wearing.

I agree with you about keeping the original relics. Please let them go in our armoire SE, they were a lot of work…. except the EW ones anyway.
A recommendation for easily farm Doma, as im at around 2 weeks to finish it, and i begun around 2 months ago, gear from Allience Raids can cover it easily. In fact, im on Free Trail and with just what i get from that(Mainly, the ARR dungeons), i usually cover one week and a bit of the next for doman donations, and the rest that i do, it's profit for when Dawntrail is added to the complete edition and i buy it.
You can also donate diadem materials to Doma at double the price of a vendor ( 7 -> 14gil). They can be sold on the MB, but they go so slow that you only want to hang on to the grade 4 artisinal ones (after crafting the 100 expert recipes for all 8 crafters at grades 2, 3 and 4)
Could give the non-artisinal grade 4's to some random guy leveling in Foundation, that's what I do most of the time. Saves me inventory space and them gil to buy it from me :P

No progress to report. Been slowly working on ARR relics and otherwise taking it easy, the past week. No incidental achievements or anything. Still sitting at 16,525 Lalachievements score.

Meanwhile I started the eureka grind very casually with a friend like half a year ago - anemos is finished, the rest at about 50% each 😅
By coincidence I've also been farming hydatos so I was hoping to see myself in the video but I didn't spot myself. Maybe because I was playing Dragoon....
The Hydatos minion prices probably haven't recovered from the previous Mogtome event cratering them tbh, it was a reward then and I saw a lot of people relieved that they wouldn't have to spend all their money/months of their life to get one back then.

Anemos Red Mage is my steadfast go to. One of the few not so rapier swords, as I too enjoy non-conventional looks.
Man, I got three Yukinko snowflakes while doing the DRG Hydatos relic back in ShB when they were worth decent money.

My favorite relic final look would prob be the machinist gun, I do like the look of the base weapon, even despite the glow.

Don't worry, once you get a few more ranks in your Island Sanctuary, you can start earning a currency from there that can be exchanged for MORE LOCKBOXES!

I'm always a red mage weapon fan, but that is a pretty shield!
honestly, most early monk relics i dislike but kind of dug those. theyre clearly based off the katar which is a fun weapon
can hardly begin to imagine the absolute numbness of grinding for 3700 crystals. Got 3 weapons up to the second to last stage and have 4 more that i want to get at some point
I farmed up Dark Knight swords on every other relic, but went Samurai first from Eureka. Easily one of the best.
