- Before an inspired and uplifted audience at the annual Bonei Olam Dinner, Yanky and Shulem Lemmer teamed with Shira to pay homage to the upcoming yom tov Shavuos with “Lo Sachmod”, a classic song derived from the Aseres HaDibros (10 Commandments).
The song was composed by legendary Jewish cantor and songwriter Yossele Rosenblatt A"H, and was reworked specifically for this performance in stunning acapella/vocal form.

Sensational singing of the finest quality. I particularly appreciate the way they are technically superb without being ostentatious virtuosi, and are expressively emotional without being theatrical or “schmalzy”. Shulem really is sumthin’ else: he communicates his faith, in fact positively radiates Judaism, yet is a straightforward, approachable, normal ‘mensch” next door. It’s as if faith, life and music are seamlessly interwoven in his personality - which is as it ideally should be.
Maestro Rosenblatt must be smiling down on the Lemmer brothers. Their rendition honours him greatly.

Rosenblatt would be so excited to hear this rare, beautiful and emotionally intense, fluent, exciting rendering with such perfection of tone across the wide range required. Crystal clear diction and lovely coloratura + lachrymose notes too. Hearty yasher koach to Yanky, Shulem and the Shira choir !

Here is a Gerer Chosid who loves good חזנות and is really נתפעל at the beautiful voices, clarity, colorature and rendering of the Lemmer bros. מעומקה דליבא I say יישר כוחכם and thank השם for the great gift he has bestowed. If only I would have had my voice trained 50 or so years ago.
