Hi mate, dont have a GT750 myself ( got a 78 Z1000A2) but have been watching your idiots guide to restoring a GT750 with great intrest and im sure you have helped many owners with their own restorations well done and your bike looks outstanding.
Hi Pete. Thanks for you good guidance videos, and on fb. I am about to fit accent to my gt750 -76. I wondering how to open the 14mm nut to replace the rotor? The engine is not dismantled as the one on video. Any tips would be appreciated.

Thank you so much for showing how to restore a GT750. It have made it possible for me to do the job my self. Have you made a video where you are adujusting the ignition? I just bought the same electronic igniton for my bike.
I have the same ignition and it works great. only issue the orange bullet connector for power is a little small. Check how tight it is. How do I know? I had a nice walk with it because of a crappy connection.
Peter, You mention at the end of this video about installing the oil pipes, oil pump, water pipes etc. However, the next video #11 skips over this. Is there another video explaining how to install the starter, oil pump etc? Thx
Hi, Peter...I just got the electronic ignition in the mail and I was wondering if I can put the 14 mm nut back on with a regular spanner because I don't have an air pressure one. Can I prevent the shaft from turning as I tighten it?
@@suzukigt750idiot Quick update: I installed the ignition today. Had to cut out the slots a bit like you said. Starts on the button even without choke. Was a bit of a hassle to get the cable nicely tucked away but in the end it turned out ok. Tightening the 14mm nut even with the bike in gear wasn't that obvious...it still turned. Thanks again for your excellent videos!!
Peter could you maybe explain, or do a very brief vid of how the unit takes its power from the flasher unit and how the wires piggy back the orange cable. Many thanks. Simon.
Very nicely explained. What about WHEN to set the timing? As in how many degrees before top dead centre or whatever. Using my dial gauge. Surely there’s more to it than getting a red light to come on? As an idiot myself I need all the help I can get.
Hi, can you give a link to the Accent website please, I looked last night and couldn't find it, you said you got it from Germany? This is for a mate actually, he's just bought a rather nice GT750, cheers!
@@suzukigt750idiot Thanks, Peter. I have to keep at Uwe, then. I know he is busy and does excellent work. But solo importing anything privately into the Bluff can sometimes be a chore. I have now mostly set up my workshop to begin the restoration. Your videos are indispensable. Thanks again!
@@suzukigt750idiot Hi! maybe I am stupid! but I cant seem to find the website for accent or in fact any place where I could by this ignition system! Important information I am in Canada. Thanks

Dave all you need to do is close the female conector with a pair of pliers so it's a tight fit

Sorry I thought they didn't need covering on a video, they are all pretty easy things to fit
@@suzukigt750idiot no worries, I figured it out. Just following your advice, sequence and videos makes it so much easier! 👍

Yes just put the bike in gear that will give enough resistance to be able to tighten the nut adequately 👍
Thanks Peter

There will be a new video on fitting the Accent Electronic unit which will show the orange wire connections uploaded soon !

No it really is that simple !
I have checked the timing with a strobe after I've set it with the red light and it's perfect every time
@@suzukigt750idiot Again, thanks for replying.
Can you tell me where you purchased this system from? Details are a bit sketchy.
Thanks.
