The devs for these editions of the classic games are possibly some of the worst in the industry. In all my years of living, I have never seen a ‘professional’ game studio’s idea turn out as bad as this. Ouch.
Oh man, these "Definitive Editions" look so fucking bad. Like, they could fix all the glitches, all the spelling errors, I still think they'd look horrible. I'm sorry, but I really can't understand how that first trailer generated that much hype. I know it goes without saying at this point but I've seen mods that do such a better job at remastering these games.
The game really does unironically look that bad, the upscaling isn't the cause of the artifacts, it might add some every once in a while but the original VoD looks incredibly bad. Cheap, easy and less artificial way of making boundaries. Also GTA 3 and Vice City crash when you go a little too far from playable area.
