More videos like this please!!! Just for music creation TH-cam channels in general. TH-cam is flooded with “finished product/cut to the chase” type music creation videos that showcase ONLY the creative and fun side of music creation, but never the monotonous, lack of inspiration having, painstakingly technical, and sometimes even downright frustrating side of music creation. I perfectly understand why TH-camrs and companies looking to sell you a product give you the clean, easy, and energetic side of things, but, for the most part, it can be inaccurate and misleading. Especially for guys like myself who’re just starting out in music production, it’s even a little intimidating. It can make you feel rather inferior because you’re not able to create some insane beat in “less than 15 minutes”, when these music production videos make it look so easy, simple, and unencumbered of a process. Honestly, it can lead one to question their own abilities after while🤔lol...So a big thank you for making this honest uncut video. Subscribed!!!

Please do more videos like this, but also with the second part of the production: going to arrangement view and placing everything into the finished song(uncut video would be great :D )
Thanks for making these videos! They are super helpful for me as I'm just starting my real experience with production, so thanks again!

This was a great video. For a beginner like myself, it’s helpful to see an experienced producer go through the process. I tend to get overwhelmed with all the preset options and then frustrated when sounds don’t come together quickly. This helped me to remember that it is a matter of experimenting with sound combinations, and that it’s OK to throw something out if it’s not working.

  • @blt1690

This is exactly what I've been looking for! I'd love to see a video where you go further into it, do the arrangements. Some thought into arrangement theory would be nice too. IE: What is a prequel, hook, etc.? I can make guesses but having good guidelines to use would be very helpful and you'd be surprised how many instructors omit things like that!

love the honesty with it all. its all a journey and we love it from start to finish. getting to the actual FINISH tho is almost a myth bc in the beginning if something gets lost is the translation and you lose the spark, it just becomes another unfinished project. #dontoverthink #fliko

I truly enjoy watching the uncut versions of your beat making process. I’m just starting to learn this stuff and seeing the process done by someone who already knows how to do this ; makes me feel more comfortable and confident. I’m actually reading the Audio Mixing book (by Roey Izhaki) you recommended on another video of yours. Thank you for sharing your gift. Your videos (a long with a few good people in my life)
inspire me to follow my dreams.

Thank you for making such a truthful video. This is the kind of instructional videos that other instructors need to model upon. You did not miss a step in your explanations; let alone admitting that it is a time-consuming process. Other instructors would have suave away with their 3 seconds on-screen instructions and left all students behind biting the dust.

Great video. I'm completely new to music production (and have no real music background just enjoy it). I like this kind of video as it shows what goes into the process more. I don't understand some of what's being done as I'm still finding my way around things but that's part of the fun. I'm just starting out and getting setup with Ableton, launchpad and an old keystep although I'm thinking I maybe need to get something newer than that.

I see that RG350 sitting on the side. But for real, these help me a lot. I'm a 15 year percussionist self taught, and a 17 year rhythm guitarist self taught and I am beginning to get into making various genres of music and Daws and such and these just really help me get in the right mind set and start playing around with things and layering them.
    I love these style videos.

Love the video thanks dude!!! For beginners like myself, I think it would be immensely valuable to see side-by-sides of what you're doing in Ableton WHILE making the beat (like adjusting timing for tracks, keeping everything in time, starting/stopping, etc). Using the midi is the easy part....but bringing it all together in ableton can be clunky for me. Food for thought!
