PLEASE put the block inlays BACK on the Meteora's fretboard. You did that with the PU version and it looked so classy. As much as I have loved all the followups, I have been wishing upon wishing the next Meteora released would have the proper fretboard. Yes the PU was a hybrid of the Jazzmaster and Tele....but you really did nail the aesthetics with the block inlays and the newer one just look like something is missing. I have had people literally say "I liked that Ultra Meteora and passed on it. If it had the block inlays, it would have been gone in a heartbeat."
Hey Fender heres probably a huge profitable idea: You and Squier both make a Meteora with the same HT-H configuration as the Sonic Strats starting from like Squier Affinity range all the way up to Fender custom shop. Make it an option to have HT-P90 configuration, or have the same pickup options for Floyd Rose and tremelos starting from Squier’s Contemporary tier. No pickguard so it more or less looks like a Strat-o-Sonic or make a removable pickguard an option! I would buy 2 Meteoras in the Squier Contemporary without pickguard but I would swap the active pickup out for a Seymour Duncan Invader as more or less a Tom Dellonge Strat influenced build. I give you: THE METEORA FOR ANY PLAYER. Hope you remember this comment if this comes to fruition and it is as profitable as it sounds Forgot one thing: rotary switch like the Squier Paranormal Esquire Deluxe has also has to be an option. My first serious guitar in a decade is a 2024 Paranormal Esquire and I have 100% switched from being a Les Paul Junior guy. I love one humbucker in the bridge position guitars as a rhythm player
I have a Player Plus series Meteora, and it is very comfortable to play. The shape looks cool in my opinion, but when sitting down, compared - for example to a Jazzmaster - it really moves the guitar (sitting on your right thigh) more to the right, bringing the neck a bit closer to the player, which is a clever thing in my opinion. The Ultra II version looks very nice as well, with the stoptail and the compound radius and the contoured heel, should make it even more comfortable to play. If I understand what I am reading and hearing so far, I think the new Haymaker pickups are definitely hotter and have more output compared to the Fireball pickups in the Player Plus series. I use more clean tones and some slight crunch, so the Fireball pickups might be better suited to what I am using the guitar for. I also love the look of the exposed coils (no pickup covers), especially the Avalanche color version, a very classy look. It is so difficult to compete with the well-know classic guitar shapes, but I think the Meteora design has the potential to eventually become sort of a classic, at least I hope. I enjoyed watching the video.
Just looking at this thing and hearing all the reviews, I could almost guarantee you that this would be in my top 3 favorite guitars. Unfortunately I'm left handed. So I don't have an option to buy one, let alone comfortably try one out.
I’m waiting for copycat brands to make passive Meteora basses. Fender has no interest to compete with itself in this category, but this is what people want
The Meteora shape is so comfortable to play!
This Ultra II Meteora has been the best guitar I've played. Setup B Standard = heaviness for days. Love it.
Love to hear it!
Is the volume knob placement awkward? I'm really interested but have read multiple reviewers complaining about the knob placement and getting cut up
Man it’s my dream to get that Red Meteora HH. Love it.
The orange Telecaster Meteora is the most beautiful guitar ever made, pls bring it back!
Very interesting history, thanks for sharing🎉
I ordered the Fender Player Plus just yesterday, oh yeah!
Bring back the Telecaster’s Grandson version of the Meteora!!!
This exact guitar with a strat trem would be so cool.
Floyd rose.

I own the 2018 tele meteora and it’s great.

Cool! I think the magic of Fender guitars is that you have to fight with them a bit.
Love Cold Stares!
🇮🇪 wonderful sharing very good video
*TEXAS TEA!!!* 🤎
Meteora‘s a super cool!
Agreed

What Fuzz is that!!! So bad ass
Nice body, but honestly it needs a different head shape, something that matches the body better, something more futuristic.
Guys, please make a left handed version

Unfortunately I'm left handed. So I don't have an option to buy one, let alone comfortably try one out.
I'd love to see a fan fret Meteora with a Wilkinson trem.
Give us a Marauder
0:29 That is always going to be at least just for me, the unofficial Jim Root artist model.
Squier version? 😉
There's the fender player version which can be purchased for not too much more than a typical squier .
@@drewnorth3816 Squier Classic Vibe = $430 to $450. Fender Player Plus = $850-1050.
The Meteora is cool but I prefer the more classic lines of the Toronado among the new offset offerings.
should have been shortscale ;-) btw. wrong at 3:14 ;-) GRETSCH guitars are the coolest guitars ;-)
I played this guitar in a shop a few weeks ago. I think it feels really good. Sounds weird to say, but it felt soft.
How many guitars a year does Fender produce?? Curious ballpark? 1000? 5000? 10000?
For the love of God please make a lefty version.
I only got that Squier meteora money tho
new shape? don't you know the univox uc3
Cool new guitars, with crusty Old school advertising...
Can you please, please make a P90 guitar that is not the Jazz-master! A Strat or Tele with P90s would be awesome!!
@@mattd2222 noventa series. I have the red strat one.
day 6 of commenting on every fender video until i get a fender jazzmaster
MEAN!
Still no lefty 😢
lol nick... hmm yeah i mean it's ok but it will probably just go the way of the fender katana or something like that.

"So Josh happened to be walking by Tosin Abasi's booth at NAMM and decided to steal his idea for a new shaped tele body..." and voila Fender gets rich
