I have owned quite a number of bikes in my riding years. I have a few favorites, Triumph 500cc was fun, the fastest I had was a Kawasaki H2 750 triple cylinder and I had a Honda Pacific Coast that I put a ton of miles on the od. I now have a FXDX and the first thing I noticed was handling. This bike feels positive in the turns, it is there! It feels good to ride. Performance, it is fast! Better have a grip when I twist the throttle. It is my first Harley, and I Love it!
The best motorcycle made, is the one that you enjoy. The second best is the one that you can afford. Just ride with the one that brung ya and be grateful you have the health to do it. At least for now, because eventually you are gonna break down too.
Doug Fox Harley Davidson Motorcycles not only are iconic, represent a tradition of the machine itself, but can be either the classic Harley sound or silent.Other machines are ok, vespa is fine, but none offer the classic machine wrapped in historic excitement.Modern reliability is universal to most upscale motorcycles today. It's like anything else,if one wants a pony car you buy a 500hp mustang not a honda. If one wants a muscle car, you buy a Chrysler 700 hp Hellcat not a Lexus.
I'm an old guy and I've owned Honda's in the past and liked them! But I ride my Dyna down country roads averaging about 16,000 miles a year! It's comfortable, I don't have a need to outrun anyone, I just enjoy the ride! It's my closet away from the world! I don't really care what anyone rides, I hope everybody just learns to enjoy the ride, whatever they ride! I don't like the biker image at all, it's childish! Never been an outlaw and don't want to look like or be one! This video is kind of an info/commercial though!
Any body else find it strange and a little upsetting that a documentary about the most prolific and iconic AMERICAN motorcycle company ever... is filmed in Europe and all the bikes are carrying euro license plates?
How's that Iron going? I just picked up a 2019 Iron 883 was wondering if you are still a fan after 2 years. I'll certainly still be in love for awhile yet. Happy riding.
Good video but I wonder why an American made product as Harley-Davidson is and it being all about USA.....why is this filmed in the UK? Oh and by the way the Ultra Classic does NOT come standard with ABS. But I do like the video..
Spoiler alert...this is a Harley promotional film that has very little about history and a lot of lame details about selling points of models of the past 10 years or so...and it's filmed in England.
He mentions the heritage is more expensive than the road King. Very strange as the road King in its most basic form is a few hundred more and when adding abs and security a few thousand. Puzzling.
counter balancers were in the 88's. not very good info in this video. the 96 was also a doggy setup. the forks in the transmission were heavier resulting in sluggish performance. many new owners wanted their 88s back
I have rode all kind off motorbikes since 30 years! Two years ago i have sat my ass on one off those machinery's... My babys! i have two. If you are not a mechanic adics do not aproche. It's fucken expensive to maintain. Their is no price for happiness.
Nice review but the performance stats are way off. All of these bikes can go at least 120 mph. Maybe they got confused about how to convert miles per hour with whatever their using over in Europe where this review took place.
But how does any bike manufacturer justify the price?, there is 4/5ths of 5/8ths of bugger all in a motor cycle compared with a car. and don't give us any bullshit about "Oh you are paying for all that technological development", it's all frogshit, but HEH if you can get away with it, why not. HD must be laughing all the way to the bank.
Cheesy peesy japaneesy. Harley Davidson motor company stopped making "Harleys" in 1999. They are still manufacturing motorcycles, but they aren't "Harleys." I think that Harley Davidson motor company should partner with S&S to produce "classic" Harleys. Each year HD could offer say 10,000 "Panheads" with S&S PH93s. The next year offer 10,000 Shovelheads and so on. I guarantee that those 10,000 would sell before even one twinkie was purchased.

Harley-Davidson and a ride in the south Western USA is perfect. Harley is the Iconic Motorcycle.
I think it's really good.

And driving slow as shit
I'm still trying to figure out if this is a documentary or a commercial...
A commercial that is. Make your choise. Or style.
I like my 2016 Iron 883. First Harley I've ever owned, and I am glad I got it! This video sounded like a commercial, but so what?

Im a Harley Guy but the comment about relating easy rider to a Heritage Softail Classic was just wrong. Shoulda been the Dyna Wide Glide
I agree, the narrator of this infomercial is clearly a dork. BTW I have a Heritage as well as a Wide Glide. Both GREAT bikes!
Road King most definitely the best
2nd best! FLSTSB is the best!
very , very good !!!
did I look at the video ? or did I miss the road king piece

My last names Harley and my nickname is Harley Davidson XD

a lot of things is going to change......now that Indian is here and will be here for good.

Love my shovel, she is cranky and fast!
I'll take the road King over any other Harley and I've owned 15 motorcycles.
As a Harley owner I can tell you this, this is nothing more then and hour long cheesy infomercial. Save yourselves and run for it now!
+wildwill1970 Nothing better than watching a Harley riding video on a rainy or wintery day.......
They are kool.
I can't believe how many jealous turds are responding negatively to this video. Until you've been on a Harley, you haven't been on a motorcycle.
That's fucking stupid.
Harley Davidson. The Great American freedom machine. Nothing compares.
Agreed, nothing competes as far as cruisers go. That said, there are a ton of other great bikes out there.
Roadghost88 I agree
Roadghost88 Aha,We are supplier for harley parts,if you need,pls contact with us.Such as foot control,brake disc... Sally@tarazon.cn

Harley is shit in Milwaukee, everytime a contract is settled here they lay off workers and move a little more jobs to Philly!

Harley Davidson the only motorbike in the world
If it really was the 'only motorcycle in the world'
I'd rather walk.
I'd rather ride an Indian or a Honda.
why
because I like them better.
Boring................!
Comercial i agry!
