Wow what a nice device to stop boat from rocking due to the wave or the current when drifting or being anchored during fishing trip. It would really help for a person like me who easily get seasick or motion sickness.
Thanks Al for the great video. Wouldve like them to keep trying to rock the boat for a bit longer after they turned the Seakeeper on. Amazing invention nonetheless !!!
they have to know it exists and then get it put in. seakeeper is right now being put in as standard by a number of boat makers and 30% of their market right now is retrofits.
So Well done that's not easy approaching someone (especially with a camera) and asking to talk about … well anything really. I do have a couple questions 1) if the Seakeeper runs while the boat is running does it enhance performance (gas mileage, speed etc.) ? 2) what does it run off of (generator, batteries , its on propulsion) ? Thanks David !
Looks like will only work on monohulls, since it would put too much stress force on a multihull vassel, plus, I am guessing price wise, it may be way too much to be worth it!
Yea but it doesn’t stop the rocking from bow to trim, you’ll probably still get sea sick in 1 feet wake. Counter forcing against the wave will probably flip the boat in 4 to 5 ft wake.
I will have to investigate further, but I find it hard to believe the gyro doesn't affect turning. The boat has to lean for a turn at significant speed. Wouldn't the gyro fight against the boat turning. Whenever I ride a passenger on my motorcycle, I have to tell her to lean with me. I've had women try to stay upright on a turn and the bike becomes very hard to turn with them fighting the lean of the bike.
carver222 at 6000 hours on the bearings if you were out on the boat for 14 hours a day that still gives you 430 days. If you’re not out every day it’s definitely worth it
Commentor1 sorry. I didn’t realize you knew that much about George or that you are his representative. I just assumed that since he is a salesman for sea keeper that he wasn’t there to do that job for free. Peace out!!!
The only real test is in rolling seas. This video, or others with a boat wake are not real world scenarios. I am not knocking the product, just the testing (marketing) methodology.
Wondering if somebody can contact me I'm very interested in getting one for my 75 foot boat I've been looking at a few different types and I could not believe how fast your 36-foot boat stopped if you can please contact me and get me a price for one that would be very very awesome

Pretty amazing bit of kit.
Wow I'm definitely going to need one of these
Cameraman knows dam well he’ll never own one.
Cool ...I always wondered how those seakeepers worked....👍🏼

That’s awesome, I’m surprised every charter captain doesn’t snatch one up, it’s probably a tax write off for them.
yip section 179. 100%

it runs off the generators while the boat is running otherwise it is batteries.
It definitely stabilized the boat but it looks so big
great invention
To much money I just use the trim tabs on my 32 footer. But it works nice 👍 One thing you missed how much does it cost?
Oraven 1 the one problem with that is trim tabs don’t work when the boat isn’t moving
Oraven 1
Probably cost more then a boat itself
@@Hilary-ys1gk the seakeeper 2 i have seen for around 27k online.
pm
That’s crazy....
@@Hilary-ys1gk spoken like someone who has no value of what things cost to make
holyshit that was quick
Merci oviedo 👍👍
this would be great for my wife and my daughters, but the only sea sick I get is being sick from not being on the sea. Say that three times fast!
How much power does seakeeper2 use up?
Can we put 3 of this in one boat
Yes
Man you should of been playing " Don't Rock the Boat Baby" ! and that 2nd guy came out of no where "enter #2 rocking specialist" lol ok that's dumb.
Amazing....
I wish I could get one on a 22’

wrong. they can add fins to do with that. the boats do not flip in those wakes with the gyro on.

lots of people say it doesn't affect turning at all.
6000 to 7000 hours on bearings, that is only 300 days, wonder what the refit is like for the bearings?

seakeeper dude has the personality of a gyroscope////
Very friendly salesman 😒
You have to learn to mic your guests so they can be heard !
Gorge seamed almost like he had better things to do
Lol
HE seems like a good guy though..
HE is DOING his job greatly!
Commentor1 if I was selling a proxy that cost a min of 25k I would be happy to show it

Commentor1 well maybe you can give him a hand job!
Nope. It just sounded like you where trying to say I only had half a brain. Thank you for this conversation. I’m done. Have a nice day

plenty of vids and tests in rolling seas. it works in those with often passengers having no ideas how bad the seas are.
Can u put it on a yak?.. lol
