Also, I want to apologize for the horrible lag in some of these clips. For some reason, my computer decided that most of my mods require Administrator approval to run, and the ones that do get a crippling 8-12 FPS when recording, while the ones that don’t need it run smooth. I’m currently trying to find a solution to this, hopefully it won’t affect future videos.

A little late to this party, but I'm glad to see the Top 5s finally enter mod territory. I wonder, would any Top 5 list including both the Extended Canon mods and the official games be a good idea? Or would you see it as an unfair comparison?

Haha I don't see why Top 5s can't mix both, but it would have to be something other than weapons, the EC smokes the official canon in that department. I'll be brainstorming some worthwhile lists, and if you think of any, feel free to let me know!

My personal favorite guns from the extended universe lie in Carnivores Triassic, specifically the Wardens assault rifle and the RSP-10.
Hopefully it'll get more traction. xD

I love carnivores for many reasons but one of the coolest things about carnivores is that anyone can create a mod and it can. be considered canon, not very many games can do that

My nickname is "Cannon" after me and my friend were playing Middle Islands after I was hunting a Terror bird and Gigantosaurus and i killed them all and *whew* OH BOY was that hard
Cool video you made there,Saurian.My favorite weapon is the grenade launcher from the abandoned islands and the Spaz 15 rifle and golden lever rifle from the triassic sector ,I mean those things looks,so cool and powerful that they should really be added to vanilla carnivores dinosaur hunter.Fantastic video as always!How about do carnivores migration or mandibles in the next video as that sea scorpion and manipulator mantis that Poharex made and showed in the Carnivores Triassic during the latest release in the previous video look wicked thanks as always,man!

The way you've been organizing these top 5's have been great and a fun way to look at it, it's well organized aswell. also...im not sure what Dinohunt corp. was thinking, giving hunters a missle launcher like that....gee, better go talk to their head director about this one XD but in all seriousness. great job and if I might make a suggestion, would a "top 5 bosses in extended canon Mods" be a good idea? just spit balling here lol.

Pretty great showcase here, once again I like the fairness in terms of showing off the variety of weapon types these games have to offer. How is it you are able to make the dinos hyper aggressive like in that clip with the scoped rocket launcher?
Well, that particular map I was hunting on actually consists of three small islands, and the dinosaurs just naturally tend to cluster very close together, so when I began firing they were all close enough to respond aggressively. That's why it's one of my favorite maps to hunt on. xD
Ah, well I'm surprised even the small dinosaurs ran towards you from far away. Still quite impressive.

After a quick Google search I found the spas 15 and I'd love to own one if only for plinking and boar hunting. It's really cool and the in-game version is alot like the real thing
I would like a mini showcase on mandibles eventually because it's apparently "a sequel off of the Triassic tour" (quoted off of DB mods)

ps:they need to add weapons like p90 or asault rifles to the game because some of the dinos smoked weed and dont die
This is an old video, but the link in description does not work, and several mod DB mods appear to be removed. Even if they were all there I would probably not know how to install them. That is unless I just drag and drop, even I could do that.
When will you showcase the Carnivores Extended Canon Mod?????? Those weapons in that mod are amazing, even though some are old models.

My personal favorite weapon is the 454 revolver from triassic. I still hunt megalosaurus with it.

From what I just saw, I guess I could say that the faster-firing X-Bow, and the fan-made remake of the X-Rifle, are my personal favorites. With the fan-made version of the classic Cityscape X-Rifle, I'd no longer have to deal with the only real issue I've had with it: the splash damage. Like, directs hits seem to do the damage you'd expect, but even splash damage from those blue bolts seems to very small. Also, there's the annoying damage the player could receive, from being a little bit too close to the blast radius.
That's true! The X-Rifle's splash damage has been all but neutralized in The Middle Islands, so it's much better for close combat situations. Once I was firing at an approaching Giganotosaurus and heard footsteps right behind me, swiveled, and downed a Suchomimus with it at point blank range. With the zoom, it's just an all around great weapon.
Yeah, it does sound a big improvement over Cityscape's original X-Rifle. However, the Cityscape iteration has those coll, in-game effects. Like, the sound of the weapon being fired, the pulsing blue-color that resonates on the barrel, and it leaves a nice scorch mark on any surface. I guess we could say that both iterations of the X-Rifle are good in their own ways, but the fan-made iteration of it doesn't require the player to be cautious of how close you are to s wall, or a dinosaur. I could totally see myself using this newer version of the X-Rifle.

Say we forget balance but that Dragonborn weapon from Skyrim is the best specialty weapon I think. It can one shot anything with basically no reload and fast rate of fire. But I'm guessing you thought it was too overpowered and was mainly there as a little joke. I agree with you. If that's not why you didn't say it, gladly tell me.

I have a personal question for you. What is your most favorite weapon in the Carnivores series? From the official games to mods basically anything that has Carnivores in its title. Which weapon did you think was the best and your most favorite Dino killer?
Hmm... My favorite weapon... I dunno, I really like to carry a full arsenal and switch depending on the situation. My favorites are probably the SPAS 15 from Carnivores Triassic and the starting rifle from Carnivores: The Middle Islands, I find those weapons pretty underrated and SUPER useful in most situations.
Saurian Target Yeah I always had liked the SPAS 12. It's fast rate of fire, accuracy and it's power of a shotgun.
Hey Saurian, I see you've mentioned Extended Canon, but I cannot find any information about this mod anywhere. Do you happen to know where I can find some information about it?
To be honest, I'm not even sure if there is a download for it anymore. I'll cover it soon enough in a showcase, but it's really not even that great of a mod, truth be told.

If there were ever the chance, it would be great to have an M16A4 in Carnivores.
A burst fire rifle with 30 rounds. That rifle could possibly outdo many other rifles. However, it seems perhaps impossible to make a gun only shoot 3 rounds at a time in the Carnivores engine so the likely chances of an M16A4 showing up would be nill. Perhaps the M16A3 (Auto variant) or the AK47 can make an appearance since Carnivores allows fully automatic shooting.
Perhaps once Dinosaur Hunter comes out on Steam with mod support a burst rifle will be possible!
Roaming Dino It actually is possible with vanilla. You can set a weapon to reload after firing 3 rounds. The Remington SP-10 in Triassic is exactly this.

Saurian what settings do you use in game to make all the dinosaurs around you more aggresive?
I don't think there are any options that alter their behavior to be more aggressive. If you're referring to the Scoped Missile Launcher clip where they all attacked me, it's jus because the islands are so small that all of the dinosaurs cluster together, so when I fired, they were all close enough to attack me.
I went throught the video and saw some clips that had alot of dinos running at you from seemingly nowhere

The settings I was refering to in my original comment were about the ''GAME'' settings in the option menu with ''sensitivity'', ''aggresivity'', ''transparency'' etc.

I just got carnivores cityscape. my laptop usually handles carnivores 2 with about 100 fps on high settings. but when I try to play cityscape it literally runs at 0 fps when I load up a mission.. any advice?
That's so weird. I can run Cityscape at about 100 fps on mine but Carnivores 2 gets 30 fps at most. xD
Did you try working around in the Options/Settings menu? Try lowering the graphics/resolution?
Saurian Target I lowered it to the lowest settings possible and doesn't fix it. I opened the console and it says that there was an error or something with the polygons and it couldn't load them idk I turned off my pc.
Did you download it online or did you get the actual CD?

It's an old mod that kind of dumped a lot of different aspects into one big mod. It's messy, but was fun back in the day.

I haven't, but it looks really cool.
In the game the animals can interact with each other and fight to the death for food and it would be cool if in a carnivores reboot the animals interacted like that
