Try another way - Launch BIOS Utility and go to Exit Menu and then select Load Setup Defaults and save (F10) and exit BIOS and follow onscreen instructions, if any
I did everything in the video, and the ‘Boot Device Not Found’ screen came up again, so I tried this suggestion of Load Setup Defaults in BIOS Menu, but it’s just going back to the initial ‘Boot Device Not Found’ screen. Is there anything more I can try??
I had to add 6000 for my code and it came up Boot Device Not Found. After following all your prompts. Says please install an operating system on your hard disk. Hard Disk - (3FO)
@@pcguide4u Husband took it to a pc tech repair. Paid $100 to have him scrub everything, he lost files and whatever then the guy reinstalled Windows 10? Not sure I have all the details right, but pretty sure we got ripped off.
I'm sorry to hear that, however, the original error was "install an operating system on your hard disk. Hard Disk - (3FO)", is not liable to delete any files and folders. If the tech guy installed a new Windows and during the installation process he may wipe the C:\ drive partition, then indeed you lost your files and folders if those exist in any related locations (Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Pictures). This is most likely a tech guy's responsibility to back up OR notify the owner before he/she starts the installation.
@@pcguide4u He did tell us. It was going to be $400 with the back up vs $100 to do a clean install of Windows 10. I'm sure he lost some things but hubby didn't seem to care. It was an office laptop and 4-5 years old. He retired with it and is glued to his Iphone instead (unlike me who cannot live without my laptop) so I guess it doesn't matter? His office desk top computer they backed up before he left the company.
This could then be due to a loose or disconnected connection on the hard drive. You may need to check your hardware connections to ensure all hard drive connections are secure. For more information, follow official website: support.hp.com/in-en/document/ish_3053911-2842957-16
@@pcguide4u yeah i tried that. just didnt work. i also tried hitting f8 at startup to bring up the windows menu to just attempt the reinstall windows. my system wont even do that. good news. the f2 option where i run all of the diagnostic test. every single one passed. it doesnt look like i need a new harddrive. maybe just a new way to install windows i dont know.

After putting the code and enter , I see Internet rapid storage technology and I am asked to press control + I. The display shows reset disks to non raid.
It looks RAID mode is ON for your machine. I suspect you have a DELL laptop. This involves BIOS and other settings. I would suggest visiting a nearby tech store.
Wow ,thank a million for saving my documents I did apply knowledge and my computer is back with all my files you are indeed a scholar from Liberia west Africa
Check out the steps below: 1. Launch BIOS Utility 2. Select Boot Option > Secure Boot, if Enabled > Disable it, and save settings. 3. If you find the secure boot as Disabled > Enable it and save settings and reboot.
The F10 key in BIOS is basically to save the current values (in case the user makes any changes). In this case, it does nothing, probably no settings were changed. Alternatively, you may give it a try by connecting to a USB keyboard
Try with this - Launch BIOS Utility and go to Exit Menu and then select Load Setup Defaults and save (F10) and exit BIOS and follow onscreen instructions, if any
Give it a try with the steps below: Launch BIOS Utility Select Boot Option > Secure Boot, if Enabled > Disable it and save settings. In case if you found secure boot as Disabled > Enable it and save settings and reboot
I have the same problem. The same message appears, but it requires a bios update to Windows 11. How do I do that? Can you help me?
I tried this, but for me even after doing this the problem is continuing.. can u tell some suggestions.

@@pcguide4u So what should I do
Whenever I click esc or F10 nothing happens even if I spam it or click it once do you have any suggestions
You need to check and make sure F10 key is the key to get into the BIOS utility
Thank you so much, I followed your instructions and my computer is now back up and running!
You're welcome! Glad it helped 🙂

If you are seeing "install an operating system on your hard disk" which looks like Windows OS got corrupted. Better to install a fresh copy of Windows

Make sure you have saved the settings before you Exit BIOS.
What if legacy support was enable , and the problem does not go away
What if the legacy support is already enabled? Any suggestion how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Wonder if after you do that you get the message :ERROR: no boot disk has been detected or the disk has failed
On a black screen?
Probably, your system doesn't support Legacy mode.
Go back to BIOS settings and "Set BIOS to Default" > save settings > reboot

I don't have the legacy support ? Please do you know how to fix it
Check out the steps below:
1. Launch BIOS Utility
2. Select Boot Option > Secure Boot, if Enabled > Disable it, and save settings. 3. If you find the secure boot as Disabled > Enable it and save settings and reboot.
I can't find legacy support option....(Hp mini) ..plz help
Can you provide the full model number of your HP Mini?
I did the system check and in the storage tests it is showing no storage installed
What should I do? Is the storage device plug loose physically or some other problem?
If it is showing "no storage installed," then it is most probably due to loss of connection or hard drive connectivity issue (hardware)
So what do you do if you press f10 and it does nothing?
The F10 key in BIOS is basically to save the current values (in case the user makes any changes). In this case, it does nothing, probably no settings were changed.
