As a performer at several Midwest festivals, I want to say how thrilled I am to see you guys going and enjoying yourselves. if you really are going to Texas next year, I certainly will try and swing a performance there. Keep an eye out for a rainbow motley storyteller...
When Chell started clapping because the crowd started to... Cuteness overload! It's incredible what kids pick up on based on the world around them. There's so much from my own childhood that I don't really remember learning. Looking back certain concepts just seem like they were always there. Crazy to think about.
God she reminds me of my daughter so much, she is so aware and bright. My daughter had bow legs and waved to everyone in the street. She is going to keep you on your toes.
oh I love the Renaissance Fair. Walking around gnawing on a turkey leg, gawking at the costumes and the buxom lasses. i love the parade with the queen. cool stuff to buy too.
So, funny story, the adam crack guy who does the whips and stuff. I worked at the resistance faire in southern Wisconsin this past summer and was the stage manager for one of his shows. He is awesome. If you guys ever get up to Wisconsin go to the Bristol renaissance faire that runs from July to Labor Day. It's like the Texas one and the jousting is 100% real.
he also works at the Scarborough Ren Fest in Waxahachie,Texas too-has been for quite a few years now-he is awesome and in the Guinness book of world records for some of his whip tricks-he has his own show and does some fun stuff with Don Juan and Miguel-crazy Spaniards(sorta)-it's in April thru Memorial Day-maybe add it to the bucket list guys?? I used to work there and both of my boys adored it..even as babies!
Okay, do you ever get tired of hearing this: CHELL IS SOOO CUTE!!! I can't help it, she's just adorable with the horsies, and dancing, and clapping, and.... Yes, I know I don't see her when she gets all tired and stuff, but you have to know what joy her little face brings to us. Hope you're having fun in Dallas!
Here you guys are have an amazing day, doing what you love, being an awesome family, loving life. And here I sit, with my second hand apartment that costs me 60% of my salary, drinking on a Monday because I work 66 hours a week at a job that completely drains me. Not including the 55 minute commute each way. Thanks for showing me that I can do better, that life will not always be like this. Thanks for showing me that someday, my life will be half as good as yours look via the vlogs. Keep doing what you doing best
Next year you need to camp at the Texas Renaissance. There are huge bonfires, people dressed up, playing drums and music and people dancing around the fire. It's amazing. I went every year its defiantly the high light of the year!
I live in Texas and visiting the Renaissance Festival each year is so exciting! I am so happy that y'all are enjoying yourselves. My sister visited the Festival on Wednesday and I will be going to Dallas this Wednesday. Have fun in Texas!
I was there Saturday!!!! I've been going to that Ren Fest since I was a baby! It has grown so much. So much has also changed. Some of the rides changed and of course shows have grown and changed and some have not changed for as long as I can remember. I'm happy you got a chance to experience it! TRF to me is the best Renaissance Faire around because how big and how much it shows.
It is a nice break from unpacking to sit down an d watch the Ren Fair with you. Where oh where did Chell get all her rhythm? Such a nice surprise to have weekend vlogs. The continued road trip makes me especially happy! Have fun at IKEA. It is one of my favorite shopping experiences! Much love...now back to unpacking. Goodbye!👋🏻
Ren Fests are just too much fun. Just being there makes ya want to dress up. You are right the food is terrific! Yummers Turkey legs or sausage! It's great that they run these fests for weeks (weekends). You can get a schedule for them somewhere, google it! Great trip dudes, Chell is growing up very well educated. I think her people skills are gonna be wonderful.
I’d love to go to that festival. I will say that even though the tricks that they were doing was pretty cool. Watching Chell was way more fun. She is absolutely adorable. I’m so glad that you decided to vlog today. I have really been missing your weekend vlogs. Thank you both Cory and Kristen for being so positive and fun. Can’t wait to see where your headed to next. Have a great day!!!
Seriously never thought that horses and ponies would be in dude like hella's videos... I'm loving this! Chell's eyes just light up!!!! So freaking sweet! I love Renaissance Festivals! and Oktoberfests! This was awesome!
We got one in Muskogee called the castle of Muskogee, just about 30 mins from Tulsa. They do renaissance, fireworks in the summer, and spooky stuff for Halloween. So next time you wanna see a renfair you don’t have to go all the way to Texas!
Neato! Tulsa is where my husband and I go on date nights...and Asian grocery stores haha I just went to the castle for Halloween with my momma and little brother a few days before Halloween. Pretty neat I hadn’t been in years!
I absolutely love the Ren-Fair!! I went with my family last weekend. We've gone for the past five or six years running so far. You can go from open to close the whole weekend and still not see everything there, and they're expanding it again for next year! I'm so happy to see that y'all had a good time, especially Chell with the fire-whip guy. he's hillarious ^_^ next time try to get to the ded bob show, you'll be rolling in laughter lol
If you guys love the renaissance themed places you should totally go to medieval times. That place is very cool you go to this big place and go have dinner and a show. The big surprise is that you eat medieval food and its so cool!!
I haven't been in years and I really need to go next summer!! Renaissance is so fun!! My heart melted when Chell clapped for the whip guy....ow, my heart!
Renaissance Festivals are loads of fun, especially when you dress for the occasion (and you can rent chain mail costumes to wear while you're there too, and buy that as well as other period costumes). First one I went to, in Novato, CA in the summer, was hot as Hades. It became quickly apparent that my choice of jeans for the day was going to cause me to suffer heat-stroke. So, first renaissance costume was a gauze peasant skirt, floppy blouse, and vest/corset...RELIEF...and great fun. I still have that costume, some 30+ years later. The two great classic shows to see there (if they are still performing) is Dead Bob and the dueling Spaniards....hysterical. I bet the next time you guys go to one, you'll all get dressed up and really get into it!
I lived in San Jose when they first started the Ren Fest in Novato...I always wanted to go, but never did:( And you always have to be willing to endure the weather, just like folks did 500 years ago! Lucky you to have gone!
KayErin: yes, Novato in summer is brutal, thanks to the humidity. I went to several in Phoenix, which would have been brutal except for the time of year (late winter/early spring). They are always great fun (and a great excuse to get another costume..hint, hint Cory).
Welcome to Dallas!! Love love love this channel! My husband and I watch regularly, along with our 3 month old son, Banan (he's a fan of your Big Mean Kitty Song).
Awesome vlog, glad y’all experience that Proposal. Welcome to Dallas! I live and work here. And I’ll definitely check out LiveEachDay I’m a believer for the recommendation. 👍🏻😂
My husband and I have been to TRF many times, as part of our pirate crew. We usually camp in a tent so we can wee the whole faire since it's so big. Glad you enjoyed! I may have a corset Kristen can borrow next year, or is you come down in the spring to the Dallas area we could meet up for Scarborough Renaissance Festival, which is a little closer to the period of the renaissance. Love your videos!!!
Omg we have been going for years! We went about three weeks ago! I am sooo bummed that I missed yall. Try camping in the camp ground by the bon fire next time. The drum music is awesome!
Oh my gosh!! To think of y'all being SO CLOSE to me and not being able to hug you.....:-( I hope Texas does for you what I feel we do best....welcomes you and makes you feel at home!! 💛💛
Oh Cory you make my day so bright... You ask, "What kind of food do I like"....English, German, Polish???Hmmm I'll have Polish... I LOVE Polish food. I ask you, is there any kind of food you DON'T like??? LOL What I admire the most is your willingness to try all of it so you can make a real choice. Until I was 9, I only had Danish and Swedish food ... and then my uncle married a lady from Scranton PA and I had spaghetti for the first time.
I live about 30-40 minutes from there. We are going next weekend. Wish we would have gone this weekend and got a chance to see y’all. Glad y’all had a good time though! We go every single year and always look forward to it
Welcome to my little corner of the world! Well, I actually live in Austin so I'm more south, but still...its Texas! TRF (Texas Renaissance Festival) is definitely pretty amazing. Glad y'all have enjoyed your trip!
The proposal warmed my heart, as did the "Bonjour mes amis" but the proposal more so! I hope that couple end up very very happy together! Bonne chance!
Dressing up is part of the fun of RenFest. I have three different outfits that I have. My fiance just got his first full outfit this past weekend. I went both days this past weekend and it was great. This coming weekend is the last for this year but I wasn't able to go to either day anyway so that's fine. I got excited for RenFest a month before it even started. God, I'm such a nerd, but I love it.
I love that you went here and captured it! It reminds me of the one we have in Lancaster, PA every year from Aug-Oct. there are different themed weekends but I always go at the end of Oct for Halloween. This one looks just as cool as ours! (ours is always so ungodly crowded no matter where you go, which kind of stinks. It makes it hard to do anything.) The arena is awesome that they have at the one in TX!
But but but but but....I live 20 minutes from Dallas, Texas!!! 😊 Hope and pray y'all have a safe trip home. I love going to the Renaissance Festival in Waxahachie, Texas every year.
Chell on the pony: Couldn't smile wider if she tried! ^_^ Chell clapping to beat sixty is just too precious! She's so enthusiastic. Way cool place!
As a performer at several Midwest festivals, I want to say how thrilled I am to see you guys going and enjoying yourselves. if you really are going to Texas next year, I certainly will try and swing a performance there. Keep an eye out for a rainbow motley storyteller...
I am loving watching the trip, Its almost like i'm taking too! But it costs nothing!
I love Renaissance festivals!!!
When Chell started clapping because the crowd started to... Cuteness overload! It's incredible what kids pick up on based on the world around them. There's so much from my own childhood that I don't really remember learning. Looking back certain concepts just seem like they were always there. Crazy to think about.
It's so nice that you choosed polish food :) Greetings from Poland :)
You love polish food?! OH MY, so nice to hear :D it's delicious!
Me for two seconds: Surprise proposal? But you're already married?
Also me for two seconds: What are they wearing? Is it for a Mr. Safety video or something?
oh lul
Time to get Chell a pony. Love y'alls vlogs!
God she reminds me of my daughter so much, she is so aware and bright. My daughter had bow legs and waved to everyone in the street. She is going to keep you on your toes.
Big trip idea for later - come to Europe to one of those medieval festivals at a real castle 🙋
oh I love the Renaissance Fair. Walking around gnawing on a turkey leg, gawking at the costumes and the buxom lasses. i love the parade with the queen. cool stuff to buy too.
I love how for Chell, the key component of the goodbye is always the wave. So cute!
I tried out this channel you recommended.. you're right: It's pretty darn good! :-P
So, funny story, the adam crack guy who does the whips and stuff. I worked at the resistance faire in southern Wisconsin this past summer and was the stage manager for one of his shows. Hello fellow Wisconsinite!!!! I'm up in the Appleton area!
I love the Bristol Ren Faire! We go every year and in costume!
That couple actaully took a picture with me and I didnt know that the guy had just proposed! Wish I coulve congratulated them.
It happened shortly after the pic with you. Thank you for taking a pic with us! Your garb is awesome!
One of those vlogs i don't want to end!

I’m so happy I get to live this with y’all on my day off 😆😆😆
I LOVE everything about Renaissance festivals !!!
Thank you so much for catching this moment! 😍😍😍😍😍
Awwww the proposal was so cute and sweet!!!! 😍😍😍💛
Here you guys are have an amazing day, doing what you love, being an awesome family, loving life. One hand waves, one comforts the belly button! Sweet.
Awww seeing Chell so happy on the pony and then clapping and dancing was soooo lovely!!! :)
Love you guys! cant wait to see more! Your vlogs have been a part of my life since the original mean kitty video!
I live in Texas and visiting the Renaissance Festival each year is so exciting! I am so happy that y'all are enjoying yourselves. My sister visited the Festival on Wednesday and I will be going to Dallas this Wednesday. Have fun in Texas!

I love these types of festivals. I go to the Colorado Renaissance Festival every year. They are so much fun.
Omg when Chell clapped when everyone else did I lost it! Sooo cute!!
So you guys should really do renfest! Dress up and everything, Chell would love it and I’m sure Cory would have a blast getting into character.
Ren Fests are just too much fun. Just being there makes ya want to dress up. You are right the food is terrific! Yummers Turkey legs or sausage! It's great that they run these fests for weeks (weekends). You can get a schedule for them somewhere, google it!

it's fun to see you guys having a great time there. Always thanx for sharing it with us.
I'll put forth another vote for the Bristol Renaissance Faire! It's been voted the best Faire in the country many years in a row for a reason!
This festival looks so much fun.
Oh my god, that is awesome, I feel so happy for them.
Omg I was at the Texas Renaissance Festival too! But I didn't see you😩💜💜💜
Chell’s shoes!!! They kinda remind me of clogs, especially when she’s dancing. She is so cute!❤️
Man I can't wait to see Cory in full Renaissance regalia
Epic town. Wonderful.
We got one in Muskogee called the castle of Muskogee, just about 30 mins from Tulsa. They do renaissance, fireworks in the summer, and spooky stuff for Halloween. So next time you wanna see a renfair you don’t have to go all the way to Texas!

Dressing up makes it so much fun! Years ago I would go to Waxahachie in period costume....SO FUN!
I went there years ago! I can’t wait to go back!

DrValerie800 they definitely should make it a thing, it’s right up Cory’s alley

idowickedtkd: absolutely! Not only is it a great excuse to get more costumes, but also a chance to get more uses out of present costumes he has.
Omg, I've been there before and I saw the glass blowing... amazing!
I wish Id known yall were gonna be there! I was supposed to be there this weekend!

Loved how Chell reacted to the guy with the whips.
My husband and I have been to TRF many times, as part of our pirate crew. We usually camp in a tent so we can wee the whole faire since it's so big. Glad you enjoyed! Dressing up is part of the fun of RenFest. I have three different outfits that I have. My fiance just got his first full outfit this past weekend. I went both days this past weekend and it was great.
