Rear tires Omg the speed they get in a short span . I hope the audience is appreciative. The announcers are sooooo dull it’s crazy. Come on ! These are a thing of beauty .!
Many years ago, I was sitting in the first row at the entrance to turn one at a half-mile track in Florida as Bentley Warren made some hot laps. He came by me at around 150 mph and inches from the wall. I promptly got up and found a seat about 20 rows up. These cars are scary fast and the drivers have to be crazy to climb into one because with the engines offset, the exhaust headers on the inboard side go right over the driver's legs.
I met Bentley up at a exhibition race at NHMS, my cousin had media passes and we were in the infield, Bentley said they were hitting 170 in the straights and the way the cars are twitchy when unloaded at speed, he said it was a handful, but sooo much fun blasting around there.
Thanks for posting this! I’ve only seen these cars once in person when they came to Michigan. Terrifically fast and the wing movement on every lap is unique. The cars are almost unbelievable; crazy offset, uniquely configured big-blocks, huge tires, and beautiful cars. I may need to plan a trip to the east to see them again.
@@mitchdrew9005 I saw them at Berlin Raceway in Grand Rapids quite a few years ago. I don’t think that group travels that far any more. The association may have changed?.
Jon McKennedy a unbelievable driver! I was there at the race and saw him put on a show of hard nose and focused!!! Thanks for a great season Jon McKennedy!! Will miss the 21 next year, congrats to the owners and the support over the years!
They came out and put on a show at our little 3/8 mile oval. They used to have an open wheel night and they put up a bounty to see who could set the track record between the asphalt sprint cars and super modifieds. The super mods set the record and still stands to this day.
Love these big tracks like Thompson and Oswego where the cars can really get going. Would love to see these cars at Kern County with that deep banking so similar to Jukasa's.
Supers are one of my favorite racers to watch. I used to go to a lot of the races but after awhile I didn't go to as many races. NASCAR and a lot of the other sanctions put their racers back in the order they are currently at when there is a caution. ISMA does not. It always got me that on a restart the racers in the, lets say 4th, 5th, 6th positions and back, had these lapped cars in front of them, slowing them down from catching the leaders on a restart. The leaders have a clear track ahead of them and run away from the rest of the pack. It's not usually much of a race after that.
The worst directing spoiled the action. Infuriating. Cameras are covering the pack when the race is up front. Typical ISMA. Have great camera positions for a change and blow it with BS directing. Figures.

Nah, what they got is far better than DRS. I wish IndyCar, F1, or even S5000 would implement a similar kind of moveable wing.
