RailAdventure Class 43 HST Powercars 43480 & 43468 heads to Great Yarmouth | 12th September 2023

An HST Set in Norfolk, you must be kidding right!
Today a rare move took place running from Ely Papworth Sidings to Great Yarmouth which was to move 11 ex-GWR Sliding Door Mk3's to be stored at Eastern Rail Services sidings, these coaches have not been purchased by ERS but have been moved due to a overload of old stock at Ely Papworth resulting in no space for any other stock to be stored there.
This also marked the first time an HST has ran in Norfolk since 2014, when an East Midlands Trains VP185 engined HST Set did a railtour from London St Pancras to Dereham on the Mid Norfolk Railway. We have had the prototype HST powercar 41001 visit the Mid Norfolk Railway in 2016 and 2019 but I am talking about a pure modern HST. The HST's are the new-ish RailAdventure Powercars which are the old Grand Central/EMT Buffered sets which are now used to mostly move brand new Class 777 units to the Mersey Rail Network in and around Liverpool.
Here we see an abundance of other units passing Spooner Row and of course Class 43 - 43480 and 43468 with the 11 ex-GWR Mk3's running the 11:38 5Z44 Ely Mlf Papworth Sidings to Yarmouth C.H.S. passing 40 minutes early.
Also featured is an plane taking off from Norwich going overhead to the Mediterranean.

I used Railcam, that shows the numbers 50% of the time. But you need a subscription to see them
