@@dc3565 well yeah that’s why it’s called a TDI
Did you ever regret deleting it? I just bought mine. Has 100k. I just spent 2k for the rawtek DP and tunezilla. Should I stick with it or let VW put a new dpf in it? The egr will be deleted too. So I’d be making the engine breath and run better. What could go wrong?
@@bobbo2576 honestly removing all that crap is the best thing for these engines. I’ve been deleted 2 years and I have nothing but great things to say. The car is so much more fun to drive, and I love the sound. It’s unique. Car has been insanely reliable compared to my previous car: MK6 2.5L. I’d say the only real downside is the smell. It smells, especially if just sitting in idle for too long. I’m almost at 80K miles BTW.
@@wnabgti I wish I got mine with lower miles but they’re hard to find. I bought my rawtek exhaust and Malone stage 2 tune. Will be here next week. Should I get the hard limiter or no? Worth the $100? I think you can set it to any rpm so I can change it at anytime technically
That puddle next to the skid marks is from the AC (if anyone was wondering)
Did the neuspeed damper really do anything?? Or should I just save myself 200 bucks and save up for a cp3 pump?
Slightly better response. It does make the turbo louder, but not nearly as much as a downpipe will. It changes the exhaust tone slightly at idle and on the top end, but honestly not a huge difference. I’d probably spend the money elsewhere.
nice
Thanks!
Nice little build. What wheels are those? If they aren’t stock what do they come on? Thanks.
Thanks! Those are MK6 OEM GTI Autobahn wheels. I got them used off Craigslist, but they were in great condition. I ran those on my MK6 2.5L Golf, and then transferred them over to my TDI when I got this car.
@@wnabgti thanks !
Surprised you’re in CA with these mods
Being a newer diesel in California, they don’t need to pass smog for the first 8 years. Being a 2015, 2023 was the first year I had to pass. The exhaust is back to stock now, but I’m still running Malone Stage 2 engine file and DSG tune. It’s too much of a pain to swap back and forth so I’m just going to leave it.
@@wnabgti notice any power decrease on the stock system?
@@sleeper.simulant7327 for daily driving, I noticed zero difference. Apparently I lost 20 horsepower and torque but it doesn’t feel like it. Car is still super torquey and fun to drive. If anything, you notice a slight power decrease in the higher RPM’s WOT. Most the power with this car is done via software / bigger turbo.
@@sleeper.simulant7327 but if you don’t live in a place with regulations, I would 100% recommend deleting.
@@wnabgti I live in VT. A buddy of mine works at a dealer and sent me pics of a 2015 TDI 6 speed manual they just got in, seriously contemplating grabbing it to daily as I commute 100~ miles a day round trip. It’s technically illegal to delete that stuff here but they only check your diagnostic port during inspection, and a tune with these mods will bypass the OBD check
What brand of aftermarket headlights are those? They look awesome
Thanks! The headlights are from BEC Auto Parts (Eds Reps)
get the BMP tuning ones. by far the best on the market
@@S54VR6 I’ll look into those. I really love that mine are fully LED. They have special multi in high beam and low beam LED projectors so it’s just plug n play, no HIDs. The quality isn’t the best tho some of the film have start peeling from heat
@@wnabgti same features with BMP but I can confirm the quality is the there with the BMP tuning ones. Great tdi, Cheers 🍻
How does it compare with these mods to any other comparable cars
It drives like a stock GTI, but gets 40 MPG. The torque makes this car really fun to drive.
What front lip is that?
Maxton Design “FRONT SPLITTER V.2 VW GOLF 7 GTI”
How good is the Rawtek catalyser? Does it cut down on the smell? I'm looking to buy exactly your setup in the future, there doesn't seem to be a lot of information
There’s no catalytic converter if that’s what you’re asking. Rawtek’s eco kit is essentially a 3” downpipe. DPF deleted. I do have one resonator but that just helps with sound a bit. I’m thinking of deleting the res. It does smell a bit but it doesn’t bother me. It might bother some people.
@@wnabgti do it will smell like a semi truck then?
@@oh_look_bananas yeah it will definitely smell without the DPF. I personally don’t think it’s a bad smell, but some would definitely argue it smells bad. Sometimes if you’re at a red light the smell will come through the cabin but that not super often.
@@wnabgti if I live in an area where they don’t inspect vehicles could you still get fined for deleting?
@@wnabgti ok, I know rawtek makes a catalytic converter as well for their eco kit if wanted but i must've read wrong! Is the sound tolerable for long drives with the rawtek resonator in place?
Look at me I'm a loser with a roof rack that I don't use uh durr
It makes me feel spethal okay
