I had a sim called Jeff huggleberg. I got a lot of money by selling bathtubs. When I had 500k, i decided to buy a shop just for fun, and by selling fridges, i made 800k in like, one week in game. Every turn i made solid 160k. Buying a shop in the sims 4 is a really good investment.
i made a bakery because of this video, i also decided that i could sell my sims paintings too. and oh my, do the paintings sell like hot cakes! i made 5k in one day and that’s just because i ran out of paintings. the sims definitely don’t buy baked goods as much as my excellent quality bakery items. but they’re still adorable so i keep a couple displays in my shop. and instead of restocking that same painting for $400, i go back home and make new paintings for 50-100 and make more profit plus there’s new interesting paintings every day! this is so super fun and i’m glad i bought get to work finally
I know it's silly, but I just wanted to tell someone: My boyfriend and I play this game together. For real, we made ourselves, our dream house, families and their real houses in the game. We take turns and update the other on what's been going on in our world. Now to the important bit: his family is pretty miserable. His dad is a doctor that comes from a long line of doctors, his mom is a lawyer that comes from a long line of lawyers and judges, and his older brother is studying to be a doctor even though he always wanted to be an athlete, although he couldn't because of some physical problems. None of them ever actually want to do what they do now. So we had their sims doing the closest equivalent to their real life jobs, and then it hit me: I can make these versions of them happy. So my father in law with the impeccable palate is a food critic that owns a restaurant, my mother in law that loves to make cakes owns a bakery and paints as a hobby, and my brother in law is a world class athlete.

What a great video again. If I switch households, can my new sim buy these perfect dishes in this store? I'm asking because this way you could build a small business imperium spread over different families.

You make a good point! It is generally cheaper to make it from scratch every time, but depending on how the dish comes out (the money it's worth) sometimes the mark up can make it worse than restocking dishes with high base costs (especially true if you have the marketable trait). The other problem is that you won't get any perk points that you would otherwise get from restocking if you always create a new dish. That being said it's completely up to you and your playstyle :).

Trying to build a bakery and it’s making me so mad, my retail lot isn’t letting me put the baked goods for sale. And then on top of that it’s not letting me edit, saying I have to go to maps for the lot to be edited. Help.
Did you actually buy the lot? It sounds like your sim doesn't own the lot you're trying to use. You can use the buy a retail store option on the phone or on thr tab which shows your businesses.
@@isaatje66 yeah I bought it, I think it’s a glitch in my game, I tried it on a residential lot and it started working thankfully, I now remember playing in the past and the same lot wasn’t working, Thank you though :)
Where can I purchase the bakery on Xbox?
Is this pc?
Can you hire workers?
