  • It was two years in the making, but I am so proud to say, I finally finished my complete singing course and it’s now available at Udemy.com/how-to-sing-for-artists. It’s almost 6 hours of material, and it’s for all ages and skill levels. If you’d like me to be your teacher, but can’t commit to regular private lessons, now you can learn with me at your own pace and at a fraction of the cost.
Music has always helped me escape and tap into my joy when the world has gotten a little too chaotic. I hope this course can provide you all with a digital hug from me and some comfort in these difficult times. Thank you so much for singing with me!

Bts Is south Korean group, this days people prefer don't mix them with kpop **
    1. They are 7, 4 vocalist, 3 rappers (2 underground rappers) all dancers
    2. Bts compose and produce their own music, so is very personal, they talk about mental health, politics, society, their fans, self love, etc
    3. They have a story behind their videos so is difficult to new people understand, we (the armys) have to read a several books and study set, philosophy, psychology and mythology to understand. Their last album for example was "map of the soul:persona" and is inspired by the psychologist book the map of the soul by Jung.
    4. The army love them because they are good people who through a lot of bad things to be where they are now, and even being famous they stay humble.
    5. They have a lot of genres and you can find subtitles in every possible language.
**Bts always present themselves as a Korean group, and always said they don't want to be labeled in a genre or industry. The fans also do not want to be mixed with kpopers, (most of us aren't kpop fans) we don't have the same ideals

Omg please don’t mishear the word naega with the n word.
It’s real hard to form a sentence in Korean without the use of naega ( 내가 ) and 네가 (nega) which means “I” and “you”.
When pronounced fast it can be misheard but it’s not like that at all.
When they performed in America they took extra care to change the lyrics of their songs only to not be interpreted as the n word. They’re really aware and know
This karaoke video was a fun video for us, some of the songs weren’t theirs (karaoke obviously) but they always have subtitles on their official videos so we understand the lyrics very easily.
If you’re not into rap that much I’d recommend their “Spring day” song or “Home” or “Boy with luv”
They have a massive amount of content and it’s really hard to get their full capability from this video alone so if you want to know more you’ll need to go deeper than the surface. Glad you’ve enjoyed this

3 years training, before their debut in 2013. 7 years together doing vocals, rap, dance. They write a lot of their own songs. Two of the members have more than 100 song copyrights each.
Their MV's are fabulous. But it is through watching their live performances and dance practices, that one can understand the hard work they put in. They are famous for being caring towards each other and their fans.
I listened to the Beatles before they were famous. These guys have the same unusual game-changing creative levels that the Beatles had at the time.
There are 3 rappers, called the rap line, and 4 vocalists, called the vocal line. All can dance, but there are 4 who dance best, who are also sometimes called the dance line.
There's much more. Their content is rich. Fans make color-coded lyric videos of their songs, so you can see who is singing or rapping which lines, and read the Korean words, with English translations.
In mid December 2019, I had never heard of them. I now believe they are the best musical group currently active worldwide.
It was fun seeing a professional, and a caring mom, reacting to some good musicians.

It's fine since you don't know anything about Kpop but just FYI, it's not fair to compare Kpop GROUPS with what you know as the concept of a BOYBAND. Kpop IDOLS (stars) train for years before even debuting to perfect their skills, from dancing to singing to acting and more! They put incredible effort into their craft and deserve a lot of respect for it regardless of whether or not someone likes Kpop. I'm not trying to criticize you for thinking otherwise of course - again, you had no way of knowing. It's just hard for me to see them being overlooked and dismissed over and over again based on pure prejudice such as them being a 'boyband' and looking young and fun or whatever....they are so soooo much more than that.

They have 4 singers and 3 rappers, out of which two of the rappers were in the underground rap scene before joining bts. BTS was also supposed to be a hip-hop group at first, so they do have a lot of rap heavy songs. But the vocal line of the group have some songs which I'd recommend, like "the truth untold", "house of cards" and "00:00/zero o'clock", if you just put in the name of the song and "eng lyrics" on youtube, videos with translated and colour coded lyrics should pop up.
BTS also produces and writes all of their own songs, though the rappers are the main songwriters in the group.
    The songs that they sung in the video are;
*Mic Drop* -- which is basically just a flex song.
*ON* -- which is about them and their success, but in a way that discusses the uncertainty and unease they feel, but also their determination to push forward.
*Black Swan* -- this song is about the fear of losing your love for something you are passionate about, which in bts' case would be music, but also about how they will never let that happen. The song was inspired by the quote "a dancer dies twice, first when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful one".

The each have songs they have sung as solos and also they have songs with just the rappers and just the vocalists along with songs for the whole group. Their stage presence is 👌(Don't react to it though, you might get a strike 😅 Just watch in your own time)

I really enjoyed this reaction! I hope you react to more BTS. The four vocalists have really distinct and unique voices and I would love to hear your thoughts as a vocal coach especially since you seem to have genuine interest. I see a lot of people are recommending you react to “BTS High Notes and Falsettos Compilation” and I would like to echo that recommendation. Make sure it is the video by ‘smile hoya’ because there is a video with a similar title and more views (that doesn’t show their vocal ability as well).

Theyre not just artists but also an inspiration to so many People

I am 54 years old, mother of two, and have a masters degree in secondary education. My daughter introduced BTS to me 3 years ago and I’ve been an army ever since. If you take the time to read the lyrics you will see more than just “fluff.” Their work ethic is amazing and they are dedicated to transparency and authenticity. The fans, Army, are extremely welcoming but are fiercely protective. I say this so you will be more careful in any future reactions to not be patronizing. This is not your average boy band.

the kpop industry has had hundreds, maybe thousands of groups in the last decade, debut. The competition to succeed is exceedingly higher than the western market where we have garage bands, commercially visual groups formed by people like Simon Cowell etc. They trained for years in rap, vocals and dance, the most I've ever heard someone train for is 10 years. For BTS, their leader trained 4 years and the member with the shortest training period, one. The kpop industry is vastly different in how the celebs or as they're called, idols, live their lives and are treated. Korea is very scrutinizing, picking apart every time someone breathes in the wrong direction or says something they weren't supposed to and it's career suicide to date. Since so much is sacrificed by these idols to train and debut, you won't find a single idol in the industry who cannot either sing, rap or dance.

This is a wonderful clip to get to see a bit of their personalities and their vocal skills. You would have to actually watch their videos (official videos have captions), which are found on BigHit's TH-cam page, to get the deep meanings and story line connected to their music. Also sometimes even reading the captions doesn't quite convey the exact meaning because it gets lost in translation. So if a song were to interest you there are explanation videos that can help with that. People brush BTS's fans off as air-heads who like young pretty boys. BTS are a group of young men who sing and rap about the intimacy of getting to know who you are as a person and not being ashamed of it. They encourage the world to find beauty in the world around them especially the little things. I am a mother of 2 and I never feel ashamed of letting my daughters listen or sing BTS's songs. I hope you listen to their music as a group and also their individual works.
    P.s. Sorry for the essay

Thank you for checking out BTS. The second song was a Bruno Mars song and the fourth song was a Post Malone song. The rest were BTS songs. The are not a typical boy band. They appeal to many types and ages of people. I’m 48 years old and think they are amazing. When you watch their videos, you can put closed captions on and you can read what they’re saying. The lyrics are very deep. The Bangtan Universe is a storyline that runs through many of their videos. You can google the order of the videos if you would like to watch them. The first song was Mic Drop. That was to tell their haters off. The next two were ON and Black Swan. These songs are on their newest album Map of the Soul: 7, released in April, and are influenced by Carl Jung’s book, Map of the Soul. It is about personalities. Persona, shadow, and ego. It’s pretty heavy stuff for a boy band, but that’s what makes BTS so amazing and appealing to diverse people. Their lyrics are very smart. The leader, RM (sitting up front), has an IQ of 148 and produces and writes much of their music.

ahhhh, its so lovely to see new people discovering and listening to bts everyday, im sure you've seen all the pointers already but if there is one thing i may add out of my pure bts heart is that they are so so so much more than 7 boys picked off the street because they look good, can dance and sing. They are unaccredited and some of the most hardworking dedicated and loving people. they have saved countless lives with their music which is why as armys (fans) we are so protective of them because they are too humble to do it themselves. The effort they put into their music is god tier and we are so thankful for them excepting each and every one of us as we are.
not to go on because lord knows i can forever aha. just a note that maybe you should look into them more, i know you meant nothing by it of course. just felt like i needed to give them some light on how hard they worked to get where they are!
hope you try to understand them more, if not hope you enjoyed listening to them regardless!

So you're about ten years older then most of them :) the youngest (Jungkook) is two years younger then the rest. They seem younger because of the 'boy band' persona, lack of facial hair and incredible skin care. But they sing about really mature, serious stuff so their fans are a whole range of ages. Thanks for giving them a try.

When they auditioned, they were good at either rapping, dancing, had a little singing experience or was simply handsome. At one point, the guy in blue stage-right -Jungkook- wanted to just specialise in dance and it took some convincing from eg Jimin for him to work on vocals and it's all hard work and singing lessons and 16 hours per day of dance practice that results in them nailing their performances

Wow, I am amazed how a passionate mom with her kid reacts to BTS which is somewhat rare for others because of the language barrier. I love that she, as a mother is explaining adorably the this and thats, what they do, and it actually made me say THIS MOM IS AWESOME. Thank you for this reaction. BTS is quite exceptional and branches out different styles and breaks stereotypes. But to mention some, the BTS Universe explains the storyline of BTS as an alternative universe with amazing theories.
Ps. I recommend you guys to react to BTS song LOVE MYSELF: ANSWER. Don't forget the subtitle! Thank you!

If you want to watch understand their deep lyrics, you will need to watch the explanation videos on some of their songs. I recommend Bapsae to start with. A lot of BTS’ songs sound like party music until you really look into what they are saying.

Some of those songs were not theirs, you should react to the truth untold or house of cards(if you don’t like rap), and spring day or airplane pt 2 are my favourites!they sing all different genres and do solo projects too, there’s jimins serendipity, Jin’s awake, jungkooks euphoria and v’s singularity that showcases the vocal lines singing voices.

Hi!! I loved your reaction and i really appreaciate that you wanted to learn about them a bit before watching. You said that you prefered pop songs and well, since almost half of the group are rappers, there are gonna be rap parts in many of their songs. however, they also have solos and subunit songs which are songs that are not performed by the whole group but just some members so you can actually find maaaaany songs without rap (for example epiphany, the truth untold, stigma, my time, serendipity just to name a few). also they have songs which have softer and more melodic style of rap (spring day, jamais vu, seesaw for example). tbh i really liked your reaction and id love to see you reacting to some of their music. if you are going to, turn on the cc for english lyrics. btw yes you totally misheard that word that starts with n 😅 it's a korean word so dont worry
