1st, it's getting a dedicated space for retro video making, then it's growing a beard. Next will be tweed jackets and opening a museum 😂
(Although yours would presumably have an "Amiga cupboard")

The controls aren't the issue with the new Tomb Raider, its the camera interaction with the ceiling in tight spaces. It'll get you killed SO many times.

It's really cool to know some people actually got those OLPC machines and it impacted their lives positively. It's so easy for people to be negative and find fault in charitable endeavors like that in retrospect. The buy 1 give 1 model is still going strong today with lots of companies.

I like the direction Wade Rosen is taking Atari. Hiring author Tim Lapetino as Creative Director fits well into that, I think. As for their classic systems, I'd love to see a Jaguar mini with full-sized Jag USB controllers, that would be awesome.

Found Doom 64 to be more like Quake than Doom really.
If TH-cam drop that 'redesign' on me I may actually crack.

Ah cool, I was wondering if the Windows 95 multimedia side of the PC-9821 was gonna be a separate video. Also, I dread ever having to use that TH-cam redesign...

I rarely interact with TH-cam through the website, so I don't see these random changes.

Hope atari remake a falcon.fully working, including the dsp, midi, 060 etc. Or the STe.

My layout is still the new style and I have reported it to youtube asking for it to be put back to normal. I hope they have noticed that I have not clicked on one suggested video in the new layout. This is only on my other DJLegion channel and LSW is still on the OG layout.

Bubsy got a new game a couple of years ago, released by the Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams-team. It was cherished for its short play length not going over 2 hours to get from start to finish, making it possible to refund the game if you bought it on Steam.

My guess is so you can read the comments and see the video at the same time, instead of scrolling to virtual infinity on some channels with the video wholly off screen.

The flaw I think with Atari milking the console segment is that they only had so many systems that actually sold in volume that warrant doing as much. The 2600 was pretty much the biggest, but beyond that was primarily the 8 and 16-bit computer market. The 400/800 makes a lot of sense to make a new mini console off of, and an ST mini would make a lot of sense (especially if done like a Falcon ST), but beyond that... what else makes logical sense? The 2600+ made incredible sense especially with the added value of playing 2600 and 7800 titles via carts. It made incredible sense in that they also are now reissuing carts for use on the 2600+ as well as the original classic systems. There's numerous money-making outlets. What else really though?
I could argue maybe the Lynx is the next best choice? It sold for well enough despite it's shortcomings in terms of battery life and screen quality back in the day. A modern Lynx could fix all of the faults (bigger, better screen; modern battery; energy sipping SoC running games in emulation off of carts like the 2600+). It could also give Atari a way to justify building new age Lynx carts similar to what they're doing with 2600/VCS carts for the 2600+; follows that same exact concept basically and tap into the gaming IP that system had, and perhaps even give outlet to a homebrew community to spawn if it supports something like cartridges. There's multiple opportunities to make money for Atari there so it makes incredible sense. It's just a matter of whether there's enough want or nostalgia for a classic handheld system like that. Could it spark enough interest? Or would the market rather see something like a new Gameboy Color/Advance? A new Sega Game Gear/Nomad? A new NEC PC Engine GT/TurboExpress? I do feel outside of the 2600+, the Game Station Pro (which feels like it overlaps with the 2600+ mission), and the 8 and 16 bit computers as mini-consoles, the Lynx is literally the last best bet. And even there I'm not sure if there's enough volume to really make it a massive success in the here and now.
Beyond that though... I think stuff like the 7800 by itself (why bundling it on the 2600+ and something like the Atari Game Station Pro makes sense) or the Jag is a massive stretch. I own a Jaguar but it was such a bomb that Kaybee Toys in the U.S. was basically doing a fire sale of consoles at $20 a pop U.S. They just wanted to get rid of them as they were clogging up space and costing them money daily the longer they had to hold onto them. The fire sale was real! LoL I bought 5 and gave 4 of them away as Christmas gifts. Clinically, I gave 5 of them away though my cousin's parents didn't want a console in their home so we kept it here and I just inherited it over time (their attention span with the Jag was short even as they were rabid for console gaming and to a point still are in their 30's; they have no real nostalgia for the Jag really) and bought a Jaguar GameDrive for it. The 7800 is arguably a better proposition but even it had a limited library of titles for it. I don't know that there's enough 7800 owners with nostalgia enough to make it a volume seller, and with Atari itself already making options to play 7800 games... it's kind of pointless. It'd just be basically an option shell around 2600+ guts.
To relaunch the Jag as a mini IMHO has less potential for sales than the Playstation Mini which kind of bombed. Granted, some of that was created by the choice of titles that Sony shipped with it out of the box but... in the end, the Playstation was a massive seller and it didn't really do that well when relaunched as a mini (and even with the ability to mod it and sideload the games you want to it). Part of me also feels like the Sony audience isn't the type that's purely built on nostalgia and is more built on progression. There's a lot of feel IMHO between the Playstation and XBox lines that it almost feels like both console brands are almost never-ending and as such while there's nostalgia for the games on prior consoles, there's more want for those games to be brought to the latest Playstation # or Xbox instead. If they "remaster" them as an updated modern title in a well-done fashion (hasn't always happened, sadly), all the better to those audiences. In that vain... it's not like Nintendo or Sega fans that wax nostalgic over Genesis/Megadrives and NES/Famicom and SNES/Super Famicom and N64's, Dreamcasts, Saturns, Game Cubes, etc.
The Jag, even done well with the best Jag titles available, IMHO would not sell enough to justify the costs to build it. And to be honest, as a Jag owner... why do that when they could just port the games to the new age VCS you've already put out? Maybe do a hardware refactoring of the new-age VCS to figure out a way to drop the price or upgrade the hardware performance (or both - either get a deal on cheaper versions of the original VCS APU or upgrade it to a similar APU from stuff like the Steam Deck and ROG Ally)? Or, why not bundle the Jag games on an ST mini and call it a day? That makes more sense to me. Include 8-bit, 16-bit and Jag emulators on a Falcon ST mini with a big picture front end with USB-sideloading of additional titles (like the 400 mini, A500 Mini and Maxi, C64 mini and maxi, etc.) and call it a day similar to the 7800 titles working on the 2600+.

I don't know about a full beard, but if you grew your moustache out, I suspect you might look like a 1980s Belgian pop star. Not sure if that is a look that appeals, but since you enjoy Eurovision, you never know.
