FOAMIE & BUCKETS: season 1 episode 199! We were able to get the Air Jordan 3 Mocha a couple weeks early and wanted to give you the first look at them. I've seen a bunch of different people saying that Jordan brand did a bad job on this retro as far as not recreating the OG that released in 2001. So I decided to make this video so you can see what they look like in hand, on feet, etc. I also discuss the quality and Jordan 3s in general. Check it out and see for yourself! MoaningLisa Just scooped these up at my local Nike Factory Store about an hour or so ago. It was the last pair in my size too, I got them for $150 after the tax. Funny, most of the Nike Store employees were giving me salty looks for some reason haha.

I remember when they released back then...there was an unwritten rule, if they wasn't a cw Mike didn't play in...they weren't getting bought..I still remember Champs had them marked down to 20$....

People complain too much. You’re never getting a retro that looks identical to the last, there’s always differences. And two, the old pairs are all yellowed out, and apparently Jordan didn’t paint the mid-sole on the 2001 pair. All in all. Either cop or don’t cop this ain’t about value, buy what you like. I always wanted a pair in 2001 but I was a kid who had zero money, now I got the 2018 release I’m happy!!

Some one who appreciates shoes for what they are. I caught some flak for the “hype” shoes I’ve bought so far. If i like them then I’ll get them, simple as that. These are honestly great shoes, if they were more limited then we’d hear a different tune.
Does it really matter if the details are the exact same as the OG? It looks excellent in the video and there usually are intentional differences in retro releases anyways.

I got these before going to live over in germany in 6th grade (army brat) and I was the only one that had them. For whatever reason, they didn't make it over to the base my mother was stationed at, and people tried to clown me for wearing fakes. Had me questioning my mall back home because I didn't see anybody with them when I went back to visit at the end of the year. They got reduced to play shoes/grass cutters but now I as an adult I get to redeem them for me! lol
I still have my OG’s the mid sole is cracking on them and I’ve been waiting so long for these to release. The OG was darker but I’ll still cop these because it’s my favorite Jordan of all time.
So... I had the 2001 release back in my sophomore year of highschool. It was my first Jordan I bought aside from my Raptors 7s as a small kid. The 2001 pair had a sail color midsole, and pull tab on back, with white, non tumble leather upper. Also, slightly lighter mocha color. I wish I still had my old pair, and have considered them a grail for many, many years as they were my first real Jordan I had and copped myself. However... the upgrades, like the tumble and white all over with sail laces is a nice way of making these as OG as possible, while giving us a few nicer touches than were used or thought of at that time. Tumble is in, and ages better. I always thought the sail hits on the OGs could have been white originally. I been waiting 17 years for a new pair, and am stoked for these to arrive at my stoop. Big ups, Foam. You're killin the game and I always watch before I buy.

These are actually looking like a cop. When they originally released I probably had 20+ pairs of j’s and thought these were trash. I never like 3’s with all white midsole. I’ve cut way back on buying kicks but I’m probably grabbing these

College Roomate had the mocha's. One thing I'll tell anyone interested in buy these... Wear them because even if you don't they will yellow regardless. Still to this day wear my 2001 bred's the best overall 11, and that year in particular is incredibly well made. Far better then what ur paying for in 2018

I have the OG pair and yes the mid sole has yellowed a little but it’s still in great shape for being 17 years old. Colors of the 2018 definitely look off. And when I say that what I mean is if you put the OG next to the 18 one looks fake. Swing and a miss for me on this one.

Mocha 3’s went down to $50 on Eastbay magazine back in early 2002. Quality was at its peak so you cant compare these. Still a dope colorway and must cop!

picked up an early pair as well, love the shoe. leather is better quality which is always nice. the mocha is a tad lighter in color but who cares? it's a great looking sneaker. if you sleep on these, you will regret it later on.
