- The latest LEGO ICONS set brings us the Classic Lamborghini Countach from 1985. This blast from the past gives us 80's kids a rush of nostalgia as we see it in the classic white and red interior. The scissor doors operate nicely and the rear hatch opens to reveal the V12 engine. Let me know what you think of this work of art. Will you grab one or zoom past it in the aisle?

Porsche - no question at all. The 911 model is on another level
This more expensive and bigger set has more studs exposed than the smaller speed champions one. Yes, on the rear spoiler.

I'd definitely choose the DeLorean, purely for the Back to the Future nostalgia. I don't remember the Countach from any specific 80s TV show or movie, but it seemed like it was in every police or detective show at least once. The LEGO model in yellow with black interior would have been cool.
The Countach was a pretty big player in Cannonball Run 1 and 2 especially in the first film’s intro. You should be able to find it on TH-cam. 😁

I agree. Red would’ve been perfect. But I’d of also liked yellow, blue or black. Shouldn’t be too hard to find external parts to customize the colour.
In the 1980s I watched Miami Vice and loved the white Lamborghini Countach in that show. So for me it's great to have this Lego model in white as well. But... Since we already have other cars in this series in white (Porsche 911), black (Chevrolet Camaro) and red (Ferrari F40 and Corvette C1) it would also have been nice if this Countach had come out in yellow, though it should be a different yellow than the Fiat 500 model. All in all, I think white is the best colour for the Countach.
Yellow would have been better, but white works. It looks pretty good! But Alex, come on, complaining about extra pieces!?! Just do the different builds, keep the one you like best and use the remaining pieces for mocs!

Great review as always Alex, and great display. Unfortunately I don't like the proportions of this model. It's too tall and it misses the slope at the front. The hood and windscreen should be in line with each other, and this model has a definitive hump. The doubled rear tires was a mistake, they should have gone all the way and made new tires. The white colour choice was the wrong decision.... I may pick this up if they offer another colour choice. The rear also has the wrong proportions in the side profile. The rear lights are incorrectly proportioned, way too big, even though they match the iconic triangle design. I feel they nailed it with the Speed Champions model more than this one. I hope a MOCer comes up with a better shape, I feel the Porsche to Lamborghini MOC that was made captures the shape better than the official model. And yes the price is too high for me as well. But all that being said, it was still a great review and I appreciate your reviews and your channel, keep it up!
100% agree with this. The Porsche rebrickable set was better than this and that didn't have the luxury of creating new parts. Lego must know so many of us collect this line of sets and would already have a white car from a few years ago. Why not make it yellow or some other colour we haven't got before?
From the first second I saw this model, something visually was feeling off....
I love it. I also think that Lego should have made it in another color, I would say Yellow. I actually built a small collection of the speed champions version in different colours, yellow, green, red, black and light blue.
What colour are your interiors in yellow and light blue versions of speed champion countach?
@@mykytaradko5776 For the yellow I went simply for black and on the light blue I though that a white interior would be sort of exotic.
If lego released different color versions of the countach, they’d sell a lot more. Seems like a no brainer.
Other toy companies do repaints etc, why can’t they?

Another set that will have a nice shade of yellow 10 years from now. It's really nice but I can't bring myself to buy sets with a lot of white bricks.

Tough choice, but I would still go for the Porsche 911.
6:06 All the other older sets are way better than this new one.
The Countach has no pop-up headlights, the wheels should better be white, the rear lights are way too big, and the spoiler has too many studs exposed.
Awesome job on the Review Alex - Looks great - Classic 80's icon for sure - Fun fact - The White Lambo Countach in the first Cannonball Run movie was John Schieder's (Dukes of Hazards) actually Lambo. They actually painted White with wash off paint without telling him.
That Countach MUST be white, it is a beauty (while the Porsche could have a different color for me...)! I'm not into collecting Lego cars that much - 😊but it is a perfect christmas present for my nephew 🎅

Great review! The only part that really bugged me was how the front seems to slope down a bit too sharply. That said, I think it looks great!

If I had to choose one, it's the Lamborghini. With that said, I'm happy that I was able to find the other 2 on sale at Best Buy online so eventually I'll have all three. 😁

Totally agree with the colour choice. Also agree that the lack of "alternate build" is a good thing as those are just price inflation packs, in my opinion so im happy to see all pieces going to the build.
Im just not a fan of the look! I think the proportions are out of whack, steering wheel is too low, rear lights are too big and with the price increase on this one, its going to be a pass for me! Unless LEGO can throw some 4x points on it or something 😂
Great Review! I’m not the biggest car guy, so I would prefer the DeLorean 1st, the Porsche 2nd, and the Countach last. The DeLorean for the Back to the Future nostalgia, and the Porsche because that’s the car my dad always joked was his dream car. The Countach is a nice looking model though.

Because on the camera it seems to me that the Porsche is rather "creamy" and not pure white colour. Which I actually do like, to be honest.
Probably because of the age. The Porsche has 3 years of yellowing on it

My first reaction was why on Earth is this white? It’s so off putting that I think I may pass on it entirely, despite loving the Countach.
Porsche is the icon! The other two are less accessible and not real.
An awesome kit, and I am hoping to get one for my birthday this year. Definitely agree about the colour.
The moc done with Porsche pieces looks better than official set.... To me lego countach looks ugly, much better the speed champion one. Price is ridiculous. My favourite sets are mustang and porsche and of course ecto 1, then Delorean. Love also the old F40. Corvette is quite ugly, same for Fiat 500 that does not looks like the real car, wrong shapes . Volkswagen beetle it s nice but even this one doesn't look similar to the real car. At these price i pretend something more.

I'm the opposite. These short reviews rarely go into any detail about the flaws. They're more like extended commercials
