This is a little bit different of a shopping trip today as I am on the hunt for things for my new home. First stop was Lynn's World Consignment Furniture store - I didn't expect to find all the cool things I found here!
Next stop was Ikea I give you the tour if you've never been!

Don't feel that you need to rush to fill your new home with stuff.
From my experience, I have found that it is better to live in the home for a while and pick up items as you find them.

You can make your own cabanas from xlarge hoola hoops and shower curtains and curtain rings. I made a fairy one with lights for my granddaughter.

We all make mistakes LOL!!!! I'm sure you are closer to exhausted than tired. You are absolutely amazing 👏 and handling things very well. You are also blessed by having the children and friends you have to help you get everything done. Love all your videos as I will never see half the treasures you have shown me in my lifetime. I am 64 and after today I do want to go to an IKEA store for sure 😅 The nearest one to me is 4-5 hours away🙂

I have a confession to make... I go to Ikea just for the meatballs 🤤 Sure the other stuff is cool but honestly it's all about the meatballs with lingonberry! I need those Bolero CUPS!!!! Please if they have them pick them up for me and I will gladly purchase. The consignment shop was fun but they were pricey! I am so glad you showed that curio cabinet because now I am grabbing that for my house!! LoVe the shop-a-longs you're making.
I've yet to try those but I keep getting told I must!!

I love IKEA! My daughter and I went a few weeks ago. I went just for the plants, lol. But I got real plants. Love their succulents!
Okay, I know this is weird but Ikea literally freaks me out. I've only been inside an Ikea twice and both times I left before buying anything. I don't know what it is- it's like it feels like I'm inside someone's house or a weird museum or something with the way it's laid out. I can't describe it. I know you love Ikea and I definitely see why (plus the prices are fantastic for what you get) but I just cannot.
I live within 5 minutes of one. I just don’t see the big deal; most things are apartment size and it doesn’t last.😕
My brother in law hates Ikea, he was overwhelmed and got lost trying to leave as fast as he could😊
It’s difficult to make money in consignment and antique malls. Don’t like them as much.

Get a catalog! If it feels like you're in someone's house, then they're displaying things right. If you do get a catalog, you can go see in person something you like for size ideas. I did this with a couch, and then ordered it.

I loved this shopping trip. That consignment store was wonderful! I’m always drawn to shades of blue things too. They had some beautiful stuff. I have never been in an IKEA since we don’t have one where I live. I’ve always wanted to go in one though. Thanks for taking us along! It’s always fun shopping with you!

Lowell Davis was an illustrator whose works were made into figurines. He also had illustrated books. Met him at a collector's show, approachable, meek man, dressed in his signature overalls. Had a storybook, illustrated with his chickens. At the time, had a house hen who was litterbox trained. He sketched "Queenie" in my book, and told me to collect the items you really like, not for what you think it may be worth one day. Think you will enjoy looking up his bio and all his farm animals. He had his farm town recreated in Missouri, where I think you could meet him. Just a great person

Danni ,I have never been to an Ikea BUT WOW I want to. The wood piece at the 1st store You said would make a good shipping table. If the height is right and you have room. They make a great desk. Sturdy and everything Computers and stuff for live sales will sit on it. You can put a little rolling cart underneath one side. FUN FUN.

Go to a salvage or reuse store on line also for your ares can buy thick old table legs glue with gorilla glue to toes long tables they have many to choose from and cheap they usually have tables desks etc.
Oval white Swirl bowl with iridescence is Artistic Accents made in Hungary. I have the dishes on ebay as we speak! Good luck on your move! So happy for you, the kids & your menagerie of pets ❤

So crazy how todays teens don't want to go out shopping often, my 19yo is that way. When I was a kid, I wanted to go, but my brother and I got left home all the time.

The cabana you were talking about for changing clothes by the pool, you can probably find at a Camping World store. When we were at the campground last year our neighbors had one with a porta potty to use at night

Buy Hulu Hoops, shower curtain and cotton rope and make your own changing station. The consignment shops and pricey. Figure the store wants 50% so the seller either loses more money than they want or the price is really high. That's why I can't sell anything in one. That makes me sad 😢 I'm glad Rachel went shopping with you. Mommy daughter day ❣️
I would love to go to IKEA with you. I love that place. I bought a whole set of knives there that I love. They are a well balanced, sharp with nice non slip handles. I also got my kitchen clock there too.

Not to be negative, but I’ve never gotten into ikea or desire to shop it. The products seem very low quality to me and way too simple. Guess I’m just old fashioned and want nice sturdy, high quality, long lasting stuff. But to each their own. And if you like it, then you go for it and best wishes in furnishings your new home, wish by the way I really do like.

You're never going to find a desk in those display cabinets..LOL No stink eye if one of the desk is for her. Your profit margins seemed pretty small this time. I loved all the glass items though.
Could you fashion a drop cloth to use instead of the see through curtains for changing areas.
The Johnathan Adler owl bank was dated 2021 not 2022 so its been there for a year now. Go back and get it! There aren’t any sold comps on eBay but the lion is selling for $50 right now.

Yahoo...more fantastic shop places...great finds and I have never been to an Ikea...so thank YOU!! I just recently saw a video of a couple who used Ikea a LOT in their MCI bus remodel...3rd one to live in...their perfect one..the cabinets closed well and all. You are such a sweet mom.

Loved that Eeyore is so adorable. I loved that iridescent bowl and the blue 💙 bowl too. Blue is one of my favorite colors too right after pink. I really liked this place especially the discounts. Such fun!!

Danni, I absolutely love the gray round leather seat at the 1:56 mark. I bet that is the most comfortable thing in the world and you deserve to have it. Just melt into it at the end of your busy days.

I believe that elephant trinket box with the earrings is by Torino. I have an owl mama and baby lid only, but it's a pin also. I've never seen inside an IKEA. Dang, looks like a museum. Do they charge admission to get in that bad boy? 😆
