definitely , honestly i quit the game because it was so p2w , and now with zenkai broly coming , it will literally ruin the game so i quit the game just yesterday but im going back to dokkan because it treats its f2p players waaay better than this game
Its P2W but u can make it far as f2p if u just save 7k cc for zenkais now in the game everyone is running zenkais. So rare characters like New legends limited become obsolete only the old lfs are worth it cuz zenkais r obver powered

With out a doubt, its unfair to play against someone with characters with way more stars than you. Its at a point where skill doesnt matter. Get caught with one combo and your dead meanwhile you cant even get one of their characters down bc they’re at max stars. And you’d think they’d fix the matchmaking in pvp but no...still laggy and unresponsive. 10/10

It's pay to win. You can have some fun but overall, once you hit 50+ it becomes frustrating for f2p players. It's a game built around gacha. Build a team is hard enough, but adding buffs for duping a rare unit is pure chance for f2p. Even dolphins struggle on ranked. It's annoying. Every game with pvp made by Bandai is either pay to win or dead.

@@smmshoe If you want to play the game without all the grind you can download modded versions to increase damage or all challenge complete during missions. Very usefull and makes the game somewhat fresh

@@smmshoe Google it, DBL mod apk and click idk.. Most of them work. I'm currently using blackmods but it's kinda laggy. I recommend happymod

Yes, it is, very often can get all my cards in a combo and deal maybe 1/4 of the enemies zenkai’s hp JUST TO HAVE THEM 1 SHOT MY UNITS AFTERWARDS it’s dumb

I wanted to start it but when i see players that already have 3 full Zenkai'ed Units in their team and i just have 3 Sparkings (Purple SSG Goku, and 1st Anni SSB Goku and SSB Vegeta)
How should new players get more CC when there are peoples on your first PvP battles with 3 or 5 Zenkai Units?

It is impossible to say that this game ISNT Pay to Win, I had to do a challenge in doing pvp , first match this guy had all the new legends , most were zenkai and he had S and Z tier Equipment.

First time I had a pvp match, my opponent had like Ultra Instinct Goku and Gogeta Blue, my best legend was ssj Goku.

It depends on luck kinda because you truly don't have to spend money because it can be a waste. But in some ways it's P2W (especially to get top ranking in PvP)
Definitely to be top 500 or better, arguably even 1000
you have a shelf life of 6 months with free CC. After that you only get few CC per month, and then slowly but surely your squad is getting out of dated and you can't pvp anymore besides beating noobs
@@smmshoe that’s very true. I’m a F2P player and I saw this happening to me a while ago. Since a few months ago DBL has been putting out almost to many LF’s in a short amount of time, my chrono’s couldn’t keep up, I had to grind Legends daily for almost 4 hours to even get around 600 - 800 cc’s. And because my luck is pretty bad, I didn’t get any of the LF’s at events (since UI Goku) whatsoever. One time I got lucky with the 100 cc weekend summon and got LF Beerus, but he’s outdated as hell. PvP is for me, above rank 34, impossible because of my old and outdated characters. I’ve stopped playing Legends because of that but I’m thinking about returning if there finally are some good events and much cc’s to grind.
@@donny5726 bro 4 hours per day. seems like fun time, but if the payoff is 800 cc, that is like 4% to get the new LF. bro that is like you work a 2nd job and at the end of the day the boss has 4% to give you a paycheck for that day. and sounds like you farmed tons of free CC, and now it is either pay to win or free to lose every match
This game is great but 100% pay to win. As an OG player that has played for free the whole time, I have got most of the LF units for free. If you want to do good in ranked pvp tho you most likely will have to spend a lot of money just to get stars for that character which is bull. If you think this game isn’t pay to win you are mistaken

Question the way to get a extra star is pvp and co op and exchange from the shop but u need to do ur daily to get points then to spend on zanki right

I just came back for Beast Gohan. I watched the movie and knew it’d be released. I got one and I’m broken and caught up again now. It’s been years and nothing changed, you spend money on chasing the meta, you waste your money.

Legends is super pay to win. I would think that rating match would be balanced and the characters would be fixed to a certain star level but no. If at least two or your main characters are not 7+ stars then your not going to make it very far in rating match. I have my god Ki team setup to have the best synergy and boosts they can have with all S tier equipment for all six of my characters and I still get clapped by whales online due to the fact that my characters don’t have a high star level at all. It’s frustrating because I try my best to even the playing field with with the best equipment but that hardly does anything. I have gotten destroyed by players that have horrible team synergy but still destroy me because there whales and all they need is one combo to destroy one character. Where as I need like 4 combos to kill one of there’s. Super annoying I use to love the game but I’ve grown to despise it and it’s sad I hope they balance rating match because that’s all I play and can care less about the rest of the modes 😢
DBL is so fun i always fough someone with goku vegeta tag 14 star ultra gogeta 8 star and ultra kaioken goku 6 star 😁🙏
Also i always get shafted everytime i summon and get like 7 hero 2 ex 1 bad sp so far i switch to dokkan its sure more fun.

So if you quitted DBL and you search a new game play these:
Bleach Brave Souls (Coop Gacha Game where you get Gacha Stones for leveling your Units also you can get over 100 f2p Units and yes they also give Stones)
Arknights (its a pure PvE Gacha Game where you also can beat all stages only with 3 Stars)
Why is this even a question. Legends constantly drops new banners and makes sure to leave out the events so F2P's don't have any cc's. A sure fire method for people getting tempted and pulling out their wallets. I've played this game since day one and I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that this game requires a constant investment of money.
Valid points. Just out of curiosity, being a long time player who is well aware of the tactics, do you still play the game just because you enjoy it or out of boredom or something else?
@@StormPow I still play the game because I love it. I've always been a huge Dragon ball fan and this game hits all the right spots when it comes to action and competitive pvp. But that doesn't blind me from the fact that Legends can be pretty predatory at times. I haven't forgotten when they dropped the VB/GT 2nd anniversary step up banners and didn't give us a single new event to farm cc's. I haven't forgotten how hard it was to accumulate any chronos when LF Broly and GB dropped. I've spent a lot of money on this game over the years and I'm well versed with all the shady things Legends tries to pull.
@@RS-kt6bo honestly I've played since day 1 aswell. It's been a struggle surviving every meta. Most of the time if I get shafted I quit for 3 months. It's honestly a pain. The only reason people play Bandai's games is because of nostalgia and liking the anime. Really sucks that they're basically the EA of anime games.

It is at the point that if you have a better characters you win. This game is p2w. I once lost to someone that doesnt even have a gears on his character but still manage to kill me in three combo but I barely do half of his health with seven combo with 3 Z gears. Another one is UL character. I just saw a lots of UL Vegito UL Gogeta and MUI with 4 or 5 stars. You WONT get this them if you f2p and this team is truly bullshit. You wont be able to hit them because they will counter you and you cant do nothing about it. This doesnt count about debuff that wont let you switch characters, delete all your cards, delete your vanish gate and much much more. Sometime you dont need to have skills all you need to have is money and easy win for you.

It's not even a question. Play pvp with f2p characters and you'll lose everytime even if you out play your opponent simply because they have the p2w characters. This has happened to me so many times, I'll be doing really well, they will catch me one time, use a blue and I'm dead install from full health. P2w - red androids, yellow kioken goku, purple ultra, red ultra, ect.

If you're a whale, you can be in a combo forever and it'll do a chunk or your health, but you get a f2p in your combo and they'll just die

I think zenkais actually made the game a little bit f2p friendly for older players , since they already got those characters above 7 stars and they can get it to z7 with 7k cc and it can be one of the best character. on the other hand 7k cc on any banner might get you the character you want but not viable for PvP (since at low stars)
Im f2p and i have like 10 lf's mostly from 1st or 2nd summons so its not that bad but there are times when im frustrated if i wanna get a few crystals and its sometimes pretty challenging
as much as it pains me to admit...i agree. And using training mode is an insult to your grind 'cause I want to use my current units as they are and all the battle scars we been thru together damet lol, not a teaser version of it maxed out - but what it takes to get my units maxed is unfair aka P2W AF...smdh. @Slim nah bruh...instead i just spent $100 on this damn 4th Year anniversary 😭 i'm already addicted at this point, i love the DB franchise too much and this game does a great job at doing justice to the anime, worth every penny minus the occasional PVP lag...if the prices were 50% cheaper i wouldnt mind the P2W bs at all, but they take advantage of us DB fans smfh (if you want to battle hmu! The 6th anniversary shows that the game is really p2w, there is an event where you get fusing tag teams but they have a 0.5% chance, so yeah dbl is p2w

Yeah its VERY pay to win now.. There is a guaranteed sparking summon for only 1 ticket. And you get 2 tickets for a whole 8 pound and the craziest thing for a consecutive summon for a legends limited. It cost 75 pounds. And you only have 21 tickets which is 75 pounds just for 2 legends limiteds..
In my opinion any game that has loot boxes or the ability to buy in-game currency with real world currency is always going to be considered PTW. Now game such as DBZL I feel are very PTW, BUT with that being said I feel they do something very few games do and that's, as you implicated, they a full story mode that gives players a chance to genuinely play through a real campaign and earn a great amount of currency they can use to build up their teams pretty quickly. I feel almost every single free to play game these days are 100% PTW. Unlike AAA games it's more accepted and kind of understood that free to play mobile games will do this to make money, but with DBZL I think they do a pretty good job of staying in the middle when it comes to overall fairness between players.

It’s pay to win I saw a freaking ultra gogeta with a ton of stars like a lot AND THE NEW MUI GOKU IS JUST FREAKING OP AND I SAW LIKE 7 STARS (NOT IN TRAINING BATTLES)
The game is unfair, you keep going up against max star Ultra that do the same combo games pvp needs to be fixed plus the unstable connection

This game is p2w no doubt whatsoever. I have been playing this game since it released (I'm f2p) and even though I consider my skill in game to be above average but they don't matter. Any new p2w player will just one shot my units in just one card not even a combo to the point it's dumb. If you're free to play i would recommend to not go too hard on the PvP because eventually at like 65 rank you'll just be running in p2w players with 14 stars on the newly released units. It's pretty fun on the other side of the spectrum including story and events and alike. BUT WITHOUT A DOUBT THIS IS A PAY TO WIN. IT'S FRUSTRATING.

Just because they have a “good amount of crystals” doesn’t mean they’re going to get shit with said crystals AND have enough for the ridiculously op zenkai that comes with WITH the Lf character. There have been TH-camrs who have saved up months just to get fucking obliterated on the banner they’ve been waiting for. That’s the whole point. The ratio of banners and crazy string meta changing characters they add (with the garbage ass rates) compared to the amount of content they release to get said characters is completely one sided and unbalanced. That’s what makes the game p2p.

@@smmshoe not at all actually, because in dokkan you can actually trade in coins for unique new characters and not having to only relying on getting the actual unit from the summoning banners
