  • Another segment of my free online course, how to use the Unreal Engine 4 to create your games and short films.
In this lesson, we see how we can add sounds to our project. First we create a sound cue for a random sampling of sounds, how we can use spatialization and reverb, and we finish with processing the audio with post-process effects.

Could be the audio spatialization that is not enabled? Also you have a reverb asset? Exagerate the effect to make sure things are working. Hope it helps!

any tips on how to change the filter effect via blueprint? I want to have the ability to press a button and change the filter amount, for instance distortion, etc.

You can get the Source Effect Chain from your audio component and set or remove audio presets but only change the distortion amount is something I can't find right now. It's also possible to do a Submix Effect Chain Override with your new distortion values and set it there. Hope it helps!

@@antoineflynn so unreal I found has a bug where you can’t change on the audio source the chain unless you restart the song. Simple solution. Stop the song, count time, and then play the song again with the new chain added. Counting in unreal was off I found if you just use a delay and then add to for instance a float. So I just set a timeline with 0/0, and then 999999999/99999999 and change my float as that value goes up for time. That’s how I can know how long time has passed for a song
