Kaivalyabeej Shu?: Yamniyam Sanjam - The Seed of Omniscience

Stanza 1 - English Meaning:
The aspirant observed restraints, regulations and self- control; he also resorted to acute renouncement as well as detachment. He adopted a forest life and observed silence and stayed firmly in lotus posture.
Stanza 2 - English Meaning:
While restraining the mind and regulating the breath, the aspirant tried to learn about the inner self; he also experimented with Hathyoga patterns of meditation and observed acute concentration. Moreover, he resorted to the various ways of chanting mantras, observed austerities, and adopted a dispassionate attitude at heart.
Stanza 3 - English Meaning:
He studied all scriptures from different points of view, made out the intricacies for setting up and for refuting the various viewpoints. Despite resorting to all such means on infinite occasions nothing concrete has yet been achieved.
Stanza 4 - English Meaning:
Why don’t you now bear in mind that something else remains to be done? No one but the true Guru knows the true essence; since truth lies vividly in face, what actually needs to be said?
Stanza 5 - English Meaning:
I feel compassionate to you; the Truth can be realized only through a true Guru. It vividly manifests within a moment when one develops sincere love for true Guru.
Stanza 6 - English Meaning:
One’s purpose can be fulfilled, when he heartily abides by the commandment of Guru physically, mentally, materially and in every other respect. The pure love for the Guru results in him enjoying the nectar of the Self.
Stanza 7 - English Meaning:
The Guru will show you the ambrosial truth lying four fingers away from the convergence of eyes; you will then get to sip the superb juice of the Soul. By sipping it you would live forever.
Stanza 8 - English Meaning:
When supreme love flows towards the Lord, one gets at heart the intricacies of all scriptural texts and attains self-realization; the enlightened persons term it as the seed of omniscience.
What is #Ajnabhakti?
A fundamental and important part of a seeker's spiritual practices is bhakti. One of the most essential components is Ajnabhakti, that is, a sequence of prayers ordained by the Guru, to be performed every day with great devotion. The noble intention of Ajnabhakti is to start each day of this priceless human life attained by the Lord’s grace, through connection with Him, extolling His virtues and conclude the day too with the memory of the boundless blessings bestowed by Him along with a sense of deep surrender. This facilitates an increase in one’s level of purity through the day and lifetime. This connection with the Lord and Guru ultimately culminates in connection with one’s Self.
