Yuichiro not being ranked is understandable since we don't have full fights from him to properly scale him against the other fighters, but Musashi was heavily hinted to being able to return in the future, so my guy deserves a special mention at least on top 5.

If we’re being realistic and comparing legitimate feat’s instead of contextual plot points and statements, like of course yujiro is top of the food chain because his whole character is supposed to cretic power and what really is and that won’t work if he isn’t Apex plus he’s Japanese.
But miyamoto literally beat Baki twice speed blitzing him both times and knocking him out for 30 minutes, and did all that while he was literally alive for like an hour after he came back.
Then fights yujiro without his original swords nor full mastery of his shadow blade’s technique and was on equal footing if not on better ground judging by how that clash went down.
Not to mention yujiro pulled out the demon back and only got 1 hit in compared to the three slashes musashi landed, also cut a demon back yujiro also would’ve killed him had motobe not stepped in do to the fact that motobe even stepped in.
His grip strength is comparable to hanayama which is insane, is equally as strong or stronger than pickle who even out muscle yujiro during his arc making him use a technique and musashi dropped him with a headbutt after doing a grip test.
Is equally as fast or faster than Baki by getting speed blitzed and speed blitzing each other, and by the end of their fights miyamoto’s foresight was so advanced Baki was getting everything he did countered to the point of wipping out a sword to make it even.
Never really lost a fight because even in his fight with motobe, motobe confessed himself that if musashi really wanted to he could’ve killed him 5 times already and apparently had already killed him “5 times.”
Plus we don’t truly know how strong he actually is because it was also said that miyamoto only gives out the same amount of punishment or damage that his opponents inflict on him, the closest thing we’ve see to him getting serious is when he was fighting yujiro with the demon back.
An the fact that motobe was absolutely sure that miyamoto’s final slash would’ve been fatal to yujiro should tell you something, hell the fact that motobe even jumped in to protect YUJIRO and the fact that he was so sure he would’ve died is a big point people miss.
Even looking at yujiros face during the panel he looks absolutely shocked that 1. Motobe even jumped in and 2. The sheer speed of miyamoto, remember Baki speed blitzed his father to the point of knocking him out for 3 seconds so who knows what would’ve happened had that slash got off.
Just remember miyamoto did all of that and his durability wasn’t even too teir, he had pretty shit durability and still beat monsters like doppo, pickle, Baki, hanayama, retsu is genuinely crazy.

Even in their official fight Baki didn't even use the demon back just like with pickle but he was still pushing Mushashi. Plus I hate when people use that one panel of Motobe jumping in and "saving" Yujiro. Yujiro was quite literally smiling the panel right before Motobe interfered, and you think an attack that couldn't kill motobe would kill Yujiro with his demon back activated?

Its very possible Kaku can simply walk up to Pickle and stop his heart with a single punch. Yujiro was shellshocked and had to dodge before he figured out a counter.

I really hope for Baki Rahen to give us fights between the big powerhouses like Hanayama, Oliva, Jack,Pickle.
Just a simple beatdown to see who's the strongest, that's what everyone wants to see.
For me Hanayama and Katsumi have to go higher at some point since the are the new generation like Baki representing brawling and classic martial arts. Both of them were called genius just like Baki on many occasions and since they are so young the should have the biggest potential to grow.

Putting my money on Katsumi and Pickle getting some cool shit in the new arc simply because they have some setup. Pickle getting bigger yet somewhat more civilized is a cool thing to riff on with Jack's style getting more and more primal, and regarding Katsumi, there's no way that's all we'll get from the Retsu arm right?
Yujiro is pure plot armor. He will be untouched until the author is declaring a hiatus on the manga or ending the series.

even tho i have all my stocks in jack as well i defo dont think hes on bakis lvl. comparing their performance against sukune, jack had to basically prep for that fight learning what parts of sukunes body to take out with biting and even taking out his finger b4 the proper fight while baki literally no diffed him in 1 attack. i still agree he's 3rd just not on bakis lvl yet (tho i do think he will improve a lot as his arc goes on)

Dude kazumi is lowkey underrated he’s has a naturalish development lmfao. He doesn’t get ridiculously strong but he doesn’t stay weak he constantly makes up for his weaknesses. I want him though to master boxing next. Chinese martial arts can wait it’s something I think he could practice from the beginning like retsu did to fully unlock the arms potential. I actually believe he will. Well, most likely because his fanbase is growing pretty fast, and the writers notice that. I think in a fight against pickle he will win. And I believe after what we saw, like him getting even taller, more "jacked" and his bigger neck, just knowing he trained it because he saw the strength in it on pickle, who didn't get a concussion by taking hits to his chin, and his new titanium teeth. Jacks not natural and we all know that, but he is a beast that was built.

Who I would put like 4th ish, definitely well below Yujiro as his some did what he did but against a far more advanced USA while only a teenager. Baki is near Yujiro and Musashi is near Baki so he has to be at most 4th. It’s also pretty clear he wasn’t as driven or skilled as Yujiro or even Baki.

Hanayma did good against Musashi, of course he could never beat him because Musashi is just WAY too fast for Hanayama, but very few people impressed Musashi as Hanayama did, Musashi was in awe all the fight thinking a man like Hanayama exists. Also how is getting one shotted by Yujiro a bad feat at all? Yujiro used a lot of strenght with Hanayama, its not like when he sent Oliva flying, he sent Karou flying throught a whole street, inside a store and just stopped after crushing throught 4 big shelves, literally anyone except probably Pickle would be one shotted by that and the reason why Yujiro used his real strenght is because he respects Hanayama. He used less strenght against Sukune and one shotted him, he could do the same with Oliva anytime and would need half the strenght to one shot Katsumi who is a bit overrated tbh... Scaling feats using Yujiro makes no sense with weaker characters, because Yujiro could potentially one shot everyone if he uses all his strenght but could also not one shot if he is not serious, it literally depends on his mood. It was pretty clear how strong Yujiro hit Hanayama compared to Oliva or Sukune.

Motobe is the batman of the series, given enough prep he could beat most fighters
Both Defensive and Offensive Shaori is too powerful for Kaku to be so low on the list. Unless you can prove the character can counter Shaori, Kaku has to be above them. Motobe would lose because he’s not nearly as strong as Musashi who could slice through Shaori. Katsumis win conditions are directly countered by Shaori. Kaku praising his growth isn’t a feat. Hanayama certainly can’t beat Shaori.
Kaku isn’t letting himself get held. He’ll use Shaori to punch which will be brutal to most people in the series.
I’d say Kaku is in the middle of top 10 to this day. He still hits harder than basically everyone but Baki, Yuijiro, and Pickle.
Sumo guy is gonna come back fasho. The Samurai guy is gonna come back it’s hinted but after yujiro is gone(it’s implied yujiro is gonna be replaced by someone as the strongest in the world hence why pickle and musuashi never have a real fight with him. It’s so whenever this new character comes in they can fight or they refight Baki win and gives Baki a training arc and nerfs Baki to make him the underdog again

You guys must not see the manga but it’s gotten to the point where yujiro isn’t know for the strongest anymore but as a internet sensation. He’s gotten fans. Before was followers buts now it’s just fans. Baki however is grown bored like yujiro is. Jack arc is coming too. It’s implied the jack arc is there to rival Baki power since those two were the last two at the maximum arc. If jack is Baki rival where does that leave yujiro? Notice how pickle is set up at this old being but jaku stated he wanted to train him. This implies that pickle is around Baki and kazumi age hence why he respects and builds a friendship out of them but also why he fears jack another rival. Also Hanyama fought yujiro for the same thing bc he was bored . Yujiro however is now not bored. He’s more so nervous due to all the fame he got . It’s basically implied it’s the next generation turn. Doppo yujiro and the rest are tamed now. They find joy in simple things fighting isn’t all that anymore to them. The rest? They want or more so need to fight. There’s gonna be one last big fight before a time slip

No way Hanayama is above Kaku Kaioh. Neither is Oliva or Sukune. People forget that Kaku was hanging with Yujiro with the demon back for a while. Oliva and Sukune will get one or two shotted. Katsumi is only ahead of Kaku in super sonic punch, he doesn't even know Shaori.

For the fight against Jack, I know Jack was the one inflicting damage but if we really want to argue which version of Nomi was more injured it had to be the Jack fight, all he did was eat Sukune and Sukune was bleeding out, against Oliva he had a lot of time to recover and showed no weakness apart from the pinky he lost which he also didn’t have against Jack
