- EAM Jaishankar’s big statement on PoK, underscores commitment of its return as part of India
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on May 8, while speaking in an event in Delhi University’s Gargi College, reiterated India’s stance on PoK. Jaishanakar said that after Article 370 is put at rest, now people understand the importance of and once it is in our thoughts, it will happen at some point of time. Jaishankar said, “People assumed that 370 cannot be changed, that’s something that we all hato accept. Because poltics of the day had driven it the public consciousness. Now we have changed it the entire ground situation changes. So, all I can say with respect to PoK that there is a parliament resolution. Every political party of this country is committed to ensure that PoK which is a part of India, returns to India. I didn’t used to get this question 10 years ago or even 5 years ago. It is when we have put 370 to rest, now people understand and think that PoK is also important. I think in the minds of our own people the PoK issue has come to the fore-front. Once it is in your thought the rest will happen at some point of time.”

What about what's China been salami slicing. Former Army Chief Naravane has admitted wr lost 2000sq km to China in Ladakh. And many many more during Nehru period. I do not think there's a way of getting them back. Not without a full scale war. POK may join us naturally, but do we really want it. The people there may join India in hopes of a better future, but Pak won't allow it. And by some compulsion, let's assume it does happen. Does India want to absorb a huge muslim population that will add fuel to its fire of domestic vote bank politics. And as far as reclaiming from China is concerned, India has no plan. US would love to add some fuel to this fire as it will benefit them, but they wouldn't allow it to be resolved fully considering how they like to milk others for their growth. This will eventually become a problem if China continues to slamming slice and India will have to act at some point, when that happens, Indian leadership will.have to take risks and send the forces to occupy in areas where China is not looking. That way China comes to the negotiating table with something they have lost and want it back. At the moment, it's India that wants something they ahev lost tp China. The tables need to be turned and so we can force China into asking India for something in return for what they will return. It's the oy way forward. Hope India can produce really level headed strong leadership with nationalistic vision. It's a rare quality in any democratic country these days. Not only rare, patriotism and nationalism are bad words in most developed western world. So it means India will be the new Israel hated by Gen Z media and politics within and outside. Long story short, it gets harder playing the waiting game.
Watch and observe Indian foreign policy while you grew old , India good at adapting in geopolitical turmoil...pok will be used for connecting corridor to connect with central Asia which will be shortest trade route..for aksai chin it will be biggest challenge for India...India is focusing on itself not to involve in anykind of war

We see no desire from Modi administration to recoup PoJK. Capturing land, cleansing it from criminals, intruders and non-bonafide intruders is law and order responsibility that Government is failing in J&K, Bengal, Kerala, Delhi and more than 15 crore illegal migrants reside in India reducing it to banana republic. Including your government has provided free ration to these jamaats, tablighis, rohingyans, bangladeshis can be found doing anti-constitutional activities that police refuses to prosecute!!

Although this is a necessary talk as it refreshes memories but it is still just all talk. POK is no longer important for Pakistan but for China. Any action for taking POK back requires fighting and defeating China, which is an impossibility as we cannot even take back what China grabbed during Galwan's incursion, leave apart Aksai Chin.
