- There are MB W221 Becker logic 7 amplifier repair video. It takes me around 8-10 hours to complete one amp till finish.
This is just simple repair. Usually they are more complicated repairs, and most cases not repairable if any one clean dust and plug back to the car.

thanks friend, thanks to you I realized that 3.3 volts are present only when an optics signal is received. I repaired the amplifier, it turns out the previous master removed the resistor and the transistor was always open, despite the commands from the block of Lodzhik

Little ic L5973 is the 3v3 generator. The output pin is low. Seem defective! But liitle bit of soot\oxydation can disturb Vref

I there. Fantastic work!!! I am a very well experienced technician too. I have one of these amplifier in my shop. It is not heavily corroded. I need a new little inductor maked 1H0, 1 uH. I need to know the exact specifications of the inductor, especially the ampere spec, etc. This part is near your shorted line on your video, just aside the capacitor ‘ short!’ Indeed.. I have managed to find a used inductor from an old playstation console to follow my test. I did full voltage testpoints and i am not getting the 3.3volts at trigger show light into optical input. I have discovered that the signal is well trigger by testing voltage near the little red connector ( just above it). I get a strog 5volts dc when i am showing the light onti optical. It seem that little glass diode ( seem to be germanium type , some kind of zener 3.3volts diode that generate the proper 3V3 power… It is difficult to manage without wiring diagrams with information of theses littles parts… ;)

there’S two little smd rectangular piece , nammed L4, seem to be minuscule inductor coil or maybe ‘ link’ , I cannot find anything on theses parts… thanks for you time pal

Where about in the uk are you, ive got a s320cdi with harman kardon sound system and ive got no sound at all the navigation starts but not sound and also the radio stations dont show up and ive been told the amp is faulty.

Today my cabin filled with smoke coming from R passenger door. Unfortunately, this is 5th failure I’ve had with the HK systems in 16 MBs I’ve had over years. Always needs new Amps and speakers. What is the issue? Love my CLS 550 but close to 100k I unfortunately wasn’t surprised. Suggestions on as to completely retrofit entire speaker / amp system ???? Thanks
if smoke comes from speeker so definetly amp gone. not seen this yet :) retrofit very hard for this systems.

hi, you not gonna find schematic for harman device. Optical part can be used only from donor board.

I tried fix my amplifier. I haven't got 3.3v, any idea, where I should look? Electrolyte capacitors ok, no ide about ceramic on, haven't got any diagrams. If I put light on voltage is going about 0.6v only

Well i managed to try to repair one of this amplifiers, with missing 3.3V and shorted OASYS IC, by replacing all smd pars near LB 3.3V IC and OASYS chip, but now amplifier is getting the right voltages and fan start for short then stop, and see red flashing light when i get close with a flash light on the MOST Connector. Amplifier gets arround 700 miliamps from power supply when gets light , but still not working when connected in the car. Do you have ideea what could be wrong? Thanks.
did you replace oasis with new one? or used one.
@@PORepair Used one, i know that if i use a new one , it must me programmed! I think is something wrong with another device in the car. Im not sure if in the car on fiber connector shoul be red light in one way, and white light in the other way!? I see only red light on unplugged one of fiber optic but nothing in another one.

Are you saying I shouldn't remove to clean the dust? I thought that was good for it.
If its all ok and smd components have no damage/rust yes thats fine. But to see you need microscope.
If amp already not working better not to clean it and connect. Posibility after that to repair it very low.
@@PORepair My amp has no issues. Should I clean it or not? I am trying to prevent issues.
@@kevin9c1 yes 100%, clean it if it have dust inside. And buy pcb lacquer spray 2-3 layers top and buttom side of pcb.

What would make the fan run after the car is off?
hi, FAN should run from 40-5min after ignition off, this is normal
@@PORepairany idea what else could be my parasitic drain on this car? Was fine when driving regularly, but when it sits for a few days the battery is too dead to unlock the doors, had the battery and alternator checked, no issues.

thanks for sharing your insights. You miss out the crucial part (vertical board) and your heat gun intensity is much too high so you have to resolder those tiny components again and putting additional stress on them. Probably because it seems you did not pre-heat the board. A lot of heat will dispensate through the big layers of copper. Sorry to say despite your efforts but this repair is waste of money for the end client
Hello thanks for comment. I am not missing any think there. Its just simplest repair on them. I do as well vertical boards. This kind of repair is always waist of time. So all its about costumer if his want buy new or repair old.

Looks like too much useless work was done… The problem was in capacitor, why did you change everything around?
All other component usually rotten and damaged. So i just change them to prevent and have at least 1 year warranty.
