  • CHLORINE DISINFECTION
An overview of the chlorine disinfection process used in the treatment of wastewater is described in this WWTP operator training video - one of a series of training videos by Water Engineers for the Americas & Africa (WEFTA). These WEFTA videos feature insights from hands-on wastewater treatment plant operators and cover specific treatment processes. The intent is to help operators, engineers, and others better understand key operational and maintenance considerations for each treatment process step.
Ultimately, WEFTA's goal with these training videos is to help communities achieve improved protection of their local water resources, benefiting the people and broader community of life who depend on them. A special thanks to Mark Olson, creativity media manager for Tarrant Regional Water District, the City of Springtown, and John Bennett and other Trinity River Authority staff for making these videos a reality.

In Water treatment.. Cl2 or free chlorine is very common oxidation, it can be used as very effective secondary disinfection , residual in the distribution system. Ihbitbit the organic matter to regrowth in the distribtion system.
In germany monochlorine or chloroamine is not allowed hahaha but in USA it widly used its looks like the german dont like chlorine hahaha.
As oxidation for inorfanic it is very effective to to oxidized Fe/Mn/HS/NH4 then we can removed it by filtration. But unfortunately that Cl2 with NOM form by productslike HAAS THM, so in germany the used or prefer Clo2 as Cl2 but stille depend on applications.
    Thanks for this video
