My buddy clayton failed 2 times to pull out one of his dumpsters he dropped in someone's yard. He buried his truck and had to call someone twice to make the hour drive to pull him out. Luckily, on the 3rd time he was able to get out with the help of some mulch and plywood!

Invest in polymer ground mats. 40ton and 80ton rated weight 90lbs. Worth the investment.

That's exactly why I never put a dumpster off the pavement. If the customer and says I make him sign a waiver stating that they'll pay for the tow and any damages caused to the ground and surrounding areas
In this situation what I do is put my truck in reverse and winch at the same time, it stops the digging for the most part
Believe it or not we did. But the winch then started to drag the dumpster instead but not enough to get it lined up correctly.
I sold my refuse company 4 years ago last November. I dont miss this shit in the least. We had 5 roll off trucks on the road and 3 rearload garbage trucks. This shit happened to us constantly. After about the 1000th time it happened, we put in a policy for driveway delivery only. Its how ya learn I guess.

All you guys need is a set of 2x12x14’ boards for each dumpster & set it on the back rollers when you offload it next time.
We had that but ended up dragging them off while trying to winch yourself back to the dumpster. Then the dumpster wouldn't budge.
I had something like this happen to me about a week ago. But I was jackknifed and 50/50 in the street. So fken stressful!!!! Wrestled the thing for a good 30 min. Slightly bent the rail on the dumpster a bit, but thank god I got it out safely and with minimal grass damage. My boards slipped out from the back wheels and were dragging in the mud causing my rig and dumpster to become all crooked. I was going to talk to Clayton @rollingops about this video when I met him last week at Keystone, but homie was running around shaking hands and kissing babies. But that will be the first and last time that will ever happen to me. It was a terrible but great learning experience. Now they want 2 more dumpsters in the same spot. Im scared, lol.
have you ever had the dumpster hop off the rails? I was doing a drop off on my maxxd and i was on a slight incline where one side of my trailer was just evr so slightly higher than the other side and my dumpster basically hopped off the trailer and almost flipped off the trailer. It was really bad but luckily had some people to help. Any recommendations on dropping the dumpster or how to get out of a situation where the dumpster completely hops off one side of the trailer?
Man, that sucks going through that. I always check the weather and the ground before placing my trailer and truck on anything other than a hard surface. All my trucks have been 4x4. Thank goodness I haven't gotten stuck yet. Thanks for the vid.

Don’t ever break your own rules for a customers. Those are not the customers you want.
You can say that again
Use 2x6s for the rear rollers and use a 4x4 in the front on a cross beam that way the dumpster is sitting a little off the ground so its easier to get it on the trailer.
Believe it or not there are beams under the dumpster but it got so wet after days of raining that the beams sunk down as well. Absolute mess

Yes, video doesn't do it justice, this was a swamp and the rear rollers of the dumpster were submerged at one point.
You should have sat it on trench plate and laid trench plate down to take it out.
Or those 8 or 10 in thick mud mats, like Chris at let'sdig 18 uses when he's traveling across muddy areas like Lake bottoms.

Well done boys that was a pain in the ass I hope the renter of the dumpster helped out with whatever extra cost you had for the materials. I guess the moral of the story is to not drop off in a yard especially a wet yard.
If there is a nextime. Don't buy plywood get pieces of rugs.
All you had to do is lay so chains down in the ground and make a path to drive on or hook the which up with a chain and drag it out either way.

I'm this case it sucked but I wouldn't say its a bad idea.
Assuming bins are cheaper than trailers, prob not as prone to being stolen , no bent frames, lots of benefits
