"Worrying is like praying for something u dont want to happen".... I love that. It puts worry into a whole other perspective and makes it seem so counterproductive

Wow, I just told a client this yesterday. He uses language like "try, maybe, we'll see, hope so". I told him that with that language he always gives himself a justification for not succeeding . LOVE the way you explained this and totally agree!

I love this topic and talk about it from time to time with one of my buddies. I said for years in conversation that I want to be somewhere where I don't need a car. Well, I've been in South America for the last 6 months without a car. I enjoy walking and taking Ubers. There's other things that have happened in my life that I said I WANTED to happen and those things came to fruition. Speech is powerful. Everything is energy. The energy we put out is the same we receive. Thanks Orion for sharing your thoughts on this topic!

God was the first one to show us that words are meant to be used intentionally because they create a physical outcome. E.g. when he said “let there be light” and there was light. He used words

@@Makewicz It's still words, and speaking to someone who does not get it, is seriously detrimental, so I think ContrarianExpatriate is correct. This is why I avoid speaking about such things, at least to certain friends. One great example. I would constantly tell my friend that I was worth more than 80k in any new job. He disagreed with me, and told me to have lower expectations, which seriously pissed me off. First of all, I have experience that makes me valued like that. Second, he was not getting it. Later on, I got a job at 85k... Which kinda stumped him out a bit. He was like, wtf, really? Yes, really bruh. I know what I'm worth. So idk perhaps he will get it some day, but I really don't want to be slowed down by peeps like that.

Words are powerful Dr. Orion so as our mind.2 or more years ago I talked to someone I want a beautiful home and got it last year 🤗. I said we want to have business then we got it also but thats temporary bec my health suffers but I still want my
dream business to fullfil once I become well again 100 percent I'm just relaxing and give myself a break. I believe words are powerful it can break or build someone or even ourselves depends on the quality of our thoughts .
I read a book by Charles Capps
entitled The Tongue -A Creative Force. The Words governed by spiritual law become spiritual forces working for you. Idle words work against you .

This imbues words with properties they do not have. Minds may make commitments using words, but can also abrogate the commitment with words.
Do people who talk for a living overvalued words and their use compared to those who take action for a living? Ti what extent is financial interest in tallking or wordsmithing a factor? Has such a phenomenon been enhanced by audio media like radio, television, and movies.

I like to read philosophy and wisdom literature. Texts in the latter category are generally associated with specific religious traditions (Christianity: The imitation of Christ; Hinduism: Bhagavad Gita; Zen Buddhism: Everyday Zen), and the Stoics (Epictetus, Seneca, Marcus Aurelius) are my go-to philosophers.
