17 videos down, 13 to go😅 This was an ambitious project for me but I’m committed to finishing it because there are so many great albums yet to cover! I hope you’ve enjoyed the series so far. The best way you can support a small channel like mine is dropping a like on the video! See you tomorrow :)
This album is the best emo album of the 2010's in my opinion. The whole album is so cohesive and creates the perfect vibe for every 20-35 year old young man to relate to. New Scream is also a perfect song.
As someone who lived through 90’s 2nd wave emo in college and who HATED 2000’s emo haircut mall rock, I never wanted to hear the word emo ever again. So when I came across this record, I COULD hear some of that in it and it kept me from fully embracing it. But I was deep in a dream pop phase and I found myself coming back to it. It’s the perfect meshing of the aching emotional content with the spacey/shoegazey aesthetic of dream pop, and that turned out to be kinda perfect for me. I have struggled to get into anything by the band from before or after this record. I saw one of my fave dreamy bands Yumi Zouma open for them a couple years ago, and Turnover didn’t do much for me live. This is a true one album wonder.
One of my favorite albums of all time, in 2017 I experienced my first bout of depression and this album was like a warm blanket helping me adjust to darker and deeper emotions
MAN I fucking love this album. Literally sounds like a dream. The fuzziness and whirring of the guitar sound ahhh I get chills with every song, it's nuts. Closest band I'd listened to at the time this came out (with any similarity to this sorta shoegazy vibe) was Silversun Pickups, but Turnover's take on this style felt farrr more up my alley. Like an emo-shoegazy piece 'o gold
When I first heard Turnover they were supporting Moose Blood and I thought they sucked then a while later my GF asked me to give them a chance so from my break from college I sat down and listened to this album I was like this is pretty good and the more a listened the more I loved it like every Turnover project and now this is my fav album of all time
Hey man been loving the series and pretty new to the channel. Ever messed around with direct hit!? I realize this probably isn't the best vid or place to ask but was curious of your opinion on them if you ever got the chance.

For me, Transit's "Listen and Forgive" is a masterpiece

Yesss, Peripheral Vision and Good Nature always put me in a good mood, I just love the sound of those albums.
Magnolia through good nature was such a good run

One of the best albums that came out of the 2010s. I would say it’s on par with On the Impossible Past and The Greatest Generation for me.

The most stunning album I ever heard in my life and also one that makes me cry whenever I hear it

Thanks for joining the channel! You may get your wish before this series is over 👀
Im actually not a big fan of the opening track. I prefer the second half of the album tbh.
