I know it’s more boring that way so skip to 13:47 for the actual outfit 💃
@Volomette Yeah, how on earth did that get 1K likes??? (Probably the most impactful thing I’ve ever done.) And yet no response? Okay, one response, about there being no responses.
You make it seem like Mary wore a live tiger when visiting the pool. Not everything was enforced fur and delicate strong fabric elegance beyond, their was summer sportswear of which was light and breathable, you wore layers which made underlayers cooler by shade and large covering. Wearing a large white jacket over you will cool you off even when it is meant to warm you. They didn't just make the outfits out of stupidity, everything was thought through...except racism.

Also, your sports-wear outfit is so cute, honestly. Even if it doesn't turn out perfectly (according to you), I still learn so much from the details you talk about and try to incorporate.

Hi Karolina, I've heard about the recent court ruling on abortion in Poland and the subsequent protests, and I just want to say that I'm really sorry. What with this awful erosion of your rights and all the covid stuff, I hope that life isn't getting you down too much. Your videos are such great escapist content for so many of us, so thank you and also I hope you're getting your own daily dose of escapism as well. 💕
@OrganicOrganist If I'm not mistaken, the protests against the new abortion ruling have been absolutely massive, which shows that there is actually a mountain and not just one made out of a mole hill by western media as you suggest. Of course, I do agree with your point that western countries (especially the US) shouldn't try to push their own standards onto other countries (like they've been shown to like doing in the past) but in this case it seems like an issue that a lot of your people were already passionate about. I concede that there are probably Poles who are fine with the ruling and current government, but I bet there are also a lot of people who do find it all terrifying like I said in my previous reply. Particularly my LGBTQ+ peeps and women who care about their bodily autonomy.
Karolina I hope you are okay, we got horrible news for women and other things from Poland and my mind went to you and a Polish friend of mine. Love from Italy and love the video

That was simply lovely. I do love the line and cut of Edwardian clothes. You've done a fine job and captured the look very nicely. You do have such a regal air about you, even when playing in the leaves. I can just picture you cycling about on your bicycle, or strolling along the boulevard. As for talking about your sewing, I thought it a lovely method. I have spent years at my sewing machine, therefore for me, I need not the view of you sitting and swearing at yours, as I have so been there myself. When I sew I want no one around, and no interference, for I become a perfectionist of the highest order. My mood is one of entire concentration and singularity of focus, thus I have always envied those who find sewing a relaxing occupation. Maybe if I had done it for the fun of it and not as a means of income, I might have looked upon my work much more favorably. I am now retired, and will admit, I do from time to time pick up my needle and sew for enjoyment. My machines however have yet to be unpacked from our move, but this project of yours has made me think, it is high time I got them out and oiled them.
I love the V&A’s textile and outfit collection. They have great fashion exhibits! Great outfit as always it shows how much care and dedication you put in your projects
The matching beads and earrings with subtle tire tread design and everything matching your glasses is so harmonious I almost didn't hear Chopin in the background!
You know from a properly socially distanced distance it looks just fine. I can't believe you got such a beautiful, functional jacket from just draping it! That's amazing and I'm ever in awe of you pro sewers.
When I heard about the situation in Poland, I immediately thought of you and the women in your country. You really are a spark of joy in a very dark situation, meme mum, and we all are very lucky to have your contents. Besides, have you watched the Queen's Gambit? 'Cause they have... interesting ideas about fashion and hairstyles during the 50's and 60's ❤️
You're looking wonderful, Karolina 😍! Thank you for a new history lesson of clothing from another time period! After watching this, I will read about what's going on in Poland; Germany is "right around the corner", and I haven't seen much about what is going on in Poland so far in our media! Such a shame, mainly getting news on U.S. elections 🙁!
I'm so jealous of your frolicking in the leaves! There are too many people who don't pick up after their dogs where I live, it's too dangerous to assume one can frolic in the leaves on the ground. I also love the fabric, and the suit you made from said fabric.
This may sound cliche, but as an American I love how much you care about your country. Like, you always talk about Poland, its history, its present, and I just really appreciate seeing someone who loves where they're from while still admitting their "country is on fire right now" 😂

And at first I wanted to do a Lolita and golf outfit but wasn’t having much luck finding ideas to work with. But this Edwardian golf outfit is a the best starting point.
I would have liked to see you sew it but I understand just wanting to get it done. Beautiful coat and I always like how you incorporate old photos to show what you're making. Thanks!
Thanks so much for the chill historical content :) The time & talent you put into the finished outfit is impressive. I'm praying that your friend will be better soon.
I just started my period and it 5:22 in the morning and I want to sleep but I can't cause it hurts so thanks for helping me take my mind off of everything.💚

I think the jacket looks fine : ) But when things arn't as we imagined or didn't work out quite right it's hard to look past that sometimes.
Nostalgia is such an odd feeling, especially when I wasn't alive during this time period. This was amazing! I think it makes the outfit more realistic with the tiny imperfections meme mom! It brings it to life

Well when there is no role for women than mother allowed in a society or government It's not much of a surprise this sort of thing would happen.
Stupid Kaczyński, Thanks to him I can't even WEAR something rainbow in Rawa mazowieczka because that would be interpreted as supporting lgbt.
I'm Czech, here we talk about it a lot and support the protests.
What happened?
@@galactopiranosa long story
Thanks for the support pal! ❤️ Situation in Poland really, dramatically needs more international attention ⚡
*Waving hello from the USA which is also a crazy, worrying place these days.*
Your suit looks great!
I just loved her choice of the dark green shirt with dark orange/ brown accessories.
Sweetie, fabulous, and ll your critiques seemed spot on, so you’re on to something good. 53 yr old male here in Cleveland ohio usa who’s been following you for the last year at least. Your stuff always bring s a smile to my face. Wish i had a golf club I could send...God bless. Kg
Your artistic eye and adventurous spirit are an inspiration to women around the world.
Karolina: talking about her dress
Me: are her earring made out of chocolate?
I think it is either wood or plastic?!🤔😂
They look both delicious _and_ lovely.
i did a double take & spat tea so thanks ☕️ lol
This hairstyle and the colour of the ensemble fits you beautifully !!
The skirt moves so beautifully! It's a gorgeous suit.
You know from a properly socially distanced distance it looks just fine. I can't believe you got such a beautiful, functional jacket from just draping it! That's amazing and I'm ever in awe of you pro sewers.
So chic. I hope this look makes a comeback
I’d love to see you recreate a 1918 pandemic look with matching facemask
Love and support from Northern California! Thanks so much for all the videos, they have made this Annus Horribilis more bearable.
What a gorgeous dress you created! And the video at the end was quite enchanting!
I wasn't a fan of history but after watching karolina's channel for 2 weeks i now love history
Karolina you inspire me to sew different era clothes and your taste in vintage clothes is impeccable love your vlogs
I'm so jealous of your frolicking in the leaves! There are too many people who don't pick up after their dogs where I live, it's too dangerous to assume one can frolic in the leaves on the ground. I also love the fabric, and the suit you made from said fabric.
The cap is great. Dark brown finish on sleeves and pockets adds a lot to the whole outfit!
Beautiful! And kudos for wearing a coordinated mask too:)
girl you are so inspiring! I think you are super funny as well 😊 I love how you express your creativity!
I hear Mozart in the backround🥰🥰🥰🥰
This may sound cliche, but as an American I love how much you care about your country. Like, you always talk about Poland, its history, its present, and I just really appreciate seeing someone who loves where they're from while still admitting their "country is on fire right now" 😂
I think the whole out fit is beautiful, you are adorable in it.
“don’t be afraid to start new sewing projects” fun fact! i’ve been so ~panicked~ lately that i broke out my dad’s ancient sewing machine & taught myself how to use it, and honestly it slaps. is my new bedsheet cloak among the world’s ugliest? probably but it’s got a big ol’ hood and made me feel like i accomplished something. anyways thanks for making Super Cool And Chill Videos, one day i’ll actually have the guts to make my own period attire but for now i continue to live vicariously through your work lmao
Your hair looks gorgeous - curly hair suits you. Also, like the pairing of green and reddish tones in your outfit.
Great outfit and amazing footage, that place makes it feel like you went back in time!!!
15:45 "Edwardian lady frolicking on a fall day before hitting the golf course" - Colorized.
The fabric is supercute! I want a 60s coat in that fabric yaaaaaz
This totally has reinspired me for a cosplay/bounding idea I had. There is a pair of kelpie in a episode of the new duck tales series. It’s all about golf.
Thanks!
I would watch 15 minutes only of you playing with the autumn leaves in this costume. Also, jeez, you really make me want to start sewing!
You did an amazing job! The skirt is perfection! It looks both elegant and sporty.
Your lipstick is beautiful! The shade is stunning!
I am flabbergasted by the size of that cap, it's utterly huge!
The tree-hugging is marvelous.
Came out great, especially with the fall foliage.
"And kind of.. lejący się" same girl, same xD
Yup, multi-lingual brains everywhere just went "been there"
@Kate Briscoe Flowy/drapy like liquid. Literally it means "flowing" or "pouring"
Aaah that skirt hangs so beautifully! Very well done 💃✨
I love it so much, even your mushroom cap. SO CUTE.
I’m a recent fashion design graduate. I reference historical dress a lot, and this video gave me inspiration for a new look to design. Thank you :-)
Sending love to the people in Poland and Belarus. You make this American so Happy
This style works for me, as much fun as it is to see sewing, I know sorting out angles and lighting and holding things in the right place and so on really adds to the energy required for each task.
It brings it to life
I hope your friend gets well soon. Stay safe and thanks for making such good content :) your channel is helping me a lot in these horrible times (I'm not even close to Poland but my country is also on fire... well at least not literally on fire anymore)
I liked it. Quite a huge undertaking with wonderful results.
I think everyone needed this
Don't worry about 'boring' anyone, you're fun to listen to!
Nice craftsmanship, too! Craftswomanship...?
Thanks for this amazing video ! I love the finished result :D
What you are going through seems really difficult, so lot of love send your way !
