Dr. Patrick, I appreciate your knowledge and what you're doing but sometimes the way you respond to people is a bit rude and I guess it doesn't help them. You keep making up these irrational stories like people don't already know that OCD is irrational itself. We know OCD logic doesn't make sense, we know it's silly but the problem is that it keeps us this way because of very heavy anxiety and many other tricks. I guess many people would like to get the answer why it is like this, what exactly happens in the brain, maybe they'd like to receive some stories or examples of your patient which overcame similar obsessions and how they did it. It's not about giving reassurance to people but I guess it's also not about ridiculing and giving exaggerated examples. Nevermind, wish you best luck because your channel is awesome anyways!
Unfortunately he is giving the cold hard truth. It hurts but it’s true. And the quicker we allow ourselves to act and think like he is the quicker we will conquer our OCD.
I feel the way you respond to the questions trivialises OCD. People are going through hell and suffering. You're very condescending and patronising. You probably see it as fun, but I feel offended.
Fully agree. I dont feel offended, but some of the answers on these webinars are kinda weird and it feels like Patrick is tired of these questions because he gets them all the time, but the person who asked them may have been their first time in such situation where managed to ask or share the problem and gets slightly laughed off

Why? He’s an incredible resource for OCD. Cold hard truth sucks. But in the long run it will help us all.
