Some notes.
They did fucking great today, their placements were:
-1st game 7th with 2 kp
-2nd game 2nd with 4 kp
-3rd game 4th with 1 kp
-4th game 8th with 5 kp
-5th game 1st with 8kp
-6th game 9th with 0 kp
Altare was sleeping so he didn´t played in the first game.
Only the first 5 game count, after that it doesn´t affect their rating so they were fucking around in the last game, but Altare hit a nasty headshot in a Valk ult and that team died because of him xD
They ended behind the first place by only 2 kills, they could've ended first overall.
Regis "3 points" Altare is top 5 and top 4 in the K/D list xD
Great day overall, let´s hope they continue their momentum because they improved a lot from yesterday 🫡

I mean, what did they think was going to happen? I get that Selen was super rusty, and Altare inexperienced with Apex, but people with their skill in the genre don't take long to get up to speed. A few weeks of concentrated practice and of course they are going to start doing well.

Eapecially given the ping this is a helluva result. TSB has experienced some peaks and valleys in the various practice days, but this day is a testament to how much they've been able to come together as a team. I'm excited for their performance in the rest of the event.

Honestly Axel so underrated, he is improving the fastest out of other three, his call good, he listen to his team mate, he absorbing Noct's advice and he become a lot calmer
You can tell he was more relaxed, he was listening to the other two and everyone's calls were on point
Yeah like I said in last video TSB has the team the can finish top 3 or top 5 and even make there goal top 10 or hell even win the whole thing if things go right for them. But it depends on axel emotions that why I said they need to be on the hot start like finish top 5 or champion in the 2 games of the real tournament for axel emotions won't get the better of him. To put it simply they start strong they got a good shot finishing top 3 or 5. Start off bad the whole tournament won't look good.
Except 4th game, that call was bad, but overall they are doing good. Just hope they can be consistent till end of vsaikyou. And also hope axel a wattson don't play like a wraith/bangalore. 😅
it really evolved from 'IM the IGL here' to 'WE are a team'
Just for the curious, the reason Hal restarted the 2nd match was that just as they started Hayun's Team arrived and their third member (Nari) didn't manage to enter the team before the match started so Hal restarted to let her get in.
Also at 15:54 it's interesting to know that TSB was counting on the train car team and bridge team to fight because they're both the same team - It's La+'s team, but their Watson (Chihiro) had taken up a flanking position on the bridge, and there were only 2 members in the train car.
And in that final fight, Hal commented that Altare has excellent recoil control, though the 2x sight on the 99 surprised him.
I'm still amazed how precise and clean shooting skills Selen has, also the shoot calling it's good even if she usually make solo stream in apex.
The only thing she may not have it's good rotations but nobody it's perfect.
Selen has proper rotation knowledge but she second guesses herself too much to a point that it wastes enough time for it. Axel complements her by this as she can focus on giving orders on teamfights
What I simply love about Vsaikyo is how it's basically anime irl from start to end. It's even more enjoyable now because we can actually understand what they're saying live.

TSB did so well today!!! Their placements were good, their plays were good, and their comms are getting better! Altare is also being firmer and communicating more which is a delight to see. He's also cracked in kills! I can't wait so see more of their plays. Thank you Shark for the highlights!!!

My favorite parts of the stream was Altare telling whats on his my mind for his valk ult, and Selen being dominant on being the fight IGL. Thats how they won that last game. With Selen controlling Axel to avoid him from being rabid since its the end game.
I mean he had every right to nobody didn't tell him where to go lucky they didn't land next to gorilla or astel team because they would had for sure pushed them.

I haven't watched a lot of their scrims, so am I right in assuming that Axel is the IGL 'at large' while Selen dictates the more detailed positioning for teamfights?
While Altare just *blasts* people.
Honestly, Altare is the scammiest of the scam 3s, but without Selen doing the calls and Axel conducting the 'bigger picture' decisions (also so Selen can just focus on teamfight calls) Altare won't have as much impact. The three covers each other's weaknesses and enhances each other. Selen's teamfight calls lets Altare focus on beaming. Axel's calls lets Selen focus on teamfights.
They can go the whole way.
@@komiteunofficialaccount9224 I mean, if you consider their scrim results from day 1 to day 2, they went top 13-14th to 2nd place, tieing up with AQF and was only just behind by 2 pts from the first placer TSN. They definitely could make it even with the 120-150ms debuff.
This happened right after the atmosphere got tense between them. I was so glad 😊
They were super lucky with their 5th round valk. 27:17 the catalyst was walking out when Selen dropped right in front of her. Idk how she didn't get downed from that. Everything else was really well though, but the stars aligned on that one
maybe because axel landed near her so catalyst might thought she would get punished for downing selen? idk
The Catalyst probably panicked and thought that all three might swing on the her.
bcs he might get punished there. Not only by TSB, bcs that's basically quite open. You don't want to initiate fight on the open field.

They walk in to the house and mondo team was on the hill right on their tail. They have to focus on them not tsb. Thats why they valk ult when they had the chance. They were sandwiched

Nah. 4 points at most until he ranks up. Kuzuha's been stuck at the same points he's had since forever and his overall performance was better than Altare's
To put it into perpective , players like matsuri who have been hitting master and consistently participated in tournaments are mostly 8 or 9 points ( the separation between 9 and 10 is quite vague from my inexperienced pov). I could see selen being assigned 11 though.

Axel managed to negotiate down to 10 due to not being one for a long time.

So the first match where Noc subbed for Altare counted towards the scrims? If they weren't handicapped they could have had a legit chance at 1st overall. Very excited to follow this team!

The way i see this team is that they are cracked but not only are they are in high ping they each also have big weaknesses.
For example:
Selen: have good gamesense and aim but cracks under pressure alot sometimes i even see her need to be told what to do with her util.
Axel:also have good aim and really good kraber but calls on impulse and have major overheating problems
Altare: he is a sniping machine but lacks gamesense and map knowledge which is very important in apex.
Disagree on Selen crack under pressure, she doing fine. The case of Selen ask what to do with her ults, is due to her thinking that Axel want to made an ults call, as she was seen in the past Axel calling hold on to Bang ults or throw it, this was a misunderstanding and since today scrims thing is clear up by Axel/Selen talking in debrief with coach (not included in clip here, go watch original vod around 1:34:30 in Selen's stream or 1:36:50 in Axel's stream)
Selen is incredibly anxious. I hope she will recover from whatever happened to her to cause this fear.
I think Selen is the one doing the best under pressure , cuz you can see Axel is always overheating and make a wrong call , Altare is calm but lack of gamesense , Selen always make the right call under chaotic fight , She didnt do much just bcs she thinks Axel has plan but after the scrims yesterday , She will be more confidence to take action herself
@@Eriolc oh like in game 2, in the end game, at 17:10 she said she have ult for end game but then completely forgot it when the final ring close (if she atleast ask to use it axel may come up with bang ult to take the high road), the 3rd game when axel down and they walk slowly to the final ring, she smoke and try to res? she have digi (luckily altare faster and take the res) and then try to clim to the thingy for no reason, get shoot and have to bat (oh this make the team next to them know they there -> reveal your team when they not fully reset) when she see the team next to them, she try shoot them and get closer??? they peak and kill axel and altare when she did not watching at all. and the way she throw bang ult (not mention it late) is so weird, anyone know they gonna push that and she throw it so far foward make that team have even more reason to push (the ult is so far they just need to push a little and the ult is useless, she also know the bang ult she throw suck) and a whole lot of time she just run around with no thought under pressure. i think you are not apex player bcs those are very clear movement of a panic player. oh and the clearest thing is the dead slide. too may dead slide for a pred player

I was wondering how does the final rating work? They're tied with total points with the 3rd place team at 51 but they got 4 less kills than them and they placed higher than them. Same with the 14th and 15th place teams.

I mean, how would EU even work? Most of the people they hire would have to either all speak JP or EN to start with, because otherwise there are just too many languages all over EU to make any group from there have any connection unless they all come from the same country. Like, I'm sure it would be cool to have more people streaming for that time zone, but again, in what language? Like yeah they would be able to monopolize the fans that speak that language, but what about collabs etc.?
@@KahlevN As someone from EU, I can tell you that most people can speak and understand at least decent English. Some don't like to admit it, but English is very prevalent in EU as a 2nd or 3rd language.
@@crimsonjade6777 Yeah, that’s kinda the my point though, if everyone in the group speaks EN or JP, then why bother making it a separate entire group just for the time zone? Would they have to shift the current EN members that live in the EU/UK into that group?
And all this after folding the ID members into JP because they were too small and in the same time zone, and now most of them are leaving? Just doesn’t seem likely, though I wish it could be, representation is always good.
@@KahlevN I wasn't particularly arguing for or against making an EU branch. I was just talking about the language. But the timezone is a pretty big deal still. I can see an English speaking EU only branch still doing pretty well because of that. And you don't need to shift any of the current groups around. The ID and JP timezone difference is a lot less than NA and EU too, It's anywhere between 6 to 10 hours, so that's definitely a different audience set.
@@KahlevN timezone is definitely a big deal. Especially if there are more options that have favorable time slots.
Another thing is having EU members who speak primarily english but drop their native language from time to time really will build the EU scene more i.e. ID classes, JP only streams, etc.
The reason why TSB not completely dominate the scrimms yet with Mr 3 point scam is because Selen still not perform like a 10 point, just look at how the others 10 point player like Pakael/Lauren/Astel completely run over the lobby and carry their teammates. If Selen can perform like they did TSB will win for sure
Selen is doing fine, her game sense and calls during fights are what have saved the team multiple times during bad calls. Everyone on TSB has their strengths there is no need to have a carry when the team as a whole is good enough to 3 v 3 other top teams in the tournament. I'd say the igl calls need more work than selen as a player rn, need less blindsided valk ults that lead to death or really bad positioning but that's already being improved upon too
Selen plays well with good calls. Selen was a fucking monster when playing with aza as igl. If axel continue to have good calls like this, they will win more games

I think Selen is trying to better cooperate with her teammates since Axel may overheat and Altare dont know what to do sometimes , she is the one who is leashing and guiding her teammates , I do believe when these small weaknesses can overcome then she can rly put a 100% effort on what she can do
Reason Selen cant hard carry is due to JP ping diff, also she doesnt want to over step the leader.
