  • These cute snowman decorations are so simple to make, and a great project for the kids to get involved in! They can easily be hand sewn. I’ve used fleece as it’s easy and forgiving to work with, and doesn’t fray, felt would work well too. Why not make a row of snowmen into festive bunting!
    Fabrics from www.debbieshoresewing.com
    Materials:
4” [10cm] circle template [I used a sticky tape reel]
3” [7.5cm] circle template [ribbon reel]
    8” x 8” [20cm x 20cm] white fleece
    10” x ¾” [25cm x 2cm] red fleece for the scarf
    6.5” x 3.5” [16cm x 9cm] red fleece for the hat
8” [20cm] string or ribbon to hang
    2” x 2” [5cm x 5cm] orange felt for the nose
    2” x 2” [5cm x 5cm] green felt for the holly
    Red bead
    Handful of toy filler
    Strong wet fabric glue [HT2]
    Black embroidery thread
    Pink blusher
    Black button

Very cute and festive! Love the idea of snowmen bunting or also tying on to Christmas packages as an extra little gift. Thanks for a great simple project, Debbie!

I sew my snowmen, leaving the top of their heads open for turning and stuffing. And yes, they seem to take a lot more stuffing than one would think, to fill their little, chubby bodies...Lol. And I like to add arms to some, which are simple to do. Just sew an elongated-tube with right sides together, maybe making the hand section a big rounder, and turn it out like the body, using a popsicle stick or something small to "push" the fabric outward. Stuff it, then glue it on.

Think I would just leave an unsewn gap on the top of the head since the hat would cover, just a thought. Very cute.

Very, very cute!!! I'm not one for snowmen, probably because I'm a southern California native and we don't get snow where I live, but these are just so stinkin' cute!!!! I just may have to make some! Great idea about hiding the clipped area at the back of the neck area with the scarf. Makes construction so much easier and faster by not having to hand stitch an opening closed. What a great, fun project, Debbie! Thank you so much for sharing with us. Merry Christmas! 🎄

These are just so adorable! I can't wait to try and make a bunch of these. They will look so cute tied on two little gifts. Can I ask what kind of glue you are using it's a size of tube that I'm not familiar with.
