4 piec bars are heavier. Disc's are always more finicky requiing more time wasting adjustment but they do brake well. Beautiful bike there. I'd like a D-Block but retired, can't afford one. Making my own cruiser.
Thanks! I really love the geometry of mine. I just swapped out the tires to Maxxis Grifters, going from the 2.8 stocks to 2.5. It's still wide enough to match the Monster but slimmer and easier to handle. Check out my Instagram page for some pics. @cruising.in.the.808. Mahalo!
@@i_amChrisJxmes - I wanted to try out the Grifters. So far they have been working out ok and I have not had any flats since that first few that I got right after installing them. I have Hookworms on my Zooz e-bike and they work well on that. Thanks for watching and for the comment!
Hey Emerson, if you take a look at the links in the description, I have a link to the rotors that I got from Amazon. They have different colors available too.
I’ve had this bike for around 2.5 months and when I break I have to hold it in longer and when I wheelie since I have it hold it in longer I don’t feel safe why does my breaks do this and are u having them problems
I swapped out the rotors and the brake pads as I was having a terrible squealing sound coming from them. It’s all good now but I’m still learning to wheelie so I’m not sure about the problem you are having. Sorry about that! Thanks for watching and for the comment!
I love them! The bigger size means your foot just has that added space for stability and traction. These are my favorite pedals for sure. I have a set on my Big Ripper too. They aren't cheap but they are very well made and you can buy spare parts to service them later if you need to. Thanks for watching and for the comment!
@@DavidGomez-sv8ew - The horrible squealing is gone with the new rotors and pads. You do have to break in the new pads so they still might make some sounds at first. I took some fine sandpaper and sanded the pads first as they come with some sort of coating on them. I saw this tip in another YT video. Now they only make a sound if I get some salt on it when riding close to the beach but that rubs off once I use the brakes. It's way better than before!
Do you ever get any ping noise from the front? I just picked one up and my front brake rotor rubs as well but I have an annoying ping sound when pedaling standing up applying more pressure to the front, but nothing when sitting. Maybe spoke rubbing? Not sure if it’s just something that needs time to break in????
I get a similar noise from the front rotors anytime I stand up and pedal or put a lot of pressure on the front end. I really think it's coming from the front rotors as it sounds like it rubs for some reason anytime there is a lot of weight up front. Unfortunately I've never been able to get rid of it, no matter how much I adjust the brakes. The only thing I can think of is to pump up the tires to max pressure so that the tire doesn't sit when that pressure is applied. I think it has to do with the tire somehow bending the rim and that in turn moves the rotor to rub up against the brake pad. Sorry man, wish I had better news for you! Thanks for watching and for the comment!
I do have a problem with the front disc rubbing against the pads but do you have a solution for my crankset. Like the black screw in the middle always comes off eventually
I'm wondering if some Loctite would solve the black screw problem? Or you could always double-check the screw every few rides? Yeah, it's kind of a hassle though.
@@arth7217 - I actually had another pair of the same pedals in black and swapped them out. I think the black went better with the color scheme so it's the same pedals, but just in black.
@@cruisinginthe808 bro. I was on my way to ride in San Francisco from my hometown today and my bike fell off my car on the freeway from my bike rack. Just bought it two days ago! Luckily the rear of the bike was held on by the lock on the rack. The bars took the entire impact and my brake levers got destroyed so I bought a new set at a shop in SF when I got there and they trued my wheel up. Luckily it wasn’t bent beyond repair. I’m so blown away there were zero scratches on the bike and all I had to do was buy a new set of bars and brake levers. Ended up upgrading to a set of Shimano brakes

New bikes back the screws out often. Just tighten them every time and they will eventually stay in place

180 mm front, 160 mm back. Thanks for watching!
did you change the pedals?
Yes I did. Those are from Pedaling Innovations. I really like how big they are. Tons of support for your feet and they are easy to pedal!
