This is awesome and exactly what I was looking for. Thank you SO much for posting this! This looks like something I can definitely do on my own. (pumps fist in the air)
I love this video, but for the life of me cannot find 1 and 1/2 inch black pipe at either of my Home Depot or Lowes stores nearby. I'm looking online and they just have half inch, inch, and two inch pipe. And wowza, the price is high.
In the Midwest, we have a hardware store called Menards. Its just like Lowes and Home Depot. They have the 1.5 inch. Google Plumbing Supply in your area. These are places that plumbers go, but you can too. Yes, the pipe is kind of expensive.

@@HowToLou Yeah, that's about what I expected, but at least it was quite the simple job, especially if you don't have available tools to make a fully wooden table. Nice idea you had, might try it myself, maybe with some cheaper pipes like PVC or something silly.
Good idea! Look at Schedule 80 PVC. Its stronger and a nice gray color. Get a can of PVC cleaner to remove all the inked words on the pipes. You can cut with a $5 hand saw.
Hi I’ve been picking my brain but can’t figure it out , if my wood is gonna be cut at 5ft 1/2 and 3ft wide what would be my measurements for the pipes… please help 😩
I would keep all the pipes exactly the same. My table was 36 x 58. You want 36 x 66. That’s only 4 inches more overhang on each end and will look great.
I think they were 1/4 inch washers. They just need an inside hole small enough so the screw head won’t pull through. Another option is to get screws with larger heads. I just used what I had on hand.
I saw the pipes where about 150 but what is the total project cost? what type of board did you use? Edit thanks for your videos, This channel is going to explode eventually, good work sir!
The pine wood panel was $60, so a little over $200 overall. Thanks! Check out my other videos at HowToLou.com. I only have 15 million views so far, but growing. Thank you.
@@HowToLou Thank you so much for both your responses! I live near Asheville, NC so I'm not close to a Menards but I'm hoping to find a board like the one you had in this video! Thanks again!
@@prestonprince me too!! im hoping to build this this weekend and hoping i can just get a large piece of wood instead of the multiple boards with pocket holes etc.
Someone FINALLY posted an easy table tutorial...Yay!
With ONE tool !!! Thank you Lou

Could I leave the extra length on (or even longer) to make it wheelchair accessible?
Absolutely! You can make it any size you want. I just made it that size for to best fit my space.
Thanks for sharing. Any chance the pipe will rust on the inside?
It will not rust inside a house. Outside, you should paint the pipes.
going to try and build something like this this weekend :) need it to be 7 ft long. Any suggestions on the pipe supplies i will need :) thank you!
Get the 3ft x 8ft board. Swap the two 24” pipes for two 36”. All else the same
Hello Lou, You mentioned a link to the chairs in the description. Please share if still able/available. Thank you kindly!

Just out of curiosity, how much did that steel pipe cost you in total?
Way more than you would think. About $150 for pipes.

Where did you get the board ? Home Depot
Menards, but Lowes and Home Depot might have them. They are called edge glued boards.

Also, where exactly were you able to find a 3x6 board like the one in this video?
I got that board from Menards.
