I love the fact that the voice of guilt for Aqua is a manifestation of his old self. And the phrase like "you should've protected her with your life" when he literally already died once WHILE trying to protect her.
Loved this episode kinda wish the kanna scean with her saying something kinda f*cked up without knowing had a little more weight to it with darker with lighting or ominous music but the stuff after was perfect. When I read volume 5 after the full page spread of Ai's dead face and aqua falling to the ground I waited 3 months to see what happened next and theories and stuff was flying through my head about how much of Aqua is Goro.
I have watched the reaction videos of "Oshi no Ko" so far, and I am enjoying them. However, I am a bit concerned that you seem to assume a "specific enemy" within the work. I speculate that the message the original creator intended to convey is not about who is to blame, but rather about how, in a chaotic situation where no one is truly at fault but someone is being blamed, we can find ways to come together with others.
@@TheGenreVerse I might have been overthinking... I didn't mean to cause any discomfort. Thank you for your prompt response. I'm looking forward to the next video.
Don't forget that Gotanda (the director), didn't know that Ai is their Mom (atm). He just know Aqua and Ruby is very close to Ai, because he was told back then at S1 EP 1 they are Miyako children.
I was torn before, but there's no discussion - Akane = BEST girl. Also the episode is an emotional rollercoaster. The first half was so nice, but then they just turned up the heat and started cooking like Gordon Ramsey. ;)
this episode is just another example. whereas you have akane who during this episode is showing her willingness to bear the pain with aqua, when the event happened rather than expressing concern for him kana expresses jealousy of akane going to him. she makes a lot of things about herself. in season 1 as well she inserts her childhood acting trauma into a lot of conversations shes a part of. everyone has different taste as the other said and kana just rubs me the wrong way with her behavior more often than not. love kana as a character but as a person im not a fan.
Womanly duties 😂 i mean i don't think you're wrong. I know the feeling of having to wait weekly sometimes when the cliffhanger is too much i just go ahead and read the manga like the very 1st eps of oshi no ko i read the manga immediately
That comment when Akane was sent to join aqua was extremely poor taste. She was sent as his girlfriend to be there for him, I'd expect a boyfriend to be sent alongside his girlfriend as well. Pulling the sexism card there is in extremely poor taste and undermine when it actually happens. And to make it worse, you focus in on that during the pre run teaser.
@@TheGenreVerse Sure, it was still in quite poor taste, and quite offsetting. Far be it for me to dictate humour, so if you think that's a funny joke, so be it. I was expecting it to be an excerpt from a joke seeing the introduction, so was a bit let down when it came up and I failed to flag it as a joke
First, let me assure you, there's no hard feelings here. Some people really need to be in the feels for anime, and that's fine. I can relate with Aqua when it comes to being suddenly triggered in public. I can relate to relentless panic attacks. And just like him, I try to cope with things in a way that won't affect others around me in w negative way... One coping mechanism is humor, and yeah... It gets dark. However, if this were real life and I were there, I wouldn't have made the joke, because it would actually be in bad taste. I still would have tried to break tension with some humor, but I have better sense than to say what I say here. But this is fiction... And the director was kinda sexist sending her the way he did.... So, we get a joke based on what he says. I hope you give other shows a we cover a watch. If you don't like distracting humor from serious stuff, please watch things like our Konosuba, Spy x Family, or even Eminence in Shadow reactions. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Kana is a actor. Why would she not give advice on things like this? Stepping on eggshells isn't something that this industry is affording as this show has shown since episode one. Honestly, I really think Aqua realizing this trauma he has is gonna be a positive.
We didn't get on to her or say she shouldn't give advice. We literally say we know she didn't mean to trigger him. He's aware of his trauma, he just isn't processing it well. However, this episode of panic could result in positive progress down the road.
@@TheGenreVerse I suck at making things general, but I wasn't saying that you guys specifically said Kana was in the bad, but via other reactions and comments. Akane is taking the soft Mom approach, and Kana is taking the hard mom approach to me. I think Aqua just needed a splash of cold water. Sorry if I came off mean or assuming.
I think we can all agree that if Kana had known that Aqua's mother is dead, she would NEVER in a million years have asked him that question, no matter how tough the entertainment industry is. But Kana doesn't know that. That's the point. This highlights the fact that Kana doesn't really know Aqua well, despite her earlier statement that "she has known him the longest".
I didn't take it as mean, I always assume that there's no negative intent in comments... Unless it's like, very obvious 😆. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Kana is a bait character… need a proof? SPOILER In the manga she never had any strong moments with Aqua, not a single one. Ruby is the girl Aqua loves the most
Welcome to The GenreVerse... Where dark humor is used to cut tension. That's my coping mechanism when faced with strong negative or sad situations, what's yours? If you care to share...
Are you seriously upset over the "go do womanly duties" comment? I mean, it's clearly a joke. Reading tone and body language through text is next to impossible, but this is a fucking recording. Chill out, it's not that serious.
BEST GIRL ARISE!!! Sherlock Holmes would be proud LOL
That's why I call her Detective Akane because she finds ALMOST EVERYTHING. I'll just leave at that.
I really respect Akane for comforting Aqua in his time of need. She is such a sweet character
Kana Team
Yeah Akane is the Sherlock in this universe, if she was Aqua her revenge should is done!
That flashback got me.... oh my gosh....
Ugh..... that scared me so bad.... I've literally cried right now... 😭😭

These episodes have been very good, gotta love when they touch upon subjects that most people dismiss or are completely unaware of. (Myself included).

Not sure what you're getting at in this particular episode. I don't think we blamed anyone for anything...

No discomfort. I just wanted to clarify any misunderstandings. I know we're a bit... Different from many reactors. Thanks for watching and commenting!
The best thing about this show is how they protray the character feelings, and it will get better!
The first half was so wholesome that i think this ep will be a chill episode to relax but i let my guard down again.😂
