I love how when 5up's "salty", he's still calm, just a little annoyed.
Annoyed is the right term. While it's more like sibling rivalry, I think 5up really is a bit better than Hafu. In his stream few months ago (october I think), 5up said he respects players who not only are good at the this game (requisite: not toxic), but also contribute to make the game better like inventing more strats, etc, just like him. He listed Toast and iirc Train as well in that group.
While Hafu is really good at this game, she hardly contributes. Like Toast said, Hafu is a very "by the book" player. She masters all possible moves to their peak but not beyond the original scope of the game. She's like an honour student who gets perfect marks by memorising the text book while 5up is a genius student who loves the subject enough to create a formula/discovery by himself.
If someone like Toast, Train, Dumbdog, or Greaseball bests 5up, I don't think he minds that much.

Whenever she threw with toast on 50/50's, she usually blame toast and say his voice sounds calm then votes him off ( aipha win ) or many other more.

I think the biggest error in Hafus retort is that Toast would never kill on 10... Toast has proven time and time again that his main objective is for everyone to have fun. That shot was cheap. Toast would hold onto that hunch for at least a few more rounds

Not really. Toast doesn't vote early when he is 100 percent who the impostor is because the impostor was that obvious. When the impostors arent that obvious, and he meta susses, or does some big brain play he would instantly vote people out on 10 as well. Remember Poki and Rae getting voted out based on the keys trick? That was a cool trick but he didnt explain and voted them out. Or when he says Soul Read/ Horse sound, the impostors get no chance to defend. The soul read first time actually got (I think dumbdog or Aipha) out without any kill.
She killed him on the basis that only he would call comms. So I do agree with you and 5up. That kill was unnecessary.

About what Hafu said: "if it was Toast, it'd be a big brain play". I don't think Toast would ever do that. Not because he is unsure (he usually can identify the imposters round one) but because he knows how not fun it would be for the imposter. He's ok with soul reading and sussing round one, but just killing like that is just lame, he'd never do that and he'd definitely not feel proud like she felt after she did it. She's a really good player like him, but I believe in this situation 5up's right to be salty
And even if she didn't bring up Toast, 5up (or anyone for that matter) is allowed to feel salty about it. The reason why it keeps getting brought up is that she keeps shutting him down when he brings it up. I dont think hafu is a bad perosn or anything, but there is no "right" or "wrong" when it comes to how someone feels and i wish she didn't try to tell him that he shouldn't feel salty lol
Yeah Toast would never make that play. He is galaxy brain, but to him the most important thing is everyone has fun. I've watch him play multiple times as crew/sheriff and even if he figures out who the imposters are in the first round, he normally won't say a word about it until he has solid proof and/or that person messes up.

Lights battle on 3 is practically useless; as impostor you have to constantly flick off lights, but also exit out of the lights panel to let you cooldown drop. It's realistically not doable

I love Hafu and respect her calls, especially as a leader of the lobby, but it just felt weird that she'd bring up Toast as a way to deflect 5up's saltiness over that Sheriff kill. Kinda showed a double standard... I'm all for applauding great plays by females (and they do have them) and giving them a voice (because the lobby has talked over the girls countless times), but this one felt a little weird.
There are differences in approaches with Hafu's Sheriff kill on 10 vs. Toast's random "big brain" sus claims. Hafu actually did use a very Toast-method of sus'ing 5up for that Sheriff kill by meta-gaming sabotage tendencies. But when Toast thinks he knows, he often won't actually start pushing or act fully until later in the game (unless he is meme-ing and the lobby hops along and in turn he is completely okay with being meme voted out), in order to give the imposter(s) chances to play/enjoy the game. Even Hafu and others in the morning lobbies have gotten salty over Toast's soul reads that put sus on them without explanation or got them voted out early, since he rarely fully explains his susses during meetings. I do think 5up would be equally sad if anyone in the lobby Sheriff killed him at 10, since there is a level of RNG with metagame susing - Toast acknowledges that he's not always correct on his calls. 10 felt terrible too since nothing had happened in the game other than the one sabotage so it can't be a hard accuse which is a rule for the lobby to vote on 8, 9, or 10. Sheriff is an immediate dead end on Imposter play that they can't defend against.

The reason he's salty is cause he was Meta Sussed. He called comms, a play which anyone could do in the entire lobby, at any time in the game. But, 5up is the one person who does do it, and lost an imposter round due to it.
Hafu is srsly such a boring person to play with, even in the end of this game she says she votes out 5up every time there, why? Because 5up made it to final 3 and she can't use logic or evidence or convincing to save her life
@@xVanHam That one made sense. 5up ran from reactor, said that out loud, and said Koji helped fix it. Plus, Kimi and Koji were together quite a bit, 5up in that situation was definitely the vote I would've went with. I don't think Hafu is boring, I just think if I were 5up in that game getting sheriff killed, I wouldn't have handled it so well.

@@buttercupzs That's an opinion. I think Hafu definitely lost some love for that sheriff play, but, she is still a fun person to watch on Among us. It would be the same scenario if Dream was killed in a minecraft manhunt by a banned way, or a way that obviously shouldn't have been done. They'd get heat, but no reason to say they're no longer fun.

To me, the thing about Hafu sheriff kill wasn't really the meta (because like, meta is the usual stuff everyone does, can't do nothing but get used to it). Problem was... she sheriff-ed based on sus = voting on 10 without hard accuse (# lobby rule), no meeting for the impostor to even defend themself either. Also the reason wasn't really convincing imo? That was the first time the lobby played with colour blind comm, I think whoever was the impostor would try it, not necessarily be 5up, but it happened to be him ... it's basically RNG voting on 10 - what caused him to leave the sweaty lobbies and create this one with Hafu.
She unknowingly broke her own lobby rules (and was proud of it). But I don't think she realized why 5up was upset and thought it's just about "meta" lol.
That's common for Hafu. She even tried to pull the woman card and brought up Toast. Toast meme/trolls constantly and doesnt get butthurt about being memed/trolled/meta sus, that's why there's a double standard.
Yeah I can understand if it was any game, but who WOULDN’T want to call coms when playing with the colour blind mode. Calling coms is op with that and most people do it.
remember the day where they were playing the 3 solo imposter mod and she made it to final 4 with one other imposter managed to get the other one voted out and then she did her evil laugh before everyone deafened (obviously revealing herself as the last one) but then one of the dead imposters called a sabotage as soon as the round started? the crewmates were able to get the lights back on and call a meeting but she whined and forced everyone to let her win it lol it was so painful to watch. hello??? like the other imposters are not on your team, they are allowed to sabotage you as much as they are sabotaging the crewmates.
@@jordan-ve4qw That one I can understand, at least, as it makes the game more crew balanced in a game that's already very difficult for impostors to win, and the only justification for ruining the surviving impostor's game would be pettiness, which isn't a great look when you're trying to make sure that everybody is having fun.
I like Hafu, but that comms thing was not something to be proud of.

This lobby never set rules about meta gaming so Hafu’s play isn’t technically “wrong.” However, they have all of these rules to protect imposters from RNG, and then she kills on 10 from a comms call... feelsbadman. She would be so salty if she got sheriff killed at 10 for doing water jug, and if it was right she’d call it “confirmation bias.”
Most of Hafu’s play is meta based (like knowing when DK is or isn’t imposter). And that’s fine especially because they never made rules against it. But using it to kill on 10 against the lobby precedent is just kinda BM

yeah, the thing i find weird isn’t the meta gaming necessarily. it’s how she typically makes rules to give the impostors more of a chance to play (e.g. voting very infrequently on 10, 9, 8), and then decides to kill 5up on 10 for something that wouldn’t be a hard accusation

I just don’t understand why Hafu always has to point out that her intentions were correct and not really try to take 5up’s thoughts into consideration. If she got killed at 10 by 5up, she would have been fuming but if it’s otherwise then she wouldn’t care. I just hated the hypocrisy because she tried to deny that she plays it rough when it comes to 5up. If 5up meta hafu like that, she would’ve called 5up “lame”. See the hypocrisy?

@@starsheen1 Ah its just the way I see it this isnt the first time. She does this a LOT, like a lot lot. Most of the times its fairly lighthearted or mildly annoying, but its not the first time shes been real mean and too meta on 5up. I think this is the 5th or 6th time Ive seen Hafu break her own lobby rule, shut down 5up's opinion and then think her behaviour was right. It just really irks me when she does it so often. I was also like you just take it lightheartedly or brushing it off, but the more I see it happen the less I can just tolerate.
Video concept idea: A voiceover of a crew/imposter game where you explain the logic you're using throughout the whole game. Colors, positions, susses, tonal changes and all so we get some insight into your brain and maybe all become better players! Love the vids!

Hafu meta-ing would be less annoying if she didn’t constantly complain about how it ruins the game. Don’t get me wrong it’s a big brain play until it’s done to you. Like if I call a mate out for calling o2 like they always do I feel like a genius but when I get called for closing doors it’s completely unfair. Overall it just shouldn’t be used until you know for certain as it kills the fun of the game.
10:51 when the meeting starts, the pink arrow is still pointing at the impostor in the background so you can still tell who it is by remembering their positions around the meeting table.

I really like that 5up keeps the end discussions. Because a lot of others just cut it off with the victory or defeat screen.

I want to advocate for a new role idea I thought of specifically with DK in mind. I call it the Soul Reader.
- For the very first meeting only, he would get to cast two votes.
- He loses his second vote if 4+ people died prior to the first meeting being called to discourage ignoring bodies to manipulate risk/reward odds.
- If he votes for both imposters, they are both ejected and he wins the game (like jester, this counts as a crew loss).
- If he only gets one right and one wrong, the game carries on only counting his first vote. The second vote would not display so his identity remains hidden. Would enable interesting lies/plays to claim the role based on the voting results because if he lives to the next round, he would know at least one of the killers but would need to make it to the next meeting to try to convince the crew.
- If he gets both wrong, he is ejected at the end of the meeting (for voter fraud) regardless of the actual outcome of the votes. His first vote would still count as usual though.
- He could also simply opt out of using his second vote to negate the risks and hide his identity.

I think I felt my brain get bigger after hearing Kimi's explanation for voting Koji. She reevaluated her entire life in 15 seconds.
Day 71 of teaching his viewers, how 5up knows when his impostor partner kills:
The kill button will flash for a frame. It is very easy to see when in a vent as the number sticks until he leaves said vent. It is noticeable when cool-down is off and slightly less so when his own cool-down is ticking. It is possible that this flash has not been noticed by you, due to the fps of videos being 22 for resolutions 480 and under, vs the game running on 60, showing this for a single or two frames at most. If you want to see this 100% of the time, change to at least 720p. The killcam is synchronized to the flicker on most videos.

Based off Wolfabelle saying that she brought up her issues privately many times and nothing happened, and after the last incident where there was obviously off stream discussion afterwards she has no longer been invited (according to her and a command she has in her twitch channel it's not her choice that she's stoppped playing in these lobbies) I doubt Hafu really listens to concerns that she disagrees with much, even off stream.

The thing that happened immediately before Wolfabelle stopped being invited was that Hafu aggresively berated Belle for trying to convince Janet that the Mira logs showed Peter had vented when Janet doesn't understand logs (Belle also doesn't understand logs, she just agreed with Janet when Janet speculated that Peter vented). Belle was then visibly upset about this but didn't say anything to Hafu in that moment. It's almost certain that Belle then brought this up off stream and this discussion lead to Hafu stopping inviting Belle (I don't think this discussion was entirely about this one incident though)
Belle has said that she "can't say" why she's not invited anymore (not sure if this means she doesn't know or thinks it would be wrong to say) so it's speculation as to exactly why.
So take this as speculation not fact: Belle had been getting increasingly frustrated with various things both in among us (constant meta-sus) and out (almost never being included in post-among us games such as Valorant despite making her interest obvious). She kept talking about wanting to stand up for herself and not let herself get walked over, but apparently already mentioned some of this stuff with no luck. Most likely Belle then mentioned these issues in the discussion along with the Mira incident and was more firm about wanting a resolution, and Hafu didn't react well to it, hence the lack of Belle in the lobbies ever since. After she stopped getting invited Belle was again lamenting that she doesn't stand up for herself enough, so when she finally does it's considered a big issue.
Again want to emphasise this is speculation, but I think given most of it was said by Belle or strongly implied by her it's probably at least a halfway accurate account of what happened. As far as I know nobody else from the lobby has addressed it, Hafu was claiming Belle is still invited and chooses not to attend (which is the only reason Belle chose to reveal it's not her choice)

Yeah, I think maybe he didnt think the snitch would be so convincing and plushys was really likely to stumble into lights before cooldown was up-I assume miko's body was there. And he didn't really use the self report to his advantage, he could have called more attention to self reporting on 3, since there was no way to verify that 5up was snitch. So far i think there hasnt been a lot of lying about roles yet, ive only seen 5up/dk pull it off and I cant wait for the rest of the lobby to start trying it too.

the correct play there for Koji on 3 wouldve been to skip... then shut cafe doors, once those opened shut storage, once those opened shut electric... that buys him enough time to get that last kill
Hafu meta-killing 5up on 10 is something that she should undestand was wrong because it breaks 2 of their established rules in the lobby. She basically pushed her hard accuse on 5up on 10 because she metasussed him. Her not understanding it and 5up giving up on trying to fight her about it because she doesn't want to admit she broke the rules she established is really frustrating.
It was also just really bad logic. I'd expect at least half of the lobby would have called Color-blind coms as their first sabotage in their first game with the cool new modded sabotage. The fact that Hafu thought that 5up was the only one in the entire lobby that would call Coms was just silly.
@@Stericify Yeah, she was probably going on her head that because it was the first round of that day that they had color blind comms on that 5up would've done it because he's had experience with them. I watched the vod and it was incredibly disappointing watching the kill screen appear out of nowhere.

Anyway 5up you're literally the most entertaining streamer and youtuber out there. I'm bored to death in most if not all other streams, as there's no self-challenging, no constant improving and not even near your intelligence anywhere to be found on twitch or youtube. You even introduced me to Displate, ordered 2 large displates (regrettably I didn't use 5up code because for some reason the 35% off didn't work for me).

When hafu uploaded I was desperately checking through looking for 5ups vid because he normally has a video out like 20-50 mins before hers goes live. Whew thank god my little sleepy brain didnt have to miss a 5up game.
