More stylised approach helps the player to suspend their disbelief much better and requieres less polish compared to hyper realism, when it comes to animations and movement especially. It's definitely the most beautiful. It's sort of a tough comparison though because previous games all have very distinct styles too, but they're quite different. Whereas Elden Ring falls closer to high fantasy (with dark fantasy tones), the whole Dark Souls / Demon's Souls series is pretty firmly couched in dark fantasy with medieval architectural style, while Bloodborne is this really beautiful blend of elements of Victorian architecture and design coupled with cosmic horror, and Sekiro is extremely inspired by Japanese folklore, feudal Japanese architecture, and in many ways Japanese art styles. They're all very different from each other, and all beautiful in their own ways. In my opinion, Elden Ring is my favorite (and certainly the most "epic" in the truest sense of the word), but Bloodborne is a close second, and Dark Souls 3 after that.

    What I love about Elden Ring is its pure gaming experience not bogged down by unnecessary UI or mechanics. Its a game I can open and know that everytime i will find a blood pumping challenge without needing to go through dialogue and quest-lines. Not bashing RPGs with that kind of stuff, but man I just love the of experience and silent exploration FromSoft games provide.

      Elden ring adds a lot of new mechanics to make the game easier. Summoning help on the go, shields being more effective, and having guard counters, and the biggest of them all: the open world. You'll pretty much always have at least 3 main paths to follow, and 100 side paths. I understand that because the other games were linear, if you got stuck at a boss, and simply couldn't figure out his timings and such to beat it, you could only farm some enemies to get levels. Here you can explore something completely new to get stronger and find new tools. Maybe its worth giving it a go

    • @mrchefcheck
      @mrchefcheck 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This game gives a lot of helping hand. Summoning things or other players to help you out has never been easier and more accessible. You can literally spawn in front of most bosses now so you don't have to go back to a checkpoint.

      The games really arent that hard its all about picking your battles and actually making a decent build if youre having a hard time go somewhere else explore and get more powerful the level of diffculty is really up to you you can farm enemies level up a bunch upgrade your weapons and be over leveled the whole game one shotting all but the really tanky enemies and make the bosses trivial
