I have one more Sephora sale video idea for you: “What I’m using instead of what’s on my Sephora sale wishlist.” Basically go through what’s left on your list, what you didn’t buy, and choose items in your collection (possibly for a full face or close to it) that aren’t necessarily dupes, but are either similar or are items you are just as excited about as the ones on your list. I did this over the weekend when I was playing with makeup and it was so much fun! It can be drugstore and high end, and I love the idea of using the sale as a reason to remind myself of the gold stuff I already have!
I started noticing lip issues when I was around 40 as well. Didn't help that I smoked for 17 years, (quite 12 yrs ago), and had quite a few lip lines, and glosses would just bleed into them. I discovered this channel about a year ago, and she has an entire playlist on derma rolling, and stamping for lip lines. She lists a link to the one she uses in her description box, and I've been using it for a little over a year now, and have seen great results! It even plumped them up naturally as derma rolling creates your own collagen production, so my thinning lips are now much fuller, but it doesn't look fake or over done. Plus it has smoothed out my lines tremendously. It took about 4 months to see a noticeable difference. After I roll, which is every 2 weeks with a 0.5mm size, I put Loreal moisture fill collagen lotion on the area, and it's worked really well! I was a little afraid of it in the beginning but after doing it a few times, realized it's not a big deal. I started out with a 0.25mm, and increased to the 0.5mm after about 2 months, and haven't felt the need to go any deeper than that. The difference is really amazing. Here's a link to one of her video's on it. She has quite a few that are tutorials on it as well. Definitely saved me a ton of money!!!... th-cam.com/video/ZKO0sRMn_0w/w-d-xo.html
A beautiful look, Mandy. I recently bought the Contour wand and love it. Sometimes I use a brush to blend it in. I have found if I put my pencils that need to be sharpened in the freezer for 5 to 10 minutes, I don't lose a lot of the pencil during the sharpening phase.
You are gonna love the CT lip pencil. At 60 it is THE BEST. Stays in place and keeps lip color where it belongs. I bought a really dark one (colors were sold out) during last sale. Picked up iconic nude this sale. Not here yet but planning on it working almost every day. I was worried the CT bronzer would be too light on me too. But it is VERY nice. Subtle and impossible to get too much. At my age, that is a good thing!
Highly suggest trying the Drunk Elephant Lippe Balm to help with lip line restoration. I’m 40 and was considering lip injections. Very skeptical and almost convinced it would not work, decided to give the balm a fair try. To my surprise it does work! I use it only in the morning and love the results. Currently on my second one. First one lasted about 6 months. Best product I’ve tried in 2020.
Girl, you are basically at 40K. Celebration time!!! Should be at 💯 K for sure. Definitely want to see some looks with the zendo palette. So question... With the nd shadows are they better to apply them with your finger or a brush, especially the shimmers? Got the retro. Used a brush and my finger. Just feel like I did something wrong! Twilight insert was hysterical 😂. Love you! Woman I am 44. You look fabulous and certainly not 40!!!
Great choices. I would like to try the Lawless and Patrick Ta. So glad you didn't go for the Dior Face Body foundation. So many better choices in that price range.
You picked up some great things Mandy. I’m excited to see you use the Zendo palette, it’s very pretty. I’m really loving the look of the Patrick Ta blush in She’s so LA, but your description of berry is throwing me. I’m hoping it’s more terracotta, on the bronzy red end of the spectrum rather than orange. 🤞🏻
You could try a Pat McGrath single eyeshadow--I really think you would love the shade sextrovert. It's only $12.50 right now! I bought 3, two for Christmas stocking stuffers and one for a back up for me!
With the contour wand I turn it off as soon as I squeeze some product out. It helps it be a bit less messy. I usually use a brush to blend it out but a sponge works just fine. I’m happy you got the Patrick Ta blush, that’s the shade I have and I just love it. I love your eye look, I think that palette is gorgeous and I have to keep telling myself I don’t need it lol. The lip cheats don’t get much product on the sharpener if any that I’ve noticed anyway. I use a Pat McGrath sharpener that came with a lip liner so idk if that makes any difference or not.
the charlotte tilbury contour wand is my holy grail! blends like a dream! I apply it right to my face and blend it out with my beauty blender! Blends seamlessly and I apply a lot!!
Thanks Mandy! The Dior backstage is my HG!! FYI I have normal/ dry winter skin and normal summer AND I will be 55 next month😜... I have two shades 2N and 3N.... If you do purchase is stick with the Neutral shades. The shades all lean yellowish IMO, but the finish of this foundation is gorgeous! I apply with my fingers almost like a moisturizer and go over with a damp sponge... Iconic nude and Love trap are my holy trails as well! Nothing compared to the lasting power of these loners...
Looking forward to Zendo :) I use my elf blending brush (or any firm brush) to blend out the Charlotte Contour Wand. I just tap tap tap - works much quicker than a beauty blender.
So for me, I love neutral to pink undertones for eye shadows and in the Australian Sephora sale that happened recently I picked up the Natasha Denona glam and bronze palettes. They are amazing and I adore the glam one so much! I love pairing it with the big neutral palette from colour pop and id like to try it with their new big palette.
I absolutely love love love you and that you’re worried/conscious about the shavings of the liner!!! 😂❤️ but it’s totally understandable AND relatable!!!! Love your content
I use my damp sponge for my CT wand. It does take time practice but I’m telling you, nothing compares. I ran out of my first one and didn’t think it was worth rebuying. After trying and spending a million dollars on other products, I gave I and realized the wand was the best. Just Got it again during the sale. I’m also jealous you got the Patrick ta blush. I had that in my cart ten times and didn’t end up buying it. I have fomo now. 😩🥰 I also got the iconic nude liner during my second purchase (ugh) during the sale. Can’t wait to try it.
Since it’s so creamy you can put in the freezer to make it hard about 5 mins. While you clean your sharpener. Then when you go to sharpen it won’t cream up on the sharpener. It will be creamy again once it warms back up.
That blush was gorgeous Mandy... I might need to pick it up... The benefit palettes are amazing I own 2 from previous years and I constantly reach for them, they never let me down... I loved everything you picked up btw 💕
Im pretty sure High end brands make lip liners that need to be sharpened bc they dont dry out as fast(compared to twistup).. at least that's what I've heard. Either way- u got some funnn products to play with! ❤
For FB cream blushes, I recommended you the shade Rose Latte, such a beautiful shade for fall/winter, it’s like a deep pink 👌🏻 and I really wish a video with various looks with the Zendo Palette, please! 🙏🏻
I’ve had that benefit palette for a couple months! It’s such a good palette for sure worth the money! I also like to layer Dallas over the bronzer to give a slight shimmer
For the contour wand, I love applying with the Sigma 3DHD kabuki brush-the top edge of its wedge shape really helps me keep the contour in the right place!
That Patrick Ta blush (the same color) has been on my loves list since it came out. Didn’t get it during the sale but hopefully I’ll grab it early next year.
Dangit! Now I have to get another one of those Patrick Ta blushes 🙄😂 BEAUTIFUL! It all looks beautiful! With that contour wand, I slather in on wider and blend it a little higher so its on more of my cheek.
I’ve held off on zendo because I thought it was way more similar than it is to mini retro. I’d love to see you do an eye look with zendo. On the CT contour wand I apply one cheek at a time because it sets down quick then blend with dense brush. I love that stuff.
I only ordered two things from the sale: the Rare Beauty eyeshadow palette in Confident Energy and the concealer brush from the same brand. The palette is a bit out of my comfort zone, but two of my favorite influencers loved it and recommended it. I think it will pair well with my neutral mattes from other palettes. Supposed to arrive this week. Excited!
I have one of those Patrick Ta's blushes. I almost got that She's so LA. I want to get that shade but I need to cool my jets for now. This look you created is beautiful. I love the CT lip liners. I have been hearing good things about Lawless. There loose powder is suppose to be very good.
The Benefit palette is with full size products! And they are expensive each of them, so maybe you did a good buy. I have all of them individually, so I just bought Cookie in the full size... but it was tempting!
I was so intimidated by the shade of the Patrick Ta blush but I also wanted it and didn't buy it because honestly you are the first one to talk about how different it looked in person compared to the photos and back on the wishlist it goes.
Hi Mandy beautiful products ,gorgeous eye ,cheek and lip look I really like the smoke on the bottom lash line it's a very classy effect ,you got some really lovely products, thanks for sharing this with us take care all the best Mary in Australia 🌻
OMG...... Every time I sharpen my Bobbi Brown Art Stick Crayon, I use what's left on the sharpener. It's like a $45 pencil and there's so much of the lipstick left on the sharpener that I cannot stand to just throw it away. I'm usually not that cheap and I'm sure there's gonna be a few of you cringing, but damm, I paid a lot for that lipstick and it's my FAV 💄💄💄💄 Anyways loved your Haul 💗🎉
I've had the benefit cheek palette on my wishlist for months but i already have the cookie highlight but none of the others and the few blushes and highlight i have from them i really enjoy. I love glittery though
I like using the CT contour wand with a brush. Less product gets soaked up like in a sponge. I like using a sponge for applying the Patrick Ta cream blush.
I was dying to try a Natasha Denona palette, so I decided I could get a mini, but only budgeted for one. I kept going back and forth between the Nude and Zendo one. In the end I chose Zendo, and once it came I was so happy. However, I haven’t gotten a chance to use it yet, and would love to see a video with it.
I went back and forth on ND mini zendo or mini retro...could not decide and missed the sale! I want a full comparison eye look video between these and your thoughts on which you like better!
*Mandy, I gotta say, I can't stand Morphe products BUT their lip liners are AMAZING and they're only $4!!!! You don't have to go to Charlotte Tilbury for a great lip liner!*
Would definitely love to see what you do with the zendo pallet! Also, the CT contour wand really is awesome. It's the only thing of hers I've been able to get and it quickly became my favorite. Thanks for sharing ❤
This is crazy sounding, but Stephanie Marie has the same experience. The drunk elephant lippie balm. Use it twice a day. It strengthens your lip lines. I'm 44 and my lips are more naturally defined than at any point since my early 20s. which makes me love lipliner more because it defines them and I don't have to do as much work correcting them. And the CT lipliners are hands down my favorite in my lipliner collection.
*This eye look (especially the eye SHAPE) IS THE BEST eye look you've ever done! You've got to do that "cat eye" shape much more often! Also, it looks like you're wearing colored contacts!*
I picked up a ton of CT products this sale. I haven’t purchased any makeup ALL YEAR so I just decided to go for it. 😂 I always use a sponge for the CT wands!
I highly recommend the pat McGrath permagel liners. I personally like a super sharp point when lining my lips. I'm 43 and contemplating lip filler juvaderm
I went into my Sephora to see the Patrick Ta blushes in person. The Coral shade and the Pink shade powders were completely faded to a yellow white. I guess from being constantly open to florescent lighting? The other shades didnt seem to be faded. It broke my heart a little because now I am not sure I want it. How long will it last?
I own the shade luminous bronze light in my hourglass trio I bought from nordstrom. I am in love with it! I def will repurchase another hourglass powder when these run out
I would use the Zendo & Retro mini palettes together if I owned them. They look like sister palettes. Can't wait to see what you think of the bronzers & blushes you bought. I ordered the small CT bronzer/highlight duo out of curiousity. Heard such good things about her powders & I can never find a bronzer that is pale girl friendly without being too cool/ashy. I only purchased 3 things & haven't gotten them all yet. I ordered an Hourglass finishing powder mini in Diffused Light, the CT Filmstar Bronzer mini & another CT Hot Lips lipstick in Angel Alessandra ( JK Magick was a little on the pink side for a nude on me)
That Benefit cheek palette is a good deal. I would prefer it in a palette because I don’t like it in those boxes. I may break down & purchase that cheek palette someday.
Good luck with Benefit blushes. The shade Rockateur ,I cannot get to show up on my skin which is about the same tone as yours. Also the shade, Georgia, does not show up apparently, on other youtubers who've mentioned it in their videos. That had to be expensive. I really hope they show up for you.
I absolutely love the Patrick ta blush too. I have the same color you got. I got the pat McGrath mini I’ll let you know how it is when I get it. Should be here tomorrow !
This was my dream haul. I love my hoola and CT bronzers and I'm interested in having the hourglass as a third option. I'm very interested to know your thoughts when you've tested them all!
I’ve heard the lawless shadows are great! 🙂 That contour wand has been in and out of my cart so many times. Let’s see I can abstain for one more day...😂
You might want to look into diffused bronze light from hourglass. We are similar in skin tone and I purchased that during the sale and I absolutely love it! 🤍 your videos!
@@leahfruchter1276 No it’s looks cool toned in the pan but it’s more of a neutral with a touch of warm on the skin. It’s like a light bronze glowy color because of the swirl of the ambient powder mixed in. Sorry for the long description just wanted to be clear in case you haven’t tried the hourglass bronzer formula yet. 🤍
@@leahfruchter1276 Yeah I feel like it’s a good bronzer but I don’t think it’s worth the price they ask for it. I only own 1 thing from hourglass(the bronzer) & I feel like if they dropped the price a little bit I would try a lot more from the brand.
My lips changed once I turned 40 :( I'm 42 now and I just started to use aquaphor based off of Jessica Braun's recommendation and they look so much better!!! However I am tempted with drunk elephant since so many of the comments are talking about it...
Girl! How have you not tried Hoola yet?! I’m 99% sure Hoola was the very first bronzer I ever tried. I had a tiny little “mini/sample” of it from one of the sets Benefit used to sell.
I find with my CT lip liner’s; is that they don’t sharpen well. Of course I ordered the CT sharpener because I didn’t want to risk it but yet they kinda mush down. I find you can never get a point again so don’t waste product trying to sharpen it achieve!
Yes, the benefit palette seems really expensive... but if you buying them separately it would be 150$... 😱 when you seeing it this way it seems really affordable 🙊

I got the zendo palette and it’s beautiful. I’ve done 2 looks so far and they were perfect

I think it has a lot to do with gene’s! I’ve lost color in my lips; that too is age related but also has a lot hormones.
Welcome to the Iconic Nude party! Best lipliner ever! Also love that Patrick Ta on you - def have to try that color!

CT contour wand blends so good with a brush

Invest in the Charlotte T sharpener, works great for all sharpening needs but doesn’t “eat” pencils esp CT liners.
That blush was gorgeous Mandy... I might need to pick it up... The benefit palettes are amazing I own 2 from previous years and I constantly reach for them, they never let me down... I loved everything you picked up btw 💕

I love your earrings!!!
Let’s see I can abstain for one more day...😂
The lawless shadows are great! I only have the little one palette but it is excellent!
Good call on the benefit palette! I adore mine and it’s such a great value!
You might want to look into diffused bronze light from hourglass. We are similar in skin tone and I purchased that during the sale and I absolutely love it! 🤍 your videos!
Is that bronzer more cool toned?
@@leahfruchter1276 No it’s looks cool toned in the pan but it’s more of a neutral with a touch of warm on the skin. It’s like a light bronze glowy color because of the swirl of the ambient powder mixed in. Sorry for the long description just wanted to be clear in case you haven’t tried the hourglass bronzer formula yet. 🤍
@@kanam85 thank you, i have the blush from hourglass but was never that impressed
@@leahfruchter1276 Yeah I feel like it’s a good bronzer but I don’t think it’s worth the price they ask for it. I only own 1 thing from hourglass(the bronzer) & I feel like if they dropped the price a little bit I would try a lot more from the brand.
Beautiful!
I love your look
Hi, please do a look with the Natasha Denona Mini Nude .. I would love to see how it looks on you. Please do the look soon! ^_^
I love that Benefit palette. I don’t ever want to ever be without it!
Love your video.. use a brush to blend out the Charlotte cream contour, you’ll love it.
Yes, the benefit palette seems really expensive... but if you buying them separately it would be 150$... 😱 when you seeing it this way it seems really affordable 🙊
Wonderful haul 🤗
I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how long the lip cheats last, even with sharpening.
