in the additional experiences section, in the how many languages you speak, should I mention the languages I can only read/write or the langauges im not very fluent in only learning recently. Should I only fill main languages
you can mention anything you feel. These things dont matter. So use your discretion.

You didn't have the option of uploading a photo in the ds160.

My name in passport is just as “Given Name” and as u suggested we need to write the given name in surname if there is no surname in the passport. However my number of character exceeds the limit. What should I do in this case?
Fill in how much ever fits. There are only 34 characters that are allowed in the Surname field. So fill the first 34 characters (including spaces) - of your Given Name in your case - as mentioned on your passport, in the Surname field. When you appear for the visa interview, inform the Visa Officer that your name on the DS160 is incomplete as the entire name did not fit there.

My agent suggested to put the name of the American university that I got into. Should i do that?
No you cannot put the US University's name as your current educational institution. If its more than a year since you attended school, college, then say unemployed and explain what you have been doing during the gap.

No you don't. You only need to mention employers in the past 5 years.

Because there I've written that I've started my education in 2015-2022 but I was confused when I filled out but now I've recognized that I started in 2016 up to 2022 if I change the officer will think that I'm a liar because I used two different informations but it could be the same ? hello sir, I have a little problem with the length of stay in the USA. I have an admission for language courses (2 months) as I plan to go to university after the language courses so I ask if I should add two months to the length of stay or 3 years (language courses). languages + 2 years of master's degree)
Currently if your admission is only for language course, then put 2 months

Primary Occupation will be: Unemployed and put an explanation that she graduated in June 2022 and was preparing for her DGCA exams since then.
In educational details you can include 10th, 12th and graduation details, although 10th details are not really required.

Sir, in the "person/entity paying for trip" I have put my parent's name thinking that it means flight tickets. My uni has waived off my tuition and will pay me a stipend to cover my living cost. I have alteady submitted my ds160. Is this mistake fatal? Or can I explain myself as my i20 clearly shows that my scholarships+assistantships is 7k more than my COA?

In fact I've another question I have a program of 3 years but in my passport I have only 2 years for being expired, what can I do about that in view that I've read something about that published by the U.S embassy that said that current Passport valid for travel to the U.S the passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the period of stay in the U.S

What to write in current employer if you are on a notice period? Does the information needs to be true when submitting the form or at the time of visa interview as well? Say, I get visa interview after 40 days, and I'll no longer be employed then, so what should I fill in the current employer section now?
It should be the status as on the day you submit the form. So on the day you submit if you are still employed ( and serving your notice period), mention your current employers details. (It doesn't matter when your visa appointment is scheduled).

I got i-20 but the duration is more than the actual duration of my program.
My duration of the masters program is 2 years but my college is showing more than 2 years approximately 2.9 years.

It doesn't matter what's written as the duration on the I20. Ignore it. In ds160 put the actual duration of the program (2 years)

If you have booked a date, you can still fill and submit another ds160 and see if you can update the ds160 number in your visa application.

The reason you shouldn't mention is that your interpretation of why your visa was rejected, may not be very accurate. So just mention the date on which the visa was rejected and the type of visa you had applied for.

Actually Sir, when I got my Passport last year , I applied using my IIT Institute address and so in the last page of my Passport I have my Room No and Hostel address of IIT which was my Current Address.
Now when I started filling the DS 160 form taking the help from your video , I got confused in the Address part as it asked for Home/Residential address and Mailing Address.
Now in the Home address i put in my Home address but what should I write in my Mailing address?
Should I write about my Current Hostel Address at IIT or should I write the Mailing address as same as Home address.
Actually my address in the last page of my passport has my present address i.e. IIT's address but I will be graduating in 2 months from IIT after which that address won't be of much significance as I will be leaving my Hostel in May 2024.

Whatever adress you enter in the ds160 Does NOT matter. You can put any adress. It need not match with your passport address. Put the address you are currently residing at

Actually the reason why I was worried is that my current hostel and institute address will become invalid in 2 months as I will be graduating so should I mention my home address as both my residential address as well as Mailing address?
Since you said address in passport won't matter.
Also one more thing I wish to ask you is
At the end of the form after putting in the SEVIS info they are asking the Location from which you are submitting the application.
Now since I am a resident of West Bengal, I had kept Kolkata, West Bengal as the place where I wish my Visa interview to happen but for the past 2 yrs I stay in Punjab as I am studying here in Ropar.
So in that location place should I put in Ropar, India or my homeplace location that is the West Bengal one?

I filled my ds 160 form And electronically signed and submitted it but just before the Final 'next confirmation ' they showed a session time out so Again when I retrieved my application , signed in , they directly took me to the confirmation page with that unique barcode. So I didn't really get the chance to click that next confirmation option. So shall I consider , since I got my ds160 confirmation they have recieved my all my data in their system?
Yes, if you have the confirmation, it means the form is submitted

Hello sir, my case is a peculiar one. I am a medical graduate. Passed my MBBS final year in 2017. After that i joined internship and took a break to prepare for USMLE exam, (which requires us not to complete the internship). Due to some health and financial issues i got caught up and couldn’t write the exam in time and when i did booked the date to write the exam, lockdown happened, i myself contracted covid and grieved for the deaths in family. After the pandemic, i lost hopes on my exam and resumed my internship, i completed it in 2023 and received my original degree and permanent registration. So now the issue is, I want to do MPH course in USA, but now i have 5 years gap in my CV ( June 2017 to September 2021) as i took long time to complete my internship. I cannot acquire a work experience, even though i worked part time with my temporary registration, as no one gives me because i worked without my permanent registration of degree. Now i am in dilemma and in need of your advice. If i want to apply, which year should i have to mention as graduation date ( after passing final MBBS) or after completing internship )? And where should i include my internship duties ? Please guide me, if i can apply for F-1 visa now or should i drop the idea of USA dreams ? Thank you. Awaiting your response.
If you get admit to a good university you can still get the visa. Your graduation date would be as mentioned on your MBBS degree

I have talked about my 10th-grade school's name in the present education section. But what should I write in the previous education section? And in the previous education section where I have to answer the following question -" Have you attended any institution on a secondary level or above?" I am not understanding if the answer is yes or no. If yes, should I again write about my 10th-grade school's name as 10th grade is the secondary level.
For your information, I have completed my 10th grade 2 years ago. From 2022 to 2023 I did not go to any high school in my country. Now, I want to go to US in a high school to grade 11.
You can say NO to the question in the previous education section.
