The truth is, some general must have a desire to own such a profitable business. This is just a smoke screen. Justice would have been to shut down all including the naval farms and clubs.
Exactly, its either the game if greed by some scoundrel general or some fucking powerful Politician who has (might) personal issues with the Restaurant management for e.g Muhammad Amjad. If the Monal is being shutdown, then rest of the activites that are going in there for .eg Naval Clubs and stuff should also be banned/ closed.

Its illegal to build anything inside a park, before 2005 it was a temporary structure made with a bamboo ceiling, then they started building it properly knowing fully that its wrong and illegal.

its not an international company. his brother was also the cabinet secretary. he got a notification approved where margalla hills was transferred to interior ministry which is wrong. this all benefited him. IHC declared all activities in margalla hills illegal which also included monal, case was not about monal at the start. military wants 8000 acre in margalla for defense pruposes as usual we all know its for ayashi.

They say hotels/rest houses are allowed in that area and only restaurant is not allowed, convert monal into a hotel it will be a great place to sleep.

Monal is never the face of Pakistan . It was an illegal commercial activity like all other illegal commercial activities like Pine City and other restaurants . They all must be immediately closed and banned forever . Margalla Hills is a National Heritage and must be preserved . Islamabad is affected greatly by global warming and now its local citizens do not want any more exploitation of city's natural habitat .
Could TCM bring the actual truth in the public? May be develop a detailed documentary on this issue, while including comments from other stakeholders too...
Monel isn’t just a restaurant, it is a global level tourist attraction for hundreds of foreign and thousands of local tourists. Should be considered as national heritage. We are into a self-destruction mode unfortunately and no one is feeling how painful it is.
Government does not give a shit about the Tourist or some business. Who prints the rupees? As long as there is FIAT currency. This Inflation or game of money ( Capitalism) will Burn down the average man.
I am an educational consultant and we help people move abroad for studies. 2-3 years prior, we would not receive cases like this but nowadays even people with 50-80 crores+ assets in Pakistan are approaching us because they want to move abroad. This is how unsafe investors and in general, civilians, feel in Pakistan now. If this keeps on, nobody will make assets in the country. People will move their money abroad gradually.

No commercial activity should be allowed in National Park jurisdiction . Islamabad is not what it was before . Global warming has affected the climate of Islamabad so much that now winters are shorter then it were before and all the locals are well aware of it . SC should ban Pine City as well as its a threat to the future of National Park . People feeling sad for Monal should understand that it was illegal to make a restaurant there at first place and all other such places should be closed as well.

Garbage and excessive public visits are issue in margala hills. after this is solved maybe the peaceful environment can comeback. Your restaurant is responsible for garbage dumps on Margalla Hills

This is an abhorrent judgement , one of the worst judgements one has seen from our courts, this is seen as a personal favour to someone in the wild life department, well close the others as well.
So what judgement are we on about.
Pakistan army has by force taken the most expensive state lands by force for one excuse or another. They even had the margala hills Islamabad in their claws, starting off with a restaurant called monal. Army ran this business shamelessly and eying more land to capture, but luckily supreme court intervened and saved the margala hills from being converted into a housing scheme made by army.

The hunger for state owned land by Pakistan army is unsatiable.
It demanded 100s of thousands of state owned agriculture lands from Punjab and sind government in addition to 6000 sea front land of karachi for the expansion of DHA.

Why everyone is saying it shouldn't be banned or closed because its a tourist attraction. I think it should be banned becuase if CDA is not allowing other investors to open such facility then why only monal. Its not about national park but the view that gives extra advantage to Monal. The premeses. Monopoly on the basis of certain area should be banned. If CDA allows other then monal can keep doing the business.

Monal aur LaMontana produce alot of polution and locals have complained about that alot. But the rich and greedy owners of these restaurants don't bother to give a hear. This is of their own making. A good decision by court. But other establishments should also be limited.
Selective justice is a joke and is carried out on the orders of the establishment.
They destroyed Nesla Tower but left all the illegal occupations in Karachi. Then they ordered the evacuation of La Montana and Monal but forgot about the rest of the occupations within the National Park. Most recently, they discovered that PTI's Central Secretariat is also not approved by the CDA after so many years.
All of this is just nonsense being done to appease the powerful in this country.
As per my understanding monal owners produced the notification of 1910 stating that the land belongs to the army, and their lease had also been expired and needed a new auction, their own doing led to their downfall.

Let me save you 8:56 seconds with a summary: The gentleman claims that his business wasn't the only one operating illegally for years by exploiting system loopholes and corrupt state departments, yet he's the only one who has been prosecuted and punished. He also makes condescending remarks about the Supreme Court due to his lack of legal understanding. Although the High Court's order targeted all businesses operating on protected land, only his business (La Montana) and Monal filed for a review in the Supreme Court. Therefore, the Supreme Court only addressed their review.
Sorry brother. How can you say illegally. If it was illegal then why did they pay lease amount to CDA. Please learn to distinguish what is legal and what is not first.
@@fishyfishy3182 Courts exist to resolve disputes when contracts are broken or when someone who should have been included was left out. In the Monal case, the CDA, Army, and restaurants owners made a deal for land in a protected National Forest, even though they knew from the beginning it was illegal. This makes their agreement invalid and is also a crime. Just like you can't legally buy the Taj Mahal, you can't claim something is legal just because you paid for it.
Changing rules don't make things illegal. If rules are changed, they should have compensated and should have tackled the already on going businesses.

Simple now we'll see army lodges here which are forbidden or overly expensive for civilians not that monal wasn't but at least civilian were allowed now only army officers will enjoy. I request government of Pakistan to remove housing societies and golf clubs from agriculture land of Pakistan especially a very well known housing society from mango farms of Multan and agriculture land of Lahore suburbs.

Future of our children is more important than commercial profits of Amjad's who has already made a fortune from medicine sale industry. These hills are the lungs of Pakistan which is already ðeforested suffering glacier meltdown, flash floods, warming, smog, disease etc etc etc. To hell with profits of few seths.
