    As someone who has done graffiti for a good amount of time this would've been extremely useful if I saw this during my beginning years. This is very well explained and surprisingly explains where I went wrong when I was a toy.

      Thanks mate, me too. Took me years to work it all out and still learning now.

    Thank you brother for this amazing video. I work very out of the box creating unique style but I was missing so much simple form and vocabulary of art in general . You sure took me to school and I've been riding since 2000 so 23 years . I don't miss any of your videos. I even go as far back as I can to learn as much as I can from you unique style, characters, fillins and background Techniques. Your catalogue is exceptionally amazing! Please keep making vids for the graffiti community.

    Real nice break down. I think it is always helpful to see how other artist think about what they create.

    Great advice👍 In the eighties we used to use English leather logo or the Nike swoosh to spice it up 👍didn't realise it was a serif👍 love it👍

      It's funny, we learn all these fancy terms long after we used them just because we thought they looked cool. Thanks for commenting mate!

    It would be intersting to see your way of doing textures and the inner sides of the letters. Just a suggestion for the next tut! Great vid btw!

    For sure it is a video for beginners but despite that it is very useful and very enjoyable to watch, I get Bob Ross vibes from your videos but for graffiti. Keep up the good work!!!

    Excellent!
    The 3x3 !!!
    I lived by this in typography class!
    For the newer artist:
    Always draw the grid until you don't have to!
    Use light lines and remember you can ALWAYS erase.
    If, for any reason, you think that this is cheating, you're hanging around the wrong people. ;)
    It was great to see you put up a TOTEM piece! He used to bomb my corner all the time way back in the day. Notorious on Krog street!
    (Those who know, know... ;) 404 Strong!)
    Again, i think it's killer that your showing the bones. In reality, it'll make us all not have to look at so much bad graf!!! ;)
    Make a mess!

    • @CUTEMKUltras
      @CUTEMKUltras  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks mate, I know there's a lot of more experienced graf heads that watch but personally I think it always does me good to get back to basics sometimes. The main problem is getting stuck in a rut when your art begins to run on rails. Can happen to any of us. Even if the piece looks great it can be very demoralising feeling that its the same sht again and again.
      What state was that back in the day? I'm always looking to improve my graf history.

    • @christopherdelaney6263
      @christopherdelaney6263 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That was in Atlanta, Georgia.
      A long, long time ago.
      TOTEM, SEVER, HENSE, and a ton of others painting in Atlanta back then.
      There's a famous tunnel on Krog Street that goes under the mass transit tracks... Always covered in amazing graffiti.
      Pretty incredible writers today. They've covered pretty much everything out there now...
      I'd give a million to go back and have one more run at the old spots.

    • @christopherdelaney6263
      @christopherdelaney6263 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      And yes... I totally agree with you. The basics are where it's at.
      It helps so much to just go back and do the simple stuff to get energized to do the stuff that requires a lot more thought and confusion.
      Just after watching this I did an alphabet, just to pull the reigns in a bit.
      And, wouldn't you know it.
      My next piece was leagues above the one I did prior. ;)
      Hahaha... Isn't that the way?
      This series is gonna help a lot of the newer people getting into this.
      It is very cool of you to pass on your knowledge and wisdom.
      Best to ya
