Looked like a fun time. I used to do a lot of winter camping in my younger days, but we didn't have camp stoves or heaters . . . well, not in the early days anyway. We only started using hot tents as we got older (like about 20 years ago (HAHAHA!!!). - - - 10:45 - and here's your Q-Tip of the day (lol): it's not what's on top of you that keeps you warm; it's what's under you. Put a space blanket under your mattress to deflect your body heat, then your mattress, then a cotton beach towel to soak up the humidity from your body and then a wool or fleece blanket to put a layer of air between your sleeping bag and the wet towel. Even with a -10 sleeping bag you will stay warm in -20 and you won't have to get up to stoke the fire. Trust me, you will have a wayyyyy better sleep. And if you stay more than one day, simply hang the towel out every day to dry. - - - Even when we started using a hot tent, we found we were always shivering if we didn't have the proper layers underneath us. - - - 19:43 - OMG, NO!, it looks disgusting - HAHAHA!!! - - - 22:30 - That is a very cool coffee press! Where did you get it? Mmmmmmm, coffee!!!! - - - 24:40 - ahhhhh yesssss! Hot sauce is a staple! - - - Good video Rob! Nice job on the editing!
Thanks for the Q tip lol I did have a fleece blanket folded in half under there somewhere. The press is a Stanley. I got it on Amazon. Way faster than the perc. Thanks for watching Q!

Man that looks like some fun. Princess Auto has the camp stoves on sale again. If I didn't have to buy a new computer last weekend I would have considered getting one to start!!
@@RobMillerATV They have two designs, one round like yours and another that's square for a little bit more. How did your sled manage this time in the ride in?
What an adventure! I love it! I'm wondering tho, how do you stake a tent in the snow? Have to figure that out for myself. im planning on gearing up this summer for everything I need to go camping next winter.

I love your style!! My last quad purchase , a 2021 outlander mossy oak 570 came from the same dealership. I’m curious where you are located.

I made my own stakes. 1 foot 8mm rebar. Thanks for watching. It's great to hear that people enjoy watching. Thanks!
Broknex, you'll need 3' tent pegs - lol. I believe they sell them at NAPA in Cordova 😉
@@quaddingsous I might know a guy there… Haha

Lol. Come on, I could pull off yoga pants, ok maybe not. Ya I run a 1500w inverter. It's a pain to lug around. But it will do for now.
Is that dill pickle soup you are eating?
I don't remember what it was, but it wasn't dill pickle

Wood stove works well. But it came in bad shape. Door didn't line up. Had to adjust some stuff. Thanks for subscribing.
