      Actually when we are poor in our past and successful later on we feel less emphatic towards the poor , because then we know exactly how it feels to be poor , what it takes get over our poverty and most importantly we know that poor does not mean good . Most of the time poor people are unlucky and stupid which further results in them being violent , rude and more stupid .
      I have been really poor in my life , so poor that we did not have a bathroom in our home till 2007 . But through hardwork of my father we can now afford a decent lifestyle and even many of my relative's have come out of poverty too . But when I look at my relatives who are still poor I see the worst side of humanity , they are not committing any crime or illegal activities , but the way treat their children , their spouse , their parents is just insane , they are always bad mouthing everyone , they always expect favours from others but it's so hard to help them or even feel like helping them after seeing their behavior . This is literally every other poor person .
      Poor people will be nice to you either for favours or they are scared of you also people treat them badly after seeing their behaviour but they don't realise what they are doing is wrong .
      no one will help them except them other wise they will be forever trapped in the vicious circle of poverty. When my family was poor we were like that too , although I would not say I am such a good human after I came out of poverty but I have come a long way .

    Carnegie's life is fascinating. It provides a look into a human being who can be as ruthless in business as he can be generous in charity. The fact he didn't even left a single dollar for his family speaks for the fact that maybe he was not fully a bad person. Human beings are complex. They can be cruel and kind , happy and angry , divine and devil. To distill them into a single parameter will always result in failure.
    Also Carnegie is long gone. We can learn from his bad deeds and follow his good ones. Judging is futile.

    • @joeah3479
      @joeah3479 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @Antonio Giuseppe Totally right. It can be called reputation laudering. After all, they are donating money they earned with the sweat and misery of other people not theirs. It is false charity and kindness. With time, we start learning to admire more a person who donates a hard earned penny rather than large sums earned immorally (but legally). This is well illustrated in the Bible also.

    • @Ferroes
      @Ferroes 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Antonio Giuseppe; the reverse is also true. Ford in his late 20s was the most renowned in his time. He would increase the pay for his workers forcing skilled workers' wages to rise as the competition couldn't appeal to their employees, allowing frequent days off just because they were stressed or overly exhausted, and making the parts easy to assemble making it cheaper & easier for both the assembly and manufacturer employees to fufill high quotas without cruel conditions whereas Ford in his 50s was the exact opposite; he would impose strict long hours forcing them to sleep in the factory where if they were late they would loose their jobs or their pay, cruel quotas for high quality for a pittance of pay, and oppressing then beating protestors for better conditions where his son was a part of who he disowned.
      It's as the original comment said, "humans are complicated"

    • @Ferroes
      @Ferroes 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Joe AH; that was used by everyone prior to the modern Reformation: industrial revolution, every kingdom's serfdom, slavery as a whole, etc
      Yet you don't complain about the cruel work conditions of every industrial revolution's cruel working conditon, king William 3rd's unfair serfdom where peasants are forced to pay unregulated tax to the land owners (peasants), or even the silk road slavery enforced by every Catholic, protestant, and orthodox king imposes on the other branch of Christianity

I was just talking that the principle itself is stated in the bible, but no doubt was not well applied, even in so called Christian kingdoms. I was just criticising the nowadays mediatic machinima obsessed with success and hailing rich people while hiding the reality of how it was achieved. (I think we are all fed up with the rag to riches story of college drop outs. They to shut up and expose to us where these people commited bad behavior to achieve that.
