edit: as a former nationally ranked gymnast _I know_ he didn't stick it. He lost a 0. % from that lil hop ( and idek what men's gymnastics does with counting demerits ) but if the dismount rating of the trick is high enough a minor imistake doesn't matter overall. Well the problem is that the jump he did is gonna cost points for Gunther since he did not land the trick. That jumps shows the judges that he may have fallen forwards or backwards so that's why he had to do the jump to stabilize and not fall on his butt
