Absolutely phenomenal performance from our barefoot Viking , Angelina wrote Million Miles as a tribute to her Grandfather who passed away and for anyone who has lost a loved one, not Angelina’s first original but her first original after she signed with Republic records at 14 years old, the song became relevant during the Pandemic,there are several versions of Million Miles, a studio version, a video version which was filmed by Angelina’s Grandmother Meri Zamani, and featuring Angelina’s sister Juliette running having fun , also Angelina’s Uncle Mike is the man chasing Juliette in the video,a artistic version where Angelina’s Grandmother Mery is the artist who painted the theme for Million Miles, also a live concert performance in her own country Norway when Angelina was 16 years old, this concert I actually attended in Norway, Angelina is phenomenal live, great reaction thanks

The person, she sings about is her maternal, japanese grandfather, who took her with him into Oslo as a little girl, to help the homeless community. Both were highly respected by said community.
Today Miss Angelina cares for the homeless community in LA, very discreetly. She said about her maternal grandfather "He was a true gentleman".

Thank you for another grand reaction to Angelina. She is no stranger to the sadness caused by death and in her short life has had to come to terms with the death of two grandfathers, a personal friend, a family friend, one of her idols and the daughter of another. Her way of coming to terms with her grief is to pay tribute to the deceased in song. I list the name of the person she is honouring and their date of death, how she knew, or knew of, that person, the song she chose and the date the recording was released.

Aretha Franklin,a legendary singer, was one of Angelina's idols, and within days of her death she released a tribute to her. She took one of Aretha's all-time hits and completely rearranged it to fit the occasion. Avicci (Tim Bergling) was a very successful Swedish DJ and singer/songwriter and became a personal friend of Angelina and her family,. In 2019 Angelina's maternal grandfather died, and she wrote her song "Million miles" as a tribute to him. There were three videos of this song released and all of them are worth viewing. However, the most emotional one and that which the majority of people favour is the Studio Performance. It has over 3.5 million views.

There are 3 videos of this song. This one the studio (personal favorite, as you really feel the emotions). An actual video, starring her, Juliette playing a younger version of Angelina, and her uncle/manager playing the grandfather (his father). Then there is the storyboard video with lyrics, artwork from Angelina and grandma Mery. The BEST live version of this song was 2 years ago at Kurbadhagen - Norway. She slowed it down and that section that really hits when she cries out, she carries even longer in this live version. The bandmembers is the same members she's played with since younger. The upright bass player looks on like a proud father when she hits that part.
Her Original song, “Million Miles” contains an expression some do not understand: ". . . pulling my heart, like an empty Bubble to be thrown.” At times, people find themself in their own little ‘world’ or, aka, in their own little ‘Bubble.’ Emptiness. Great sorrow . . . Why she chose the Cello!
Such poetic prose from Angelina was recorded at 14. She wrote this tribute to her Paternal Grandfather (Swedish), who passed away March 4, 2018, she was 12. “This song is very personal to me, because I had never felt the feeling of losing a family member before I wrote this.” Only 6 days later, she dedicated this to him. “You Are Always on my Mind” 😇🌺

Thank you for the wonderful reaction. This is Angelina, a unique girl with her amazing family around her, they are truly a wonderful reality. This is a very sweet, deep and very intense song and dedicated with infinite love to the missing grandfather jut some months before and to all the people who have lost someone. In the same time it's also a song full of hope and sweetness, with beautiful lyrics write at only 13 years. Angelina is never what you expect, she is always beyond, she is outside the standard, however high those can be.💛🧡❤

Angelina wrote "Million Miles" in the days after her maternal grandfather passed in 2019 when she was 13. This song was the first one released on Republic Records after she signed with them in August 2020. Million Miles was the first song to make me weep. I had lost 5 loved ones in the previous 3+ years and Angelina provided me with HOPE. Angelina has told us she has written over 100 songs and we have been blessed with 12 to date.

Angelina wrote new lyrics for two famous songs by Amy Winehouse, "Back to Black" and "Rehab" since it was inappropriate for a preteen to sing the original lyrics. For "Back to Black" Angelina wrote the new lyrics in the 24 hours prior to the recording, then needed just two takes.

For a while l had a time of isolation from my daughters, Angelina filled that void for a long time, plus l had 2 recent deaths of close friends...we love her so much!!
