As usual, AJ at 12 years of age makes every cover her own, and much better than the original. Do you think that Rihanna saw this performance and that was one of the reasons Stargate Production signed Angelina Jordan? Stargate Production Co. (Beyonce, Rihanna, Sam Smith)
Can you imagine sitting next to the genius of Angelina and hearing those hypnotic, heavenly sounds coming out of this lovely child. No one on earth has this ability, she is in a lane of her own.

When you see Ivan Mendez playing the guitar and that microphone which she got for her 12th birthday you know she is 12 years old.

Wonderful reaction again. They are not in a studio: Ivan would visit Angelina's home for these recordings (as Egil did when she was younger, back in Norway). He talks about his visits, and this recording in particular, in his interview with Alan Papier (which is on YT). Ivan said in the interview that her finaly "Stays" were the most beautiful thing he has ever heard... and indeed he found it hard to concentrate with such vocal beauty. Have you seen yet the video of Angelina singing Whitney at 18 months...? If it hadn't been recorded it would be hard to believe - and it is astonishing to watch... you feel even at that very (very) young age you can see her musical mind working....

Watch as Ivan Mendez, Angelina's LA guitarist reacts to her voice, he is blown away by her storytelling vocals, and he was working with her very often. This is a classic example of the fact that no matter how many times one has experienced AJ performances she has the ability to hypnotize you with those storytelling vocals.
I was noticing that! I often look at the instrumentalists that accompany Angelina, and you can tell that they are as in awe of Angelina's brilliant talent! Great love and respect is seen in all of their faces! Happy New Year! Love and Light!
What is truly remarkable involves the fact that this was a huge hit song for
Rhianna, who required numerous takes and a studio filled with expert
musicians to bring her final product to us. Angelina, is 'at home' and decided
to do this cover on the 'spur of the moment' with her friend Ivan. Neither of
them were fully versed in the song and Ivan simply follows Angelina's lead as
she reads lyrics off the tablet at her side. While doing this she rearranges the
song 'on the fly' and brings more emotion to this heartfelt ballad than Rhianna
did. A top exec at Stargate said he knew of only three artists who could produce
a 'production ready' rendition of a song in 'one take' and they are Beyonce, Sam
Smith.......and Angelina.

I would suggest that you watch Angelina’s cover of I Who Have Nothing which she sang at age 6. You should also watch her performances on Norway’s Got Talent which is where she got her start. She won it when she was only 8.
