Dayum, I'm pretty proud of my 1500+ manga collection but unfortunately more than 90% of which are translated into Chinese. I have probably 0 manga translated into English as they are usually released slower and most of the jokes/meaning is lost in the translation at times. That said, I do have approximately 10% of my manga in Japanese but I gotta say your collection is really neat! I do have them in shelves but they are all over the place, whereas yours are placed in the correct order.
Also, 3 years ago I had been to Japan with a senior from college and he bought so much manga that his luggage went overweight. He was forced to pay an extra USD200 or toss the manga which probably cost him around 10-20% of that. We had gone to Book-off (100 yen store) to get them but yes, second hand manga is insanely cheap in Japan. I've also managed to find some with the limited rare collectibles and they cost 108 yen. Previously I saw the exact same manga with collectibles on ebay and it costs USD150.
How did I miss the notification for this??

The one who got me when I was young (15 years old now 30 yrs old) was GUNNM (the french title) but I think in English is Battle Angel Alita. OMG, I read that manga so many times (trough hard times too), it was my way to cheer me up. The characters are so cool and the universe too. The skills and style of Yukito Kishiro are just Wow! It's my all time favourite manga, it did open my eyes and make me love more dark, deep, complex stories and also change the way I saw life (very deep! right? ^^). Now, just by writing this, I just want to open my collection box and read them all right now loll 😅😂

Your collection is really cool! I used to collect manga alot through school 1. for the story but 2. the amazing diversity in artwork for reference.
Also I just recently gotten into a manga called Devils Line. You should check it out the books are at volume 10 ( I read online though too but really going to buy the books) and they just announced making a anime adaption from it. If you do read them you'll notice early on some of the proportions of anatomy are a tad cringy but the story wins it for me!

Hey, Mikey, I own a few manga volumes of Higurashi when they cry, all you need is kill. 2 volumes of attack on titan, and a volume of akame ga kill. You have a really good collection. I watched the monster anime but I didn't read all of the manga. The 20th-century boy's manga is amazing. I've read them all including the sequels.

This was an awesome video!! It was very interesting seeing your manga collection as well as your lovely face of course. The way you described Berserk made me even more interested in watching it!! I haven't seen it at all, but if you like the dark gothic style, you might wanna give the game Bloodborne a try!! It's all based in a gothic style city and the art style is fucking awesome!! There's tons of gore and some really fucked up monsters. I'm sure you'd enjoy it☺️☺️☺️☺️
I've been collecting the 200 Kochikame volumes in japanese and I will complete it one day. I was surprised you didn't have them. Is regarded by Japan one of the best and if the not the best Manga ever

dragon ball was my favorite manga when i was young. I have the complete collection of Gunsmiths Cats by Kenichi Sonoda, great story and art also one of my favorites. also nice collection.
Awesome collection Mikey i suggest an another manga series called Jojo bizarre adventure it artsyle is amazing of how it changes and the story is amazing and the concept behind it and it has the best manga poses you will ever see

+mikeymegamega one manga which I suggest to read is Air Gear,is a beautiful story and designs, is an old age almost 4 years and there are 37 volumes,but this manga is fantastic.
What is your favourite arc in Berserk?
Mine was Arc of Retribution because of the massive build up, we know what could happen while reading because of the events in the eclipse but it shifted in a different direction while still being epic
I am learning Japanese right now on my own. The lessons are tough at times, but I try to listen to subbed anime at work on a minimized window. I still don't pick up too much, but my reading skill is slowly improving. I am still on the first of 3 lessons.

you should totally finish the rest of Trigun and Trigun Maximum its awesome and goes way beyond the anime. also pick up Bloodblockade Battlefront also by Yasuhiro Nightow. Also I'm shocked you dont have Gunm\Battle Angel Alita.

Teacher, What are the 3 basic essential techniques that one needs to learn. In my dally life as a guitar teacher, and or Brazilian jujitsu practitioner I always realize there are 3 basic things one needs in order to start branching out a art form. What are these things for drawing Manga, and or Anime.
I recommend you a manga called oyasumi punpun or goodnight punpun , it's a boy growing up and shines a light on the darker themes of life. Much of it really resonated with me , you should defenintly give it a read

A really great manga I feel you should read is My Hero Academia. It is insanely good as it delves into a world where 80% of the world's population obtain some kind of superpower, and in this world the role of super heroes becomes an occupation. The characters are amazing in not only design but in their personalities, abilities, and development. Although that's not to say all the characters are as developed as others because the creator tends to focus on massive development on a few characters at a time instead of tiny developments for every character. The creator has said he will give each character their own development but he wants to do them justice, so it will take some time to get to them. The action is great as well as it tends to not be as flashy as possible, but about developing the characters in some way. The artwork is also great as it tends to mix the bubbly cute art style of manga with the bold dark style of western comics. Also I forgot to mention, the creator is a huge fan of western comics and movies and it shows in his series.
